Chapitre 46

"Also, I don't call myself 'Hey,' it sounds awful. My surname is Lin, Lin Yoona."

Yang Feng withdrew his gaze, turned around and opened the piano lid, revealing the inside of the piano. The strings inside were covered with a dark green liquid. It was because of the dense array of strings that the head was stuck inside, and it was the broken strings at the bottom that caused the head to fall out.

After closing the piano lid, Yang Feng looked at the principal beside him, ignoring his strange gaze, and said:

"Judging from the head alone, the deceased died approximately 12 hours ago. A forensic examination is needed to determine the exact time of death. By the way, have you called the police?"

The principal looked at Yang Feng, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, and said, "I've already called the police, they should be here in a few minutes. But, how do you know all this, student?"

Yang Feng just smiled faintly and continued, "This head has already developed putrid green spots, and there's still some phlegm on it. It's obvious that it was put in the piano yesterday or the day before. It's just that the smell of decay was masked by the piano and became a little faint, so you didn't pay attention to it. Am I right?"

"It really is! I noticed a slight odor when I was playing, but I didn't pay much attention to it," said Yoona.

Just then, a series of sirens came from outside, and several police cars stopped at the entrance. Leading the way out was Deputy Captain Yun Bi, whose dashing figure drew the stares of many male students around her.

She had several police officers quickly cordon off the scene, and as she stepped forward, she saw Yang Feng. A hint of surprise flashed in her beautiful eyes, and she blurted out, "It's you?!"

"What a coincidence, beautiful policewoman, we meet again." Yang Feng smiled slightly and said.

Lin Yoona and the principal were a little confused. Did this student even know the police?

Yun Bi glanced at Yang Feng indifferently, walked to the side of the head, and then asked the police officers behind her to call the forensic doctor.

Not long after, the young police officer arrived at the scene with a middle-aged man in a white coat and glasses, carrying something that looked like a medical kit.

The forensic doctor, Wang Bingqi, had been working in the field for over five years. He approached the head, a puzzled look on his face, and asked, "Is this only the head of the corpse? Where is the body?"

Yunbi crossed her arms, a look of confusion on her brow.

The principal quickly stepped forward and said, "We don't know where the body is, only the head, which fell out when the student was playing the instrument."

"Is it just the head?" Forensic doctor Wang adjusted his glasses, took out gloves from the box, put them on, and began examining the head.

Yun Bi said to the police officers behind her, "Take men and thoroughly search the school. Don't miss any corner. See if you can find the body."

As they spoke, the operatives began to move.

The forensic doctor, Wang, stood up, took off his gloves, and slowly said, "Based on the initial assessment, the presence of putrefactive green spots on the body and the body temperature, and the relatively high air temperature this month, being in summer, I can only conclude from this that the deceased died 12 hours ago. However, to be accurate, we need to find the body to further determine the time of death."

"Wow, that's amazing!" Yoona exclaimed, her beautiful eyes sparkling.

"That's alright, little sister. We forensic doctors all know this kind of knowledge."

When the forensic doctor saw a very pretty girl talking to him, a proud smile appeared on his lips, and he said in a pretentious manner.

"I wasn't talking about you." Lin Yoona said speechlessly, then added, "I was talking about Yang Feng. He said almost exactly the same thing as you."

"Huh? Who?" Forensic doctor Wang was stunned for a moment, then turned to look at Yang Feng, who had a calm expression. His face flushed red. He had been presumptuous.

Yang Feng's eyes looked to the other side of the school, slowly scanning it, carefully examining every place from a distance.

After a while, several operatives jogged over from a distance and reported, with the leader saying, "Reporting to Deputy Captain Yun, we have searched every part of the campus, but we haven't found any bodies."

"The body isn't in the school?" Yun Bi frowned slightly, muttered to herself, and her beautiful eyes inadvertently swept over the artificial lake before she said, "The artificial lake, do you think you can find it there?"

As they spoke, several members of the operation began searching the artificial lake.

Yang Feng also suspected that the body was in the artificial lake, because it was the only place in the school where one could hide, and it could remain undiscovered for a short period of time, or even a long period of time.

After a while, three operatives emerged from the artificial lake and said, "Deputy Captain Yun, no body was found at the bottom of the lake."

"How is that possible?" Yun Bi was somewhat surprised and muttered, "Is the corpse really not in the school? This is a bit troublesome."

Immediately, he turned to the squad leader beside him and said, "Retrieve all the surveillance footage from the school gate and inside the school over the past few days and conduct an investigation. Also, send an investigation team..."

------------

Is there a ghost in Chapter 45?

At Yanjing No. 2 High School, investigators have already begun their search. The site has been cordoned off, and most students have left. However, a small number of curious students have not left and have instead sneaked in to take a look.

"Yang Feng, let's go quickly, there's no point in staying here." Yang Lianqing's small, lotus-root-like hand tugged at Yang Feng's sleeve as she watched her classmates leave.

"No." Yang Feng waved his hand decisively and shook his head. The system mission was not yet completed, and he would not leave unless he failed.

“You…” Yang Lianqing looked at Yang Feng with teary eyes, somewhat indignant. She didn’t understand why Yang Feng was staying here. Couldn’t he just leave everything that happened here to the police to handle?

When she saw the hideous head on the stage, she was terrified, but he still had to stay at school, which made her furious.

Yang Feng walked slowly toward the side of the school, his younger sister following closely behind in fear. After all, it was late at night, and the school seemed eerie. From time to time, one could hear the cold wind rustling through the branches and leaves.

The classroom was pitch black, without a single glimmer of light, its glass reflecting the daytime streetlights.

Yang Lianqing felt a little cold, so she hugged her arms tightly and turned her head slightly towards the classroom window, as if a dark shadow had passed by.

The school at night is really a bit scary.

"Yang Feng, shall we go back?" The little girl grabbed Yang Feng's clothes with her small hand and pleaded, her pitiful and pretty face making people want to sympathize with her.

Yang Feng's thoughts were completely interrupted, and his brows furrowed in anger. He turned to look at his sister and said impatiently:

"Either you go back by yourself and stop chattering here, okay?"

After saying that, Yang Feng continued walking towards the back of the school. His younger sister stood frozen in fear, staring blankly at Yang Feng's back. The night was so thick that his figure had already disappeared.

She hadn't expected Yang Feng to speak in such an impatient tone; he had never been like that before.

Suddenly, he felt wronged, pouted, and gave a soft snort: "Fine, I'll go back by myself!"
