Глава 9

Ji Zhaoming had never worn such childlike clothes before. He reached out and tugged at the ears and tail, and then, as if touching something, the clothes suddenly made a small squeak.

...That's the sound of a rabbit.

Who invented these pajamas? They're so imaginative!

Fearing he might press some strange button again, Ji Zhaoming hurriedly came out.

Approaching them was another rabbit. This time, however, it was a live rabbit, covered in long fur, resembling a sphere with two ears sticking out. Its eyes were bright red, and it hopped and skipped across the ground to Ji Zhaoming.

Its appearance was slightly different from the rabbits that Ji Zhaoming knew.

The two fake rabbits looked at each other.

The rabbit in front of them was quickly lifted by the scruff of its neck.

Ji Zhaoming also subconsciously reached for the back of his neck.

Gu Yunzhou asked, "Do you want to raise it?"

"Yes!" Ji Zhaoming answered quickly, immediately taking the rabbit, stroking its fur, and showing a satisfied expression on his face.

Sure enough, someone touched the back of Ji Zhaoming's neck. He felt a chill, hissed softly, and shrank his head.

As soon as the sound was made, the hand behind immediately turned up the temperature.

"It itches. Don't, don't lift me." Ji Zhaoming muttered softly, the image of the rabbit being lifted just now flashing through his mind.

"Hmm?" Gu Yunzhou's expression was indifferent as he explained, "It's wet."

Ji Zhaoming's hair was still wet and dripping because he couldn't find a hairdryer. He had just washed it.

Fortunately, the pajamas were made of some unknown material, and the water was completely absorbed by the fabric, so Ji Zhaoming didn't bother with it.

Holding the rabbit in one arm and fiddling with his hair in the other, Ji Zhaoming smiled and said, "It's alright, it'll be dry in a bit."

From this angle, Gu Yunzhou could clearly see the small, delicate ears hidden beneath the jet-black hair. He said, "You'll catch a cold."

Gu Yunzhou hated all weak creatures that couldn't protect themselves and were unable to survive in the world. For these creatures, living itself was a dangerous thing.

Even if an exorbitant price were offered to place such a creature beside Gu Yunzhou, he would not agree.

Because it's too much trouble.

But their king happens to be just that kind of creature.

Gu Yunzhou pondered that it was time to rewrite the troublesome definitions in the code.

"Wait a moment." Gu Yunzhou walked towards the restroom.

Stubborn on the outside but soft on the inside.

Ji Zhaoming gave the robot leader this definition, and he immediately laughed, stroking the little rabbit in his arms and lifting it up again: "Hello?"

This rabbit wasn't a sentient demon; it was just an ordinary rabbit, staring wide-eyed at Ji Zhaoming.

Ji Zhaoming said, "I am Ji Zhaoming. Hmm, from now on I should be your zookeeper? Your master."

"Master?" Gu Yunzhou, holding a hairdryer, blinked slowly. "Master."

This is so embarrassing! It feels like we're playing some weird game!

Ji Zhaoming shook his head repeatedly: "No, no, no, don't call me master."

"Why?" Gu Yunzhou thought for a moment, then solemnly added, "Master."

Ji Zhaoming: ...

Her face immediately turned bright red.

Chapter 7

Welcome to this world

With his back to Ji Zhaoming, a faint smile finally appeared in Gu Yunzhou's usually calm eyes.

He pressed the button on the hair dryer, and a strong gust of wind whipped up the fur on Ji Zhaoming and the rabbit.

Because he was helping to blow-dry Ji Zhaoming's hair, Gu Yunzhou's fingers kept running through Ji Zhaoming's hair, causing Ji Zhaoming to straighten up slightly.

He had barely managed to suppress his embarrassment when the wind stopped, and he heard Gu Yunzhou say calmly, "Alright, Master."

Ji Zhaoming suspected that Gu Yunzhou did it on purpose, but he had no evidence.

On another note, when the system explained the word "victory" in his mind earlier, it was using the dictionary definition. Perhaps in Gu Yunzhou's understanding, the master's meaning was very simple.

But he was too embarrassed to ask that question aloud. What if Gu Yunzhou asked him what else his master meant? Wouldn't that expose him?

"Master," Gu Yunzhou said, putting away the hairdryer, "your face is so red."

Ji Zhaoming: !!!

Ji Zhaoming replied haphazardly, "I know."

What on earth is he saying?

Ji Zhaoming's face turned completely red. His thick, long eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings, his gaze wandered around, and he tightened his grip on the rabbit. The rabbit in his arms made an uncomfortable grumbling sound.

It was the same sound he made when he pinched his tail earlier.

This left Ji Zhaoming at a loss. The rabbit was about to squeak again when it looked up and met Gu Yunzhou's gaze. Although it had not yet developed intelligence, it pitifully withdrew the sound it was about to make, relying on its animal instincts for danger. Only its perked-up ears indicated that it was still in a state of alertness.

Ji Zhaoming gently placed the rabbit back on the ground. The rabbit didn't leave but instead lay down comfortably at Ji Zhaoming's feet.

Seeing this, Ji Zhaoming lowered his head and smiled faintly.

Gu Yunzhou stared intently at his king. He loved to see his king smile, his eyes slightly downturned, half of his bright eyes hidden, his eyes curved into the shape of a crescent moon, concealing a brilliant sea of stars. His king deserved the best things in the world.

He suddenly remembered that his subordinates had collected many things and put them in the warehouse, waiting for their king to wake up one day. Gu Yunzhou thought these things took up too much space, so he put them in the most remote corner. With his subordinates looking on expectantly, he would occasionally throw some things in there.

Hidden within is a galaxy.

"Master," Gu Yunzhou said, "may I come with you?"

Ji Zhaoming persisted, saying, "Don't call me master anymore."

This nickname is so awkward, it's embarrassing every time I hear it. Ji Zhaoming could even immediately think of a three-bedroom apartment that's ready to move in.

Gu Yunzhou hummed in agreement, but it was unclear whether he agreed or not.

This planet is controlled by robots, so they spare no expense when building houses. Although the place where Ji Zhaoming is standing is called a house, it is actually no different from a palace.

To make it easier for their king to move around the palace, the robots urgently created a... wheelchair for him.

When Gu He, who had regained his height, pushed the wheelchair in, Ji Zhaoming was momentarily confused: "What is this?"

In the interstellar age, rabbits are no longer rabbits, grapes are no longer grapes, and wheelchairs shouldn't be wheelchairs anymore, right?

Gu He exclaimed excitedly, "It's a wheelchair!"

Ji Zhaoming looked at his legs.

It's certainly not as impressive as a robot, but it's not to the point where it needs a wheelchair.

With obvious shock on his face, Gu He hesitated and said, "Your Majesty, is there a problem? I read in the book that it's a very popular mode of transportation."

Hmm...

That's true, Ji Zhaoming thought. If he had arrived in a sedan, his face would probably have shown even more surprise. He swallowed the words he wanted to say and said, "No, but I'm not tired right now."

Gu He gave a dejected "Oh," and said, "Does the King not like this look?"

He placed his hand on the wheelchair, and the metal wheelchair instantly deformed with a few clicks. Without looking up, Gu He asked, "What kind does the King like? Make one for the King!"

Ji Zhaoming: "...No need, it's fine as it is."

He felt his legs were a little weak.

*

Following Gu Yunzhou toward the warehouse, Ji Zhaoming realized halfway there why he needed a means of transportation; the area was much, much larger than he had imagined.

As the daylight faded and night fell, the place became increasingly remote, with not a single light installed. By the dim light, Ji Zhaoming tugged at Gu Yunzhou's sleeve.

Gu Yunzhou paused almost imperceptibly, slowed his pace, and said, "Sorry."

Ji Zhaoming smiled and said, "It's my problem."

Even though the robots have acquired their king and believe that one day their king will awaken, they all know that this is just an unattainable dream, a seed buried in their hearts that will never sprout.

They didn't understand the seeds enough. Even though they built a huge palace, hid many gifts for the king, and had many things to say to him, they still didn't understand the extent of the king's weakness.

—This is not meant to belittle the king. They are just cubs, so it's normal for them to be weak. Besides, no one dares to say that humans are weak, otherwise how could they have been created?

Strength and weakness are never physical.

Gu Yunzhou said in a low voice, "It was because I didn't notice."

He took out a lamp from his sleeve and lit up the road ahead. The shadows of the two people were almost touching. Beside them was a wheelchair and the shadow of Gu He, which seemed out of place.

Gu He felt wronged: He wanted to get closer too! But as soon as he took a small step toward the king, the leader glanced at him.

He had no choice but to say, "Your Majesty, please sit here! Then you won't be able to see the road!"

Unable to refuse Gu Yunzhou's hospitality, Ji Zhaoming released Gu Yunzhou's sleeve and sat down in the wheelchair.

Putting aside his inner conflict, Ji Zhaoming had to admit that not having to walk was quite comfortable.

Upon arriving at the warehouse, the door opened, revealing a bright and clean space filled with all sorts of strange and unusual items.

After Ji Zhaoming entered the house, Gu Yunzhou closed the door and walked to the center of the room.

He put them all inside.

Having served as a tool, Gu He was ruthlessly thrown outside.

Gu Yunzhou had no expectations for Wang to wake up. He even thought that he would remove all these things after Wang woke up.

And now, he has come to this place in person, bringing his king with him.

At the center of a pile of radiant treasures was a small, hazy sphere. Gu Yunzhou took out a pin, ran his hand across the two objects, and instantly it transformed into the shape of a brooch, changing the color of the sphere.

Gu Yunzhou pinned the brooch to Ji Zhaoming's pajamas.

The sphere is pale blue, with stars flowing slowly inside. The stars do not shine brightly, but when they are connected, they form a galaxy.
