Swallows slant overhead, willow catkins flutter in the air; the charm of late spring is exceptionally captivating.

The two brothers now rest in eternal peace in the beautiful Nanshan Formation, in that small bamboo grove. And when they passed away, the bamboo had already sprouted many tender green new leaves.

Everything started anew.

In the fields, countless figures were busy at work, each face beaming with joy, and acquaintances would greet them warmly from time to time. Occasionally, the call of a cuckoo would drift from outside the mountains, urging people to continue their diligent work.

The clatter of hooves was soft and leisurely as an inconspicuous carriage slowly made its way along the path.

The person driving the carriage was actually a young man in white.

.

The bright white color was just like the spring sunshine before him, bright and flamboyant. His long eyes always revealed a joyful smile. He leaned casually against the car door, holding a whip in his hand, but never swung it.

There was also a man in black sitting next to him.

His nose was straight, but the tip was slightly upturned, giving his handsome face a touch of coldness. His posture was clearly much better than that of the young man in white; he sat upright.

He is currently speaking to the young man in white.

"Shuiyu?"

"What kind of glasses are they? They're a gift for the old man."

"That's good, then your old man won't find it boring anymore."

"I'm just afraid he's too interesting." Headache.

"Do you still have the prescription that Lao Qiu gave you?"

.

Li You glared: "You want to use it?"

Seeing his expression, a look of amusement appeared on his indifferent face: "He cares about you a lot, probably because he sees that you are too popular with women and is afraid that he will have trouble in the future, so he specially left you a prescription to treat kidney deficiency."

Li You was both amused and exasperated: "It seems you're quite envious. How about I give it to you?"

"Since it's for you, how could I possibly take it from you?"

After a long pause.

He Bi sighed: "I just didn't expect that at that time, he would still joke with you, leave such a congratulatory gift, and even have her hand it to you personally. It's really quite ingenious."

Li You said irritably, "I didn't expect that either."

The horses' hooves clattered, and the wheels creaked.

A look of sadness rose in his long, narrow eyes. He gazed ahead and sighed softly, "I wish he could come back more often now and joke with me."

“It’s all in the past,” He Bi patted his shoulder and said slowly, “He is still our friend.”

silence.

His long eyelashes fluttered, and looking at the hand on his shoulder, he smiled: "Yes."

If a person lives in guilt and sorrow forever, he might as well die. What's the point of living?

.

"I don't need his kindness, you can take it if you want."

He Bi turned to look at the car door behind her: "So you don't dare to go anymore. I'm just wondering, aren't you usually good at dealing with women? Why are you suddenly afraid of her?"

He remained silent.

"You can't beat her?"

Staring wide-eyed.

"I know you can't fight with women, but wasn't your lightness skill supposed to be for escaping?" He Bi looked him up and down as if she were seeing him for the first time. "You can't even outrun her?"

Li You finally sighed: "Even a lazy pig can run faster than her."

"Then why are you afraid of her?"

A moment of silence.

Li You smiled wryly: "To be honest, I've thought about this for a long time, but I still don't understand it."

.

"I received a letter yesterday saying that some strange things have happened at the Yuwen family in Jiangnan, next month..."

Li You quickly interrupted him: "You don't need to say anything, I don't care."

He Bi was in no hurry: "It's not too late to let me finish speaking."

Li You shook his head: "When have you ever finished talking? If you don't finish, I'll definitely be curious, and if I'm curious, I'll have to investigate for you. Can't you let me have a few more months of free time?"

“Alright,” He Bi nodded without pressuring, then suddenly raised his voice, “I’ve heard about Qin Rushui of Rushui Pavilion…”

Li You quickly waved his hand: "Stop!"

He Bi indeed stopped.

Li You looked at him with a headache: "It's been so long. Actually, when it comes to her, nobody in the world believes me, but now even you don't believe me?"

I believe you.

"You only speak to those who do not believe."

"I can choose not to say."

"But I'll help you investigate the case."

"yes."

He Bi actually admitted it, and without even changing his expression.

“You think I’m afraid?” Li You glared at him. “Actually, it wouldn’t hurt to let her know.”

Without thinking, He Bi was about to speak again.

"Stop!" Junyi's face immediately showed even more headache. "I mean, it wouldn't hurt to let her know, but it's still a bit troublesome."

He Bi nodded: "It's good that you understand."

.

Li You lifted the curtain and looked inside before turning back to look at him: "You find it very easy to blackmail your friends. Don't you feel ashamed?"

“Thinking that you also threatened me, I feel no shame at all,” He Bi said slowly. “Your old man probably won’t tie you up again. If so, wouldn’t you be too idle? No woman likes a lazy pig.”

"I'm a lazy pig, but I'm busier than you."

"You also like investigating cases."

“But I also need to get married and have children,” Li You straightened up and stared at him seriously. “As a descendant of the Li family, I am both intelligent and filial, so naturally I should prioritize the important matters of the Li family. Besides, cough... how could she bear to let me run around with you and work so hard to investigate cases?”

He Bi glanced at him, about to speak—

Behind them, the curtain of the car door was suddenly lifted, and a head popped out: "What case? Tell me about it."

------------------------------------(Love, Friendship, Family)-----------------------

Unfortunately, although this story is titled as a romance, I couldn't help but write more about friendship and family.

In this flamboyant era, the status of love has been elevated to a high level, so there's no need for me to embellish it. Of course, I still wrote it, along with my own humble opinions.

Novels and television dramas have always depicted "love suicide" with sacred praise, but I find it quite distasteful. Call me unromantic if you will, but the living are the most important people, and what we need most is to cherish and care for those who are alive.

While dying for love is a beautiful thing, no one wants it to happen to them in the first place.

In my heart, sincere friendship and true love are comparable. Yet nowadays, there are always more people who complain about their friends than those who praise them.

Have we forgotten something? Making friends isn't about getting them to do things for you.

It's often said that "a friend in need is a friend indeed," but if your friend only brings you a tattered piece of clothing, you might not be so angry if you could understand that it's because he had no charcoal to give.

There are no perfect friends in this world. If someone makes an exception for you, you should feel happy and grateful. Why ask for too much?

Whether it's romantic love, family affection, or friendship, to obtain the most genuine kind, we need each other's understanding, tolerance, and dedication.

Don't you think so? :)

----------------------------------------(People and Life)-------------------------

Although this book is about revenge, it's not very meaningful. Haha, deep-seated hatred is not common in modern society. I can only hope that after reading it, readers can try to let go of their obsessions in certain matters and be more tolerant of each other. I think that will make them much happier. :)

As for the male protagonist in the story, he is not perfect, consisting of two "gods" and two "humans". Almost all of them have a lot of flaws, but when these people get together, they can accomplish many great things in the martial arts world.

Ultimately, I gave the female lead to Li You because I admire his optimism and attitude towards life. Although it's a bit realistic, one doesn't have to live in the shadows all the time.

Life is about being happy; what's the point of being sad and heartbroken every day?

Moreover, having someone understanding and tolerant by your side, whether a friend or spouse, should be a blessing. (This is also why I asked the female lead to forgive Li You. Li You didn't really cheat; if He Bi had died, I believe he would have stayed by her side for a night. In life, it's common for couples to neglect each other when they're in a bad mood. If, as some friends say, you never look back after making a small mistake, how will you maintain your family in the future? There are limits to mistakes, and growing old together requires the joint effort of both partners. Of course, this doesn't apply if your husband is known as a "henpecked husband." This is just my personal opinion; please feel free to disagree.)

Deep down, I actually prefer the tragic character of Nangong Xue. Because of his role, I was severely criticized by my friends, and the price I paid was not small.

To harm innocent lives in the name of revenge—if the same situation were applied to us, many people would indeed choose to live a life of ignominy, and perhaps even live a good life.

All I can say is that it's because they are not Nangong Xue.

Li You and He Bi understood, so when he committed suicide, they did not try to stop him. Perhaps such behavior would not be understood by others, but there was already enough mundane reality of friendship, and there was no need to add it to Nangong Xue's burden. He didn't need it.

Haha, life is inherently mundane, so everyone can freely imagine and fantasize :)

---------------------------------------- (Three explanations) ---------------------------

Regarding the female protagonist's dream, I initially wanted to explain it as her experiencing a time warp, which gave her a stronger sense of events at a specific point in time. However, I later realized that this explanation was too cliché and I was too embarrassed to write it down, so I simply omitted it. :)
