Anti-Bone Scarlet Song - Chapitre 32
Chu Xia felt little pride. The young master's eyes were so bright and sharp; it seemed there was no fog he couldn't see through or a problem he couldn't solve. She pondered for a while, then suddenly asked, "In your life, have you ever failed?"
The young master paused, his smile now tinged with a hint of nonchalance: "For example?"
"For example, someone might deceive you, but you don't realize it; or you might lose a martial arts contest."
The young master thought about it seriously for a moment, then pursed his lips and said, "Yes."
"What?" A glint of light flashed in Chu Xia's eyes, clearly showing some excitement.
“Before I was sixteen, I practiced swordsmanship and lost to my father every time.” He curled his lips. “As for being deceived… sometimes when I was traveling the world, I would encounter old people and children disguised as beggars. After I gave them money, I would find that they were eating and drinking at the same inn as me, and sometimes the dishes they ordered were even better than mine.”
Seeing his rare childlike frustration, Chu Xia smiled and said, "These don't count."
The young master frowned slightly: "How would you determine that?"
Chu Xia rested her chin on her hand and looked at him, but did not speak immediately.
“A long time ago, my father told me that walking the martial world is like licking blood off a knife’s edge. I find it hard to open my heart and trust anyone.” The young master continued to play with her hair as he slowly said, “Before I met you, I really couldn’t imagine that I could one day eat and live with a stranger like this—even if it’s Qinglong, whom I personally brought back to the Jun Mansion and personally taught and raised—even he wouldn’t be able to do it.”
In early summer, her dimples were faintly visible, but deep down, her heart was warmed by his indifferent words.
"Being deceived or losing a fight are not terrible. I just hope that the people I care about will not lie to me, and that is enough."
In early summer, her crystal-clear eyes met his gaze, and her smile softened. She reached out and grasped his palm, as if in promise, and whispered, "I won't."
The young master leaned down slightly, stroked her long hair, and smiled, "Silly child, I wasn't talking about you."
Instead of shyly avoiding him as usual, she wrapped her arms around his waist and stubbornly repeated, "I won't."
The young master was slightly taken aback and was about to speak when he suddenly heard someone gently knocking on the door from outside.
Chu Xia immediately seemed a little nervous. The young master gently pressed her shoulder, signaling her to calm down. He got up and opened the door, only to see a burly man with a full beard, who said in a rough voice, "I'm looking for someone."
Chu Xia chuckled: "Who do we have here? Little Azure Dragon, you're back?"
The burly man's eyes immediately lit up, and he chuckled, "You recognized me?"
He bowed to the young master, and the door to the guest room was pushed open again. This time, however, a middle-aged woman dressed in ordinary clothes entered. Without even looking, it was clear that it was Bai Xue.
Chu Xia frowned slightly, disregarding everything else, and stepped forward to quietly tug at her sleeve.
Bai Xue was about to speak to the young master, but because of this pull, she turned her head to look at Chu Xia. After her disguise, her expression was unreadable, but her tone was slightly teasing: "What's wrong with you? You look so anxious."
Chu Xia unconsciously swallowed and whispered in Bai Xue's ear, "Take my pulse for me."
The three people inside the room were all highly skilled in martial arts and possessed excellent internal strength, so they could naturally hear her words clearly.
The young master frowned, wanting to say something, but seeing that Chu Xia's face was pale, he said to Bai Xue, "Why don't you take a look at her?"
"Are you sick?" Bai Xue casually touched him and said, "You look fine."
"No..." Chu Xia pursed her lips somewhat awkwardly.
"Your qi and blood are slightly deficient; perhaps you're too tired from walking," Bai Xue said, releasing her wrist with a relaxed tone.
"That's all?"
What else do you want?
"I...can't have a baby?" Chu Xia frowned and whispered in Bai Xue's ear.
Upon hearing this, the other three people in the room froze.
Bai Xue and Qinglong subconsciously looked at the young master, and surprisingly, they noticed that his cheeks were slightly flushed, as if he was truly at a loss for what to do at this moment.
Bai Xue, having seen her share of grand occasions, withdrew her gaze and calmly remarked, half-praising, "Young Master is indeed a man who does not adhere to etiquette."
The young master turned his gaze away somewhat embarrassedly, then saw Chu Xia's bewildered expression. He touched his forehead with his slender fingers, unable to help but smile bitterly, yet he couldn't help but wonder how he would feel if Bai Xue really diagnosed that the little girl was pregnant.
Chapter Thirty-One (Part 1)
"Early Summer, you and Qinglong go out first. I have something to say to Baixue." The young master quickly regained his composure and gave the order calmly.
After the two left, Bai Xue finally couldn't hold back anymore and burst into laughter, asking, "Young master, what did you say to her? That little girl is clearly a virgin, how could she think she's pregnant?"
The young master reached out and pressed lightly on his brow, a faint smile playing on his lips. After a long while, he finally asked, "Have you seen your master?"
Bai Xue was quite dissatisfied with the young master's evasive attitude. She pouted and said somewhat unwillingly, "I saw him."
The smile on the young master's lips slowly faded, and he said in a deep voice, "What did he say?"
"He's saying the same thing again: there's nothing suspicious about the old master's death; it was a relapse of his heart condition," Bai Xue said solemnly. "There's just one thing..."
The young master unconsciously narrowed his eyes slightly.
“There are many reasons for the relapse of heart disease. My master was not sure why the old master passed away. But a few days ago, a patient with a strange condition was admitted to the valley. My master pondered it for a few days and found some clues.”
The young master's fingertips tapped lightly on the table, sometimes fast, sometimes slow. The room was quiet, with only the suppressed and gentle breathing of the two of them.
"When the old master passed away, the Yin Qiao and Yin Wei meridians of the Eight Extraordinary Meridians were stronger than the Yang meridians. Heart disease can easily cause an imbalance of Qi and blood in a martial artist, so the master did not think much of it at the time. Just a few days ago, a seriously injured woman was taken in in the valley. She also had these two Yin meridians far stronger than her Yang meridians. Upon closer examination, it was discovered that she was practicing a very strange mental cultivation method that only strengthened the Yin meridians. The master said, 'The old master... perhaps he practiced such a mental cultivation method in his early years. His chronic illness has now manifested as heart disease.'"
The young master slowly stood up and paced around the table a few times, seemingly talking to himself: "The most important mental cultivation method of my Jun family is to be peaceful and upright, with yin and yang in perfect balance... How could my father practice such a mental cultivation method?"
Bai Xue didn't dare to interrupt and just stood aside.
"Where is the woman?" A glint flashed in the young master's narrow eyes. "Is she still in the valley?"
Bai Xue said with a sigh, "Her injuries were too severe, and she has passed away. I have already sent word to Xuanwu about which sect or faction that person belonged to, and we should receive news in the next few days."
The young master nodded, then suddenly said, "What are you doing peeking around outside? Come in if you need anything."
Bai Xue smiled, sensing a hint of indulgence in his tone. Sure enough, Chu Xia peeked her small head through the crack in the door: "I need to talk to Bai Xue." Her clear black and white eyes stared at Bai Xue, as if hoping she would come out to talk. The young master said somewhat displeasedly, "What important thing do you have to say? Just say it here."
"Um... the manager downstairs said they don't have enough rooms. Bai Xue, can I squeeze in with you?"
The young master sat down on the edge of the couch and glanced at Bai Xue indifferently.
Bai Xue covered her mouth with laughter this time, coughed a few times, and then said, "Chu Xia, you're about to have a baby with the young master, aren't you still shy?"
Chu Xia blushed, scoffed, and said matter-of-factly, "I asked Qinglong, and I didn't have a child with him."
The young master narrowed his eyes.
Bai Xue sensed a hint of danger. This was a dangerous place, and she dared not linger. So she pulled Chu Xia inside and chuckled softly, "Silly girl, Qinglong and I have important business to attend to. We won't be staying tonight."
Chu Xia was pulled in by her, and the door slammed shut behind her.
The young master remained reclining on the couch and said softly, "Come here."
There were only two people left in the room. The summer night seemed unusually hot and humid. Chu Xia felt as if she had just taken a shower, yet she was still sticky and sweaty. She felt inexplicably irritable and didn't dare to look at the young master, instead taking two steps back.
The young master looked at her with a half-smile for a long time, and Chu Xia couldn't even see how he stood up. It seemed like only a blink of an eye, and he was already close to her. He deliberately lifted her chin with a wicked look and asked in a pleasant, deep voice, "Did Qinglong tell you how to have a baby?"
“He said…” Chu Xia became a little flustered, “He said that having a baby is very complicated. Sleeping together… sleeping in the same bed will prevent pregnancy.”
As Chu Xia finished speaking, she tilted her head slightly and saw the young master's lips curl into a slight smile. His usually deep black eyes now held an irresistible heat. She instinctively wanted to back away, but two hands grabbed her waist, preventing her from retreating.
The young master ran his hands through her long hair, his palms burning hot, and pressed them against her ear. He looked at her intently, a smile on his face, and whispered, "If he doesn't explain it clearly... I'll teach you, okay?"
"No... okay." Chu Xia felt that she was slurring her words. His aura was so strong that it instinctively made her feel afraid.
The young master smiled gently, picked her up without saying a word, and carried her straight to the bed.
Because it was the height of summer, there was no mattress on the bed, and the bamboo mat was slightly cool. When the young master laid her down, he very considerately supported the back of her neck. He removed the silver hairpin from her hair, and her long black hair spread out on the cool porcelain pillow. His slender fingers gently stroked her earlobe and took off the pearl earring.
She was a truly pure and radiant young woman, without any makeup, her only adornments discarded to the side. The young master brushed aside her long hair, his thumb gently stroking her delicate eyebrows, and slowly leaned down, pressing his lips against hers in an irresistible manner.
It is a sweet, fragrant aroma that has never been touched by human hands.
He gently cupped her cheek with one hand, preventing her from looking away, while he slightly raised his head. As soon as he left, Chu Xia parted her lips slightly, and the stuffy air immediately dissipated.
The young master leaned down to look at her, his dark eyes bright yet seemingly tinged with a hint of mist. His hand rested lightly on the knot of Chu Xia's dress at her waist as he whispered, "Chu Xia, if I lose control... what do you suggest we do?"
"Can't control... what?" Chu Xia stared blankly back at his handsome eyes. The original ambiguity seemed to be gradually transforming into some kind of aura that she didn't understand, making her feel tempted and blushing.
"I couldn't control myself..." The young master chuckled softly, his fingertips flicking slightly, causing his belt to loosen. He placed his hand on her slender waist, and before kissing her deeply, he murmured, "I couldn't control myself... doing this to you."
His tongue seemed to have captured all her breath, while his hand on her waist slowly moved upwards, touching her lower abdomen and the slightly protruding ribs. An inch further up, perhaps, was the softest part of the woman's body.
The young master suddenly stopped, ran his fingertips across her trembling eyes, adjusted his breathing, and said in a low voice, "Would you... be willing to give yourself to me?"
Chapter Thirty-One (Part Two)
Chu Xia's gaze fell on the young master's slightly open collar. Moved by this moment, his eyes seemed to be misty, with only a faint trace of clarity remaining.
He aroused in her body a feeling she had never experienced before, a strange pleasure that also felt dangerous. For a moment, she really wanted to try... what it was.
The young master did not urge her, but simply gazed intently, taking in every expression she made.
Perhaps there was confusion, fear, hesitation, longing... After calming his breathing for a long time, the young master leaned down and kissed her lips lightly, like a dragonfly skimming the water: "I was asking too much of you."
She could see the fleeting disappointment in his eyes, so she instinctively wrapped her arms around his waist, pulled him down a little, pressed her cheek against his shoulder, and whispered, "Jun Ye'an, will you ever leave me one day?"
In the candlelight, a bright red cinnabar dot appeared on Chu Xia's right arm, while her eyebrows and eyes were exquisitely beautiful. She slightly bit her lip, looking utterly charming.
"I won't," he answered in a deep, resolute voice. The kiss lingered on her cheek, his burning lips almost engulfing her earlobe. His breath was hot, and Chu Xia's mind went blank. Her body went limp, and at that moment, she was powerless to resist whatever he did.
In the midst of their confusion and passion, the young master's voice came as soft as a mosquito's buzz: "Don't move. There's someone on the roof."
As if thrown into cold water, Chu Xia suddenly woke up. She pricked up her ears and listened carefully. At first, she hadn't noticed anything, but gradually she heard the sound of tiles breaking, as if someone was fighting silently.
After a long while, a faint meow came from the roof again. The young master gently waved his right hand to extinguish the candlelight, then put his arm around Chuxia and rolled her to the inside of the bed, pinning her firmly beneath him.
With a series of hissing sounds, Chu Xia couldn't help but look back at where she had been lying. A row of silver needles, each as long as an index finger, gleamed with a ghastly green light, clearly coated with deadly poison.
The young master reached out and gently covered her eyes, whispering, "Don't be afraid, it's alright now."
Chu Xia's hands, which were already wrapped around the young master, had dug their nails into his taut muscles from nervousness. She trembled beneath him, clinging to him even tighter: "Who...who is it?"
In the darkness, the young master let her hold him, having already suppressed his earlier distraction, and whispered, "Don't be afraid, they're gone. If they miss their first strike, they won't have another chance."
Looking back now, I feel a little scared... Just now, if it weren't for the last bit of reason that kept him in check and waiting for Chu Xia's answer, I'm afraid I would have been careless.
Chu Xia calmed down a bit, and her previously numb limbs and body gradually regained feeling. She felt something pressing against her lower abdomen…was it the young master's knee? Chu Xia couldn't help but bend down to take a look, and…his knee was clearly kneeling beside her…
Before she could figure it out, there was a knocking sound at the door. The young master sat up, casually pulled the thin blanket from the bed to cover her, and said softly, "I'll go check on her."
The candles were lit inside, and Chu Xia called out to him, "You... put on some clothes."
The young master paused, put on his outer robe, and then opened the door.
