Глава 11

Gu Yunzhou's ears were incredibly sharp; he immediately caught the restless breathing and whispered, "Go to sleep."

Perhaps because he had just arrived in this world and was exhausted from a day's work, Ji Zhaoming soon drifted off into sleep.

So he didn't see it. Gu Yunzhou's ear lingered in mid-air on his face for a long time before finally sliding down to Ji Zhaoming's wrist, which was resting on the blanket.

There was a red bracelet tied there.

Gu Yunzhou stared at the red bracelet in a daze, a puzzled expression on his face. Just as he was about to touch it, he suddenly stopped and withdrew his hand.

With his brows furrowed, Gu Yunzhou glanced at his king again and whispered, "Ji... Ji Zhaoming."

Just hearing those three words melted his heart.

Is it a bug?

Gu Yunzhou left in a hurry.

*

The next day, before Ji Zhaoming had even woken up from his dream, he felt something wriggling around in the bed. The furry touch then came to his ear, and Ji Zhaoming yawned, getting a mouthful of fur.

With his head tilted back slightly, Ji Zhaoming muttered, "Stop fooling around."

However, to everyone's surprise, the mischievous little thing crawled out of the blanket and stepped on Ji Zhaoming. Although it wasn't heavy, it still startled Ji Zhaoming.

The blanket was drafty, so Ji Zhaoming shrank deeper under it, but finally woke up with a shiver.

I opened my eyes and saw a round, big eye, red and erect, standing right in front of me, with two ears standing up high.

It was his little rabbit.

Ji Zhaoming sighed, woke up, and hugged the little rabbit to his arms: "So energetic so early in the morning?"

The little rabbit stomped on the blanket twice, demonstrating its boundless energy.

Ji Zhaoming picked up the rabbit, brushed his teeth and washed his face, then opened the door.

It was quiet outside, and there was no one around. Ji Zhaoming wasn't familiar with the area, so after thinking for a moment, he closed the door again and teased the little rabbit's ears: "When did you get here?"

The little rabbit kept rubbing its head against Ji Zhaoming's palm.

Ji Zhaoming chuckled, twitching the rabbit's ears: "Hungry? Don't you even know where the restaurant is..."

The rabbit suddenly perked up its ears and looked outside warily.

Footsteps came from outside the door, and Ji Zhaoming recognized the sound.

Strangely enough, the footsteps of all the robots sounded pretty much the same, but Gu Yunzhou's footsteps were the only ones that he could distinguish immediately.

He moved unhurriedly, each step firm and solid, only taking the next step after the first one had completely touched the ground. His gait was steady, and each stride was exactly the same size.

Sure enough, the door opened quickly, and there stood Gu Yunzhou. He frowned slightly when he came in, but his expression immediately relaxed when he saw Ji Zhaoming. "I'm late."

Ji Zhaoming shook his head repeatedly, then smiled and said, "I just woke up."

Gu Yunzhou bent down, picked up the rabbit by the scruff of its neck, and said calmly, "Today, I'll show the owner the room and the way."

His words usually carry the weight of commands, leaving no room for argument.

But now standing before him was his king.

Gu Yunzhou added, "Is that alright?"

"Okay." The transition was too abrupt, so Ji Zhaoming suppressed a smile and nodded in reply, "I'll do whatever you say."

Suddenly realizing that he hadn't called out Gu Yunzhou's name many times since he came into this world, Ji Zhaoming's bright eyes narrowed, and his voice was sweet and crisp: "I will listen to Gu Yunzhou."

Gu Yunzhou's hand froze instantly.

With a tremor of his eyelashes, the invincible leader had a weakness at this moment, and even his movements to catch a rabbit slowed down.

This gave the little rabbit an opportunity. It had already been picked up by Gu Yunzhou countless times and was now on guard. Taking advantage of this opportunity, it suddenly jumped up, dodged Gu Yunzhou's hand, and tried to crawl into Ji Zhaoming's arms.

Gu Yunzhou reacted quickly, his wrist twisting rapidly as he reached for the rabbit again with lightning speed. The little rabbit opened its mouth wide, stubbornly biting Gu Yunzhou's fingertip.

Click.

No matter how human-like Gu Yunzhou looks, it doesn't change the fact that he's made of special materials. One bite and the little rabbit felt like its teeth were about to break.

However, Ji Zhaoming had no idea about these things. Even a rabbit will bite when cornered. He quickly picked up the rabbit and put it aside, asking, "Are you alright?"

The area where I was bitten seems to be a little red.

Instead of answering, Gu Yunzhou asked, "How come it's in the master's room?"

Ji Zhaoming exclaimed, "Oh! I saw it on my bed when I woke up today. Anyway, are you alright?"

Gu Yunzhou glanced at the little rabbit with an ambiguous expression.

Immediately afterwards, the skin on my fingers, which were only slightly red, slowly broke open, and a drop of blood dripped from between my fingers onto the ground.

Gu Yunzhou wiped the blood off his hands and slowly, pretending to be strong, said, "It's nothing, just a few scrapes."

Little Rabbit: ? ? ?

She's the victim here!! She's almost lost all her teeth!!

Chapter 9

<Good boy/girl>

The little rabbit, of course, refused to admit defeat. It bared its teeth and glared at Gu Yunzhou, utterly bewildered as to how someone so grown up could still lie. It raised its front paws, wanting to take another bite of Gu Yunzhou before giving up.

The rabbit's ears were quickly grabbed. Ji Zhaoming patted the rabbit's ears hard and said to Gu Yunzhou with concern, "Wait for me."

He then carried the rabbit outside, and just as he stepped out, he ran into Gu He. Ji Zhaoming grabbed Gu He, his face full of worry: "Do you know where there is a first-aid kit?"

Gu He was also shocked: "The King is injured? Where?"

He held Ji Zhaoming's fair hand and looked through it several times, but still couldn't find it.

Ji Zhaoming shook his head: "No, it's Gu Yunzhou, your leader, who is injured."

Gu He: ?

A look of suspicion crossed his face. Their leader could also be injured?

Gu He felt a little guilty. Could it be that such a fierce war had broken out in a place he was unaware of? It was also because they had been living too comfortably and their vigilance had decreased.

They hadn't even noticed until their king revealed it.

Gu He immediately shielded Ji Zhaoming behind him: "Your Majesty, are you alright? I'll protect you!"

Ji Zhaoming exclaimed, "It's alright, but Gu Yunzhou's finger was bitten. Where can I get some wound medicine? Should we give him some medication?"

Hmm? Bit it open?

This sounds different from what Gu He thought. If it was such a dangerous war, would it only result in a scratch on the fingertip? Or was it from being bitten?

Who can get close to the leader?

Thinking of this, Gu He's gaze lingered on Ji Zhaoming's crimson lips for a moment. Their king was very anxious, and when he spoke, one could vaguely see two rows of clean, even teeth and a tongue that was faintly visible in the middle.

The idea was so absurd that Gu He immediately dismissed it and casually asked, "Bite? What bit you?"

Ji Zhaoming angrily stroked the rabbit's head in his arms, saying with a hint of disappointment, "Where is its burrow? Put it back in its burrow first, so it won't bite anyone again."

For some reason, the rabbit seemed particularly fierce when it saw Gu Yunzhou. Ji Zhaoming sighed deeply and bumped into the back of the person in front of him with a thud.

The iron-like back made Ji Zhaoming's forehead flush red. Ji Zhaoming covered his head and asked, "What's wrong?"

Gu He felt conflicted and didn't know how to describe the feelings in his heart.

If we could go back thousands of years, there are three words that perfectly summarize Gu Yunzhou's actions: green tea bitch.

Seeing the redness and swelling on Wang's forehead, Gu He quickly pulled him to the infirmary and insisted on treating Ji Zhaoming's forehead first before taking out some ointment.

Ji Zhaoming placed the rabbit in Gu He's hands: "Could you please take care of it for me?"

Upon learning that Gu Yunzhou's hands were still bleeding, he quickened his pace and disappeared in a flash.

Ji Zhaoming's footsteps were different from Gu Yunzhou's. He walked with light steps, which, to Gu Yunzhou's ears, were almost negligible, just like the weight of a king.

Hearing footsteps, the blood flow from the wound on his hand quickened. He stood up straight, maintaining his original posture without moving.

As soon as Ji Zhaoming entered the room, he saw Gu Yunzhou looking so pitiful.

His head was lowered, his tall body curled up in a ball, his long eyelashes blinked incessantly from the pain, and his pupils were dark and clear. From Ji Zhaoming's angle, one could even see a hint of tears. His eyelids half-covered his pupils as he stared at the blood on his fingertips.

He showed no expression, but Ji Zhaoming's heart melted.

As he got closer, Ji Zhaoming realized that the tearful look was an illusion, actually a shadow cast by the sunlight. However, the pitiful appearance was an indelible image.

Softly pausing so as not to disturb Gu Yunzhou, Ji Zhaoming lowered his voice, which was soft and sweet, like a piece of freshly baked malt candy, "Give me your hand, I'll apply the medicine for you."

As soon as the first word was uttered, Gu Yunzhou immediately raised his head and looked at Ji Zhaoming.

It's like a lurking beast.

Gu Yunzhou frowned, extended his hand in front of Ji Zhaoming, and said, "It's not a serious injury."

In Ji Zhaoming's mind, Gu Yunzhou was the leader of the robots, a powerful ruler, and the embodiment of the "strongest" without any weaknesses. He never thought that such a person was also extremely vulnerable to injury.

Ji Zhaoming raised his eyebrows, his small face showing anger: "We can't ignore it just because the wound is small. What if it gets tetanus?"

Gu Yunzhou grunted in response.

The ointment was squeezed out, and perhaps because it was for robots, it had a strange machine oil smell. It wasn't unpleasant, but it certainly wasn't pleasant either. Ji Zhaoming applied the ointment to Gu Yunzhou's wound without changing his expression, and after applying it, he asked, "Don't you need a band-aid?"

Gu Yunzhou shook his head.

Even if the robot were torn in two, this wound would be more than enough, not to mention that Gu Yunzhou deliberately created this wound.

A thick layer of ointment was applied, and Ji Zhaoming, unaware of how the ointment was absorbed, could only stare blankly.

Suddenly, he felt someone lean on his shoulder.

Gu Yunzhou leaned forward and rested silently on Ji Zhaoming's shoulder. They were so close that Ji Zhaoming could hear Gu Yunzhou's soft breathing.

Ji Zhaoming raised his hand and placed it on Gu Yunzhou's back. After a while, he patted Gu Yunzhou's back and said comfortingly, "It doesn't hurt anymore."

Gu Yunzhou's voice was muffled: "Master."

Upon hearing this voice, Ji Zhaoming's hand, which was on Gu Yunzhou's back, trembled.
