Kapitel 2

The cannibals have come to hunt...

Cannibals!

They eat people!

They're all kneeling on the ground!

Isn't hunting just about hunting them?!

Stop kneeling! Get up and run!

The people on the ground had no intention of running away; their eyes gleamed as they looked at Shen Nong, their gazes filled with hope.

Imagine if they had no priests before, and when they encountered cannibals, they didn't even dare to fight. They could only run away, and if they couldn't escape, they would be captured and eaten.

But now they have priests. The elders of the tribe have said that as long as they have priests, they no longer need to fear dying in agony after battle without the priests' healing.

This time they're going to fight!

Shen Nong felt a chill run down his spine from the intense gazes he was being stared at; he had a feeling that these primitive people were up to something.

They're about to be eaten, and they're still trying to cause trouble!

Do you really expect him to perform miracles on this bunch of incompetent fools?

He really can't handle cannibals!

Footsteps could be heard in the distance, along with the sound of leaves rustling together.

Shen Nong pulled up the person kneeling beside her and said urgently, "Run!"

Upon hearing the priest's command, the people of the Wood Tribe were stunned for a moment before quickly getting up and preparing to run after the priest.

Since the priest told them to run, then they ran.

They listen to the priests.

The cannibals arrived even faster; they carried stone spears, wore feathers in their hair, had huge green leaves around their waists, and were covered in varying degrees of blood.

As primitive humans, they were large in size, with dark skin and strong muscle definition.

Shen Nong looked at the little bamboo sticks on her side and thought that one of these cannibals could kill ten of them.

The cannibals discovered food and raised their stone spears, cheering loudly.

In their eyes, humans are no different from wild animals; they are all carnivores.

Humans are even easier to catch than wild animals.

The forest floor was riddled with hidden rocks, and Shen Shen was extremely tense, but in the end, he couldn't avoid them. He stepped on a hidden rock and slipped backward.

The cannibals, who were hot on their heels, swung their stone spears at Shen Nong, but the spears failed to hit her.

In a moment of crisis, one of the Wood Tribe members tackled the cannibal to the ground, shouting, "Protect the priest!"

Seven or eight people instantly surrounded Shen Nong, their dirty and bloodstained hands grabbing at her arms.

Even with clothes in the way, Shen Nong still felt somewhat uncomfortable.

Shen Nong suppressed the discomfort, warning herself that now was not the time to have an attack.

The young man who had saved Shen Nong earlier was captured by the cannibals. The cannibals raised their stone spears, ready to pierce the young man's chest in the next moment.

"Tiger's Roar!"

The young man beside Shen Nong called out the other person's name anxiously, wanting them to run faster.

The blood sacrifice used too much blood, and Tiger Roar now has no strength to escape the cannibals' control.

No wonder the priests forbade them to fight; it turns out that blood sacrifices would leave them without strength.

They couldn't possibly defeat cannibals.

"Take the priest away quickly!"

In any case, the priest must not be involved.

The other cannibals had already caught up, leaving the people of the Wood Tribe no time to think. The few people surrounding Shen Nong kept muttering to themselves.

"We must protect the priests."

"We protect the priests."

Shen Nong: ...

Protect my ass! The other party was arrested because of her, so Shen Nong couldn't possibly leave with peace of mind.

Before the caveman could grab him by the arms and drag him away, he pulled out the gun from his pocket. "Get out of my way, don't block my way."

Primitive people's obedience to priests is innate; with just one sentence from Shen Nong, everyone subconsciously made way.

Before the stone spear could pierce Hu Xiao's chest, a loud bang suddenly rang out in the air, like a terrifying thunderclap.

"Bang!"

After the gunshot, the cannibal who had captured the man was writhing on the ground in pain, clutching his bleeding arm.

Shen Nong's gun-wielding skills have always been excellent, and the parts he hits are exactly where he intends to hit.

The loud noise intimidated the cannibals, who dared not take another step forward.

The sight of their companions' injuries and pain only fueled their fear.

Hu Xiao stared blankly at Shen Nong, his ears ringing incessantly, as if thunder was repeatedly exploding in his ears.

The priest saved him!

"Thor granted the High Priest divine power, and the High Priest punished the cannibals!"

Upon hearing this, the Wood Tribe, who were on the run, stopped running.

Standing still with his hands clasped in front of his chest, he looked up at the sky and murmured, "Thank you for the protection of the gods, thank you for the protection of the priests."

Shen Nong was speechless. He had already said he wasn't a priest.

If you encounter danger, run! What are you doing stopping? Do you think the enemy will just walk away?

Priest? When did the Wood Tribe have priests?

The cannibals looked at the strangely dressed person from the Wood Tribe.

The man held a divine weapon that could unleash lightning to strike people, which was even more terrifying than the divine weapon in the hands of the Salt Priest that could fly far and injure people.

They couldn't afford to mess with them, and after realizing the reality, the cannibals retreated one after another.

Seeing the gun in Shen Nong's hand, their eyes widened in terror, and they scattered and fled.

Some, fearing they would be too slow, even abandoned the prey they had already hunted.

Shen Nong watched the cannibals flee in disarray. The enemy... they really know how to walk away on their own...

"The priest helped us drive away the cannibals!"

The people of the Wood Tribe began to cheer, their dirty, blackened faces revealing rows of bright white teeth.

Shen Nong put the gun away, thinking to herself: It wasn't me who drove them away. The cannibals have legs, they ran away on their own.

Looking at those big white teeth, Shen Nong was also a little puzzled. What did these primitive people eat to have such white teeth?

"Priest, what should we do next?" The boy who had run to deliver the message earlier stared intently at Shen Nong, waiting for their priest's answer.

Shen Nong was stunned; he felt as if he had been entangled by a group of primitive people.

The stench of blood kept seeping into his nostrils, and the sticky feeling was even more irritating. He subconsciously said, "Then boil some water, I want to take a bath."

He was also a bit thirsty, so boiling some water would give him some to drink.

"What is boiling water?" The boy scratched his head, his eyes filled with great confusion.

"The water was put into a vessel and then heated with fire."

Shen Nong seemed to have thought of something, but he couldn't believe it and tentatively asked, "Do you have utensils and fire?"

Catgrass said somewhat dejectedly, "We don't have fire. Thor hasn't sent down divine fire recently."

But his disappointment didn't last long. Curiosity roused him, and he pressed Shen Nong for more questions: "Priest, what are vessels?"

Shen Nong pursed his lips. In just a few words, he knew that he had not only transmigrated to the primitive era, but also to an extremely backward one.

There were more than twenty people in front of him, all staring at him expectantly.

Even if you can bathe in the river, the water still needs to be boiled before you can drink it.

Since fire was needed on both sides, Shen Nong said, "I'll teach you how to start a fire."

A note from the author:

Tiger Roar: No wonder the priests didn't let them fight; it turns out that blood sacrifices leave people without strength.

Shen Nong: I didn't say that, don't make things up.

Chapter 2 at a Discount

The tree needs watering, and he needs water (to repair).

The moment the words "start a fire" were uttered, everyone in the Wood Tribe whose eyes lit up, exclaiming incredulously, "The High Priest is about to bestow upon our Wood Tribe the divine power of fire!"

Shen Nong looked bewildered at the excited, excitedly spreading the news among the primitive people. What divine power? It wasn't divine power, it was just how to make fire... Oh well, let them be.

He would leave after teaching them how to light a fire, as a way of repaying them for calling him priest with genuine affection.

Shen Nong was escorted back to the real Wood Tribe. On the way back, they passed through a giant forest that blocked out the sky, which was the Wood Tribe's natural barrier.

Shen Nong was very interested in this giant forest, as there was no record of such giant trees in either interstellar space or ancient books.

I want to study it.

As you walk along the stream in the forest, your view becomes increasingly expansive.

The entrance to the wooden village is surrounded by a wooden fence, and scattered throughout the village are a few shelters made of leaves and wood.

Previously, all the able-bodied young men in the Wood Tribe participated in the summoning priest ceremony, along with a dozen elderly people and seven or eight children.

There were more than a dozen catnip-sized cats that had gone to the woods to deliver the message before, and they all had the same expression when they saw Shen Nong.
