Chapter 257

Su Jinning breathed heavily for a few moments, then laughed: "I'm really happy..."

Shen Moyu opened her dazed eyes and looked at him, seemingly puzzled.

"I'm so happy to have been admitted to the same university as you." At that moment, the future that had once been severed began to shine again.

Shen Moyu is the ever-burning sun in his life.

"I love you." Between breaths, Shen Moyu's voice was soft and gentle, causing Su Jinning's heart to tremble slightly.

He chuckled and kissed Shen Moyu's lips: "You rarely say those three words to me. Are you in a good mood today?"

Shen Moyu shook his head and stroked his earlobe. "It's not because I'm in a good mood." He leaned against Su Jinning's chest: "I will always love you. I will tell you my feelings anytime you want to hear them."

The two people's soft laughter drifted in the wind, when suddenly a loud round of applause rang out behind them.

The party officially ended, and the final fireworks show officially began.

Shen Moyu looked up in surprise, grabbed his hand, and tried to rush back into the crowd: "Hurry, hurry, the fireworks show is about to start!"

Su Jinning smiled and couldn't help but sigh that Shen Moyu really had no resistance to anything romantic.

They stood a little to the outside of the crowd, where a grand fireworks display adorned the starry night sky, blending softly with the romantic moonlight to create beautiful sparks.

"I've wanted to watch fireworks with you for a long time, but I've never had the chance." Shen Moyu held his hand, as happy as a child.

Through his eyes, Su Jinning saw the most beautiful fireworks of her life, blooming in Shen Moyu's eyes. At this moment, all the scenery around him became mere background.

The memories of youth are blurred, but Su Jinning will always remember that year when flowers bloomed, red ink lightly staining the clouds, a gentle breeze playfully swaying the hem of Shen Moyu's clothes. He glanced at it, letting the wind stir his heart, the intense heat of midsummer burning his face.

The ups and downs of the past two years seem to have been all for this moment.

“Didn’t I say I was going to give you a return gift?” Su Jinning said, turning her head.

Shen Moyu was captivated by the fireworks and didn't quite hear: "What?"

Shen Moyu turned around and saw that Su Jinning was already kneeling on one knee in the dense crowd. In the hazy night, he took out the ring box he had prepared, opened it, and a shiny diamond ring was lying in the ring box.

"Holy crap!" The crowd erupted in cheers, becoming the focus of attention on the empty yet bustling playground.

“You…” Shen Moyu took half a step back, his whole body trembling with excessive tension and disbelief.

The fireworks show continued, and the shouts around us seemed to have been prepared in advance.

Su Jinning looked up, meeting his bewildered gaze, and flashed a dazzling smile in the crowd: "I will bind you in the name of love, placing this on your ring finger. From now on, you will belong only to my blooming season." He took out a ring, extending his hand to await his response: "My rose, will you?"

The uproar around them at that moment was a great blessing.

A cool breeze blew by, gently tickling Shen Moyu's pulse, causing a surge of intense desire to throb wildly.

"Together! Together!"

"Alas--"

Amidst the rising and falling applause, Shen Moyu's heart pounded wildly.

"How could I say no?" His eyes were red, and he trembled as he extended his ring finger. The cold ring slid across his knuckles, and the diamond's luster shone brightly in the moonlight.

Fireworks burst forth, creating dazzling streaks of light behind Su Jinning. He stood at the intersection of moonlight and fireworks, his back to the bustling crowd, the starlight in his eyes converging into the most beautiful galaxy Shen Moyu had ever seen in his life.

A smile spread across his face, and his voice suddenly rang out from the crowd: "Shen Moyu, I love you!!"

Shen Moyu vaguely remembered that Su Jinning's phone notes contained this sentence: "During that crazy and scorching flowering season, there was someone who became my summer exclusive."

He hugged the person in front of him tightly, and his voice, like the gentle summer breeze tonight, rang out from the crowd: "Let me be your exclusive companion through all four seasons, from this moment on."

They kissed under the burning gazes of the crowd. The love of youth is open, passionate, mad, and scalding.

The Milky Way shines brightly, the world is bustling with life, and summer will never be absent. When the roses bloom, the young man's love will also return laden with joy.

Author's Note:

"The Wind Blows, My Heart Flutters" officially ended today! I apologize for not writing the extra chapter first, haha, because I really ran out of ideas. However, there is a letter written by Ning Ge and Mo Bao for everyone, which will be put in the extra chapter tonight so you can take a look.

I will frequently share news about my next novel in the group and will continue to work hard.

What follows is a rambling monologue from a miserable author—

I'm so emotional. I've experienced so much and met so many people along the way. Today, this book is finally ending, which is a very important day for me. It feels like a child I've carefully nurtured has grown into an adult, haha. So, I have some things I want to say to you.

I think I started writing this book around July or August last year. I revised it many times but never finished it. I always thought I'd save up a draft before publishing it, but because of my studies, I didn't save up much before going back to school. Later, I spent half a year brainstorming, searching for inspiration, reading novels, studying, and doing a lot of homework. I really did everything. When I couldn't come up with any inspiration, I would lock myself in my room and only get some fresh air when I finished writing. Sometimes I was so frustrated that I couldn't write anything well, so I would just stare blankly for a whole morning (Pure Book Cup). I would sit on the sofa and write for four or five hours every day without looking up. In the end, I successfully developed cervical spondylosis and pseudomyopia (Shuan Q).

I know that my efforts are nothing compared to what many authors have done. They might spend all day writing, but it was still quite tough for me when I first started writing. I even thought about giving up, but when I looked down at the story I was only halfway through, saw the expectant eyes of my friends, and thought about those dreams that were so close yet so difficult, I felt that I shouldn't give up.

After all, dreams must be realized by oneself; if you only think about them, they will remain just dreams.

I'm actually really happy to be liked and followed by so many people. Many readers have even said that Jinmo has given him a lot of motivation. Seeing what you all say makes me feel that all my efforts and sacrifices have been worthwhile. To be honest, I'm not entirely satisfied with the work I've written, but I'm also quite proud. After all... a work that people like isn't necessarily bad, right?

Also, everyone keeps asking me why I don't sign a contract, haha. Actually, there's a bit of cowardice involved. I feel like signing in my current state is definitely not going to work, so I've just been too afraid. I've listened to a lot of friends' advice but still didn't want to take that step.

There are also many practical factors involved. After all, my writing skills, storytelling creativity, and life experience are not very high, so I think it's normal if I don't get a contract. Although sometimes I feel a little sad because I feel sorry that all my hard work hasn't resulted in a contract, and I also feel a little sorry for you all because you like me so much but I don't have any outstanding achievements.

So I often wonder, is it really possible for anyone to like someone as terrible as me? Is it really possible for anyone to like this novel?

But seeing the actions you've taken and the little essays you've written, I suddenly feel that you might understand Jinmo better than I do. You really love them. While I'm questioning myself, I'm also really, really happy.

But the biggest reason is my shortcomings. Of course, I can't give up signing a contract because of this. It's my dream to make more people like my book. It's an even bigger dream. I don't know if I can achieve them all in the future, but I think it's most important not to betray myself now. I'd also like to share these words with you. Nothing can stop a dream, only pessimism and despair.

So for my next book, I'm going to put in a lot of effort and dedicate myself to bringing you an even better work. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Also, now that it's over, I have mixed feelings. We've walked hand in hand to this point. It's not a long time, but it's not short either. It feels like we've taken a very long train journey. You guys are the best scenery I've seen along the way, and Jinmo is my biggest gain. This journey has been a bit of a blur, but it's also been very meaningful.

I'm not good with words, and what I say doesn't even amount to a fraction of what's in my heart. Besides thanking you, I don't seem to have any other nice things to say.

So thank you to everyone who read this novel carefully, and thank you to everyone who truly likes Jinmo and likes me. I owe my success today to your support.

I really, really want to walk with you to the end and let you witness my growth, my dark history, my highlights, my setbacks, and my peaks.

I had so much to say but didn't have time to say it. I thought about it for a long time, but I couldn't bring myself to say it.

So I wish everyone could be as passionate, safe, and healthy as Jinmo, and I also wish all candidates good luck in their exams and all the best.

On May 27, 2022, "The Wind Blows, My Heart Flutters" officially ended, but their story with us continues.
