Kapitel 209

"Get the car ready, I'm going out in a bit. You'll come with me to the police station... Hmm, find a guy who can drive to come with us... I don't want to be your driver anymore." I smiled.

I strolled to the front of the repair shop. Everyone was there, dressed in their work clothes as usual, but since there was nothing to do, they were all sitting there idly smoking and chatting. Seeing me approach, they all crowded around: "Brother Wu... how much longer do we have to put up with this...?"

I didn't answer that question; I just stared at the empty doorway and asked, "What's wrong? No business?"

"What a joke! With so many things that have just happened, only a ghost would come here to get their car repaired!" one of the guys sighed helplessly.

No sooner had he finished speaking than a black sedan pulled up in front of the door, and a man jumped out, laughing loudly, "Anyone here? I need to fix your car!"

With her long hair flowing, phoenix eyes slightly raised, and a half-smile playing on her lips, she stood calmly at the doorway, watching me with her hands clasped behind her back…

Who else could it be but Yang Wei!

I froze for a moment, rubbed my eyes hard to make sure I wasn't seeing things, then pushed past the people around me and walked over, saying with a wry smile, "You...it's you? What brings you here?"

Behind Yang Wei, the tall Hansen stepped out of the car and stood behind her, his face as cold and hard as granite, wearing sunglasses.

Yang Wei looked at me, smiled, and said, "I remember telling you to call me once you landed safely... but it seems you've forgotten that... Since you're not calling, I'll have to come here in person to confront you."

I was filled with surprise, but also a hint of delight. I couldn't help but grab her arm and say, "Come on! I'm facing a whole host of problems right now, and you, my strategist, have delivered yourself right to my doorstep. I guess I'll have to ask you for your help!"

I glared at her: "I haven't settled accounts with you yet! What kind of lousy plane did you put me on? It made me parachute out... What if I had died in the crash? Wouldn't that have been the end of me?"

Yang Wei smiled, but did not answer. Instead, she raised her hand and extended a finger, making a gesture as if she were putting a ring on her finger.

I understand what she means... I have a lucky ring, so I shouldn't be that unlucky as to fall to my death.

But damn it... I didn't wear the ring on my finger the day I came back! Clearly, although Yang Wei is smart, she doesn't really understand the purpose of the ring or how to use it!

Moreover, it seems that a girl extending a finger while making this stroking gesture... well... it really has a bit of a lewd feel to it...

Part Two: The Road to Success, Chapter Thirty-One: Chaos at the Police Station

In Eighth Master's office, I didn't bother with formalities and told Yang Wei everything that had happened recently.

Yang Wei listened quietly as I spoke, neither interrupting me nor asking questions. Only after I finished did she close her eyes and think for a while before speaking, "So, the current chaos in Vancouver is really your doing?"

Her tone was a little strange, but I nodded anyway.

"What a clever little Wu..." Yang Wei's tone was somewhat complicated. After watching for a while, she whispered, "Your actions this time have truly surprised me... Hehe, what a clever tactic, what a clever tactic!"

“Yang Wei…you…” I frowned.

Yang Wei shook her head, looked at me, and said seriously, "Don't misunderstand, I didn't mean to be sarcastic. But I really feel sorry for you... Xiao Wu, for the sake of your big circle, you didn't hesitate to drag the entire Vancouver underworld into it. You've become so ruthless! I think if it were before, you probably wouldn't have done something so cruel! You would still have some mercy in your heart and wouldn't want to harm other innocent people... But this time, you've really shown some of the colors of a ruthless hero."

"Are you insulting me or praising me?" I smiled faintly.

"I don't know, I think I should praise you. Even I think you played that move brilliantly!" Yang Wei said quickly, then whispered, "But... but deep down, I have a vague unease, it seems I don't want you, Xiao Wu, to become that kind of person... Sigh..."

"Hmph!" I raised an eyebrow. "I really can't do it! But... you mean mercy? That's because you haven't seen a lot! How many brothers died this time! And those corpses were chopped into pieces, their heads cut off and placed on the table to scare us... I don't know anything right now! I just want to kill!"

Yang Wei was silent for a moment, then waved her hand: "Okay, let's not talk about this anymore. I take back what I just said! Maybe if it were me, I would have done the same... So, you said the police are now inviting your underworld bosses to negotiate... Hmph, how do you plan to go? And what will you do after you get there?"

I chuckled. "Of course, I'd prefer the Vietnamese leader to come along too. If that were the case, I'd be willing to shoot him on the spot, even in the police station! But I know the Vietnamese definitely won't show up. As for why the police are doing this, it's not hard to imagine. They've gathered us together because they feel they have no other choice, so they're trying to sit down and talk things over to quell this storm as quickly as possible."

"Hmm, not bad." Yang Wei's mind was indeed quick, and she immediately said, "But you went to great lengths to create this situation. In this negotiation, the police want to calm things down, and we naturally can't stop them from doing so! It would be best if this mess continued to simmer. That would be good for you."

“But we can’t go too far,” I laughed. “If we really force the authorities to take extremely tough measures, we’ll all be doomed.”

"I'll go with you to the police station later." Yang Wei slapped the table and laughed, "How could I miss such an interesting scene? This is your Fifth Brother's first time showing his mettle on the Vancouver streets!"

In the afternoon, I, along with Yang Wei, Yang Wei's bodyguard Hansen, and my henchman Hammer, arrived at the police station.

To show my sincerity, I didn't bring too many of my men.

I made a big show of it, and although we were supposed to meet at 3 o'clock, I dawdled and didn't arrive at the police station until almost 4 o'clock. What I found amusing was that there were already about two or three hundred citizens from various social groups protesting and demonstrating at the police station entrance, expressing their dissatisfaction with the deteriorating security situation over the past two days and the police's ineffective work.

What surprised me even more was that, somehow the news had leaked out, and although our car bypassed the front entrance of the police station and entered from the back, as soon as I got out, two men in trench coats ran out from a short distance away, snapping photos of me indiscriminately. Although the police quickly chased them away and even tried to snatch their cameras, I noticed some other suspicious-looking individuals lurking in the street…

A reporter? No way...

Jeff was waiting for me inside the door. When he saw me arrive, he gave me a wry smile: "My God, Fifth Brother, Fifth Master, don't you know what punctuality means?"

I said casually, "This is my first time attending a gathering invited by the police, so I should at least prepare a little."

I was wearing a very formal suit, looking more like a business elite attending some kind of negotiation than a gangster boss. Yang Wei, sitting next to me, was dressed impeccably in a women's suit with a knee-length skirt. Behind us, Hammer and Hansen looked like two imposing figures, one in black and one in white.

We entered through the back door and went straight up the stairs. Jeff led us to the door of a conference room. I noticed the entire corridor was blocked off, with police officers guarding both ends. I smiled, pushed open the door, and went inside.

Upon entering the conference room, it was filled with thick smoke. The room was filled with gangsters of various strange appearances. Although there was ventilation, the room was still filled with the acrid smell of cigarettes. The air was thick with a pale blue haze.

I saw a long table in the middle with about eight men sitting there. There were black men, white men, Arab men, Asian men... The oldest was in their fifties or sixties, and the youngest was in their thirties or forties.

These people either leaned back in their chairs with disdain or displeasure, glaring at each other, while others simply crossed their legs and furtively observed their surroundings.

I glanced at Yang Wei, smiled, and went inside with her. Immediately, someone glanced at us and asked, "Who's this kid?" The speaker was an Arab man wearing a white headscarf, with dark skin and a thick beard.

Before I could speak, Jeff announced loudly, "This is Mr. Chen Yang, he is here on behalf of Master Fang."

I ignored everyone else. I had already spotted the three elderly members of the Chinese gang sitting to one side, so I walked over and nodded to them as a greeting. I recognized all three of them; they knew me too. When they saw me, their expressions were somewhat complicated. One nodded, while the other two remained expressionless.

Yang Wei and I sat down next to the Hua Gang members. To my left was Yang Wei, and a little further back were the three Hua Gang members. To my right was an Arab man; I didn't know if he was Iranian. He was the first guy to speak when I came in.

The room was already quite full. There were about eight or nine people gathered around the table, each with one or two bodyguards standing behind them. I noticed everyone's gaze involuntarily sweeping towards Yang Wei. After all, everyone here was a man. And a stunning beauty like Yang Wei certainly attracted attention.

And I also noticed that most people looked at me with a degree of disdain. After all, these were all prominent figures from various organizations in Vancouver, while I was simply too young.

At that moment, the conference room door opened, and a Caucasian man, around fifty years old, walked in. He was very tall and stood ramrod straight… only unfortunately, he was somewhat overweight, with a rather bulky waist. Although his facial expression was forceful, and he tried his best to appear tough, the worry unconsciously revealed between his brows betrayed his true feelings to some extent.

I saw that he was wearing a police uniform... and a very high-ranking one at that!

Jeff was standing half a step behind him on his left.

The old man walked in, sat down at the head of the long table, glanced around sharply, and then spoke in a deep, gruff voice.

"Ladies and gentlemen! I am Senior Superintendent Norton of the Vancouver RCMP... Of course. I think everyone here is an old friend, we all know each other very well, there's no need for me to introduce myself." His voice was loud and clear, clearly a man of great energy. Norton seemed to smile, but it was a mechanical smile: "I think everyone here has been an old friend for many years... For example, Bill, hey, I remember when I was still patrolling the streets in my car, your West End boss was your uncle, right? Over the years, I've tried my best to maintain a good relationship with everyone, so I think that's why I invited you all here today."

The man Norton called "Bill" was a white man. I glanced at him and vaguely remembered that he was a member of a local gang whose territory was in the West End, not very big, near the Vietnamese gang's territory.

Norton glanced at me, then looked back at Jeff, and said loudly, "Of course, I think there are some new friends here as well. This is Mr. Chen Yang, who is here today representing Master Fang of the Big Circle. I think that although you may not know him, Master Fang should be an old friend of yours."

"Hey, very good, very good. Fang Bazhi's airs are definitely bigger than ours." It was the Middle Eastern man who spoke again. He was sitting next to me, giving me a cold look, and then his face was full of arrogance, his eyes almost reaching the top of his head: "We all came in person, but Fang Bazhi only sent a kid who hasn't even grown up yet!"

A flash of anger crossed Norton's face, and he was about to speak when I turned to him, looking at him with a gentle smile, my face showing no anger at all, and said calmly, "I'm sorry, Eighth Master has been a little unwell lately, so I'll have to represent him."

"Oh, really?" A hint of sarcasm flashed across the Middle Eastern man's face. "I think it's not that you're feeling unwell, but rather that you're afraid you can't get up."

Norton, his face grim, said quickly, "Mr. Archiz, please..."

I waved my hand quickly, sighed softly, and stared at the Middle Eastern man named Aziz, still speaking in a very calm tone: "Oh, so you also know that our Eighth Master encountered some accidents?"

"Hmph!" he shouted, "Everyone here knows that Fang Bazhi from your Big Circle was almost killed? Kid, since you're here on his behalf, you should at least know how to be humble! Hmph, aren't you Chinese always so good at being humble? First of all, you're late, so you should apologize to everyone. Then, you need to remember your place. You're just a kid! You have no right to speak here. Since you're only here on Fang Bazhi's behalf, you might as well sit to the side and listen!"

That's outrageous!

That's really arrogant!

I felt a slight sense of unease.

What gives this person the right to be so arrogant?

I glanced around at the people; the Chinese group members all looked blank, while the two Indians wore expressions of resentment. Yet, no one uttered a word…

A thought suddenly struck me.

The Middle Easterners have been the most ruthless in the past two days since I stirred up this mess. They not only beat the Indians badly, but also took some territory that originally belonged to our Greater Circle.

Perhaps the brief victory made this guy a little dizzy.

Thinking about this, I smiled... What a coincidence! I was just about to go to sleep when someone brought me a pillow. I was still figuring out how to find something to do, and suddenly someone presented me with an opportunity...

"Dear Mr. Aziz," I said calmly with a smile, "first, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Chen Yang."

"Who cares about your name..." he was still muttering something.

I continued with a smile, "Oh, because I think you should remember my name. It will leave a 'very deep' impression on you."

The moment I finished speaking, the smile vanished completely! A fierce glint flashed in my eyes, and I abruptly swung my fist, smashing it into Aziz's face. His distinctive Middle Eastern hooked nose was instantly flattened!

He screamed and fell backward. His body was too bulky, and he couldn't get up after tumbling. Behind him were two Middle Eastern men—clearly his bodyguards! One swiftly drew a gun, while the other brandished a curved knife!

Whoosh!

I stared at the cold glint of the scimitar, not flinching at all. I grabbed his wrist with one hand, then pushed him away. The scimitar immediately slashed in the opposite direction. A scream rang out, and in the flash of blood, the Middle Eastern man holding the gun was slashed hard across the wrist, blood gushing out, and the gun fell to the ground.

I had already grabbed the shoulder of the Middle Eastern man holding the knife and gave it a quick shake. His shoulder snapped, the joint dislocated. I stood up, made a fist with my other hand, and delivered three consecutive punches to his stomach. He didn't even groan before collapsing to the ground.

Another bodyguard, clutching his wrist with a fierce expression, struggled to charge at me. I raised my leg and my knee struck him in the face, causing blood to spurt out. He lay on the ground. I picked up the curved knife from the ground and slammed it into the table with a thud!

Everyone around was still in shock. Some looked stunned, others had complicated expressions... and still others seemed a little bewildered!

No one could have imagined that in this situation, in the negotiation room of the police station, I would dare to take action so easily! I would turn on you so suddenly!

But I haven't finished yet!

I looked at Aziz lying on the ground, he was covering his nose, as if his nose was broken.

I laughed, but God knows how cruel my laugh was.

Right there in the room, under the watchful eyes of so many people, I stood beside him, raised my right foot (wearing a leather shoe), and stomped hard on his face…

One! Two!

Aziz screamed like a pig being slaughtered. I never imagined a person could scream like that...

His face was so bloodied that it was impossible to recognize him.

I think if he had only "potentially" broken his nose, then now, even the world's best plastic surgeon probably couldn't restore it to its original state!

Under the shocked gazes of everyone, I slowly moved the chair aside. Three people were already lying on the floor, and Aziz was still screaming in agony. I deliberately shifted my chair, intentionally placing the leg under one of his hands, and then I sat down…

"ah!-!!!!"

Aziz was almost unconscious, but the intense pain made him scream shrilly again. I kicked him in the head, and he finally lost consciousness.

I sat there, watching everyone stare at me with either fiery eyes, sinister intentions, panic, or confusion... Faced with so many gazes, I casually pulled out a cigarette, holding it between two fingers. Hammer immediately stepped forward, reaching for his lighter...

bite!

Amidst the flickering flame, I took a drag of my cigarette, then slowly exhaled, smiled slightly at everyone, and said calmly and softly, "I apologize, everyone, I acted a little impulsively just now."
