Die Kampfsportwelt ist ein Sumpf - Kapitel 77

Kapitel 77

Suddenly, a blur of dizziness washed over me, and I plummeted from mid-air, my clothes flying wildly, my longsword falling from my hand and embedding itself in the snow, trembling gently...

In my hazy consciousness, a blinding red appeared before my eyes; the blood gushed from my chest, spurted from my neck, and spilled from my severed limbs...

Stretching endlessly, exceptionally beautiful.

A headache struck, and in my daze, I seemed to smell the smoke of firewood.

Wei Zijun choked and coughed. Opening her eyes, she saw a pair of brown eyes.

After carefully recognizing the face in front of him, he exclaimed in surprise, "Brother Nangong!"

"Fourth brother still remembers me!" Nangong Que smiled as he lay down beside her, propping his head up with his elbow.

"Where is this?" The dim light made her realize that she was in a cave. She was lying on a thick layer of dry grass, and there was a campfire burning beside them.

My thoughts raced as I recalled everything that happened before I fell into a coma.

Yet she remained so calm, without fear, without panic, without regret, without guilt... Without guilt? Perhaps. But her hands would no longer be clean. Would the dream of a peaceful, carefree life become a mere pipe dream?

Looking at her dazed face, Nangong Que smiled and said, "Fourth brother, were you frightened?"

"Huh?" Wei Zijun came back to her senses, not knowing what he meant.

“We merchants waiting in the distance witnessed you kill all our guards. Fourth Brother is such an upright person, he shouldn’t have killed anyone!”

"Those people deserved to die!" Wei Zijun's face was calm, without a trace of pity. She only felt sorry for the poor people, and she felt no pity for those whose hands were stained with blood.

"Why has Brother Nangong come to the Turkic Khaganate?" Wei Zijun's expression flashed with surprise as she stared intently at Nangong Que. This person's appearance was too illogical. Could he be related to those people? The elusive and ghostly figure before she fainted appeared before her eyes, and something seemed to be in disarray in her mind.

“Of course I came with the Dayu caravan. I wanted to trade for a few Akhal-Teke horses to take back.” Nangong Que smiled charmingly. “I just happened to see someone drug you and then kidnapped you.”

"So it was Brother Nangong who saved my life. I thank you very much, Brother Nangong." Wei Zijun was about to get up and bow when he suddenly felt dizzy. Nangong Que pressed him down. "No need for formalities. You need to wake up for a while. Boyuan asked me to take care of you. Why did you run here?"

"Oh, I'm visiting relatives, haha, just visiting a relative."

"Hmm!" Nangong Que didn't press further, but his fingers touched her earlobe. "Why...don't you have ear holes?"

Wei Zijun's heart skipped a beat, and her eyes widened. Why did he ask such a question? Did he realize she was a woman? Had he really guessed? Perhaps he was just saying it casually, perhaps she was overthinking it, or perhaps playing dumb was the wisest course of action.

"Brother Nangong is making fun of me again. Why doesn't Brother Nangong have ear holes?"

"Why would a grown man get his ears pierced?" Nangong Que scoffed.

“Brother Nangong and I are both men, so why does Brother Nangong ask such a question?” Wei Zijun smiled.

Nangong Que remained noncommittal, only chuckled, and touched Wei Zijun's lips with his hand, "Be my woman!"

"Boom!" Wei Zijun's mind exploded, a wave of heat washing over her face, making her want to disappear into the ground. He knew she was a woman? How did he know?

This sudden exposure made her feel extremely ashamed and embarrassed.

"You, you, you..." The question "How did you know?" was about to come out when a thought flashed through his mind, and what came out was: "Don't you dare humiliate your little brother."

Nangong Que chuckled mischievously, brought his face close to Wei Zijun's ear, and whispered, "Whether it's a man or a woman, we'll find out soon enough. Fourth brother, there's no need to panic."

"You...you...I'm a man."

"Hahaha—I, Nangong Que, have seen countless women. I've crawled out of a sea of women; how could I not smell a feminine scent?" He lowered his head and sniffed Wei Zijun's neck. "The first time I saw you, I... I smelled it. Do you like the thing I gave you?"

"I, I threw it away! I threw it away!" Wei Zijun was furious. What kind of talk was that, a female! He dared to say that again? "How could I wear that thing that a woman wears? If I had known that Brother Nangong intended to humiliate me, I would never have accepted that thing that day."

Nangong Que lifted Wei Zijun's sleeve, revealing her slender, snow-white arm to be completely bare. Nangong Que's expression turned cold. "You really threw it away? How should I punish you?"

He lowered his head and, without warning, pressed his lips against Wei Zijun's.

The sucking was gentle, lingering, and tender.

Wei Zijun froze on the spot, forgetting to resist. The touch on her lips was surprisingly wonderful, making her almost succumb to this soft embrace.

The large hand began to wander restlessly, sliding from the waist to the abdomen, and then to the chest.

The sudden massage on her chest startled Wei Zijun awake, and she blocked his inappropriate hand with her arm.

Nangong Que's brown eyes turned deep and unfathomable, their swirling depths capable of captivating anyone. His voice was low and husky as he said, "Take off your clothes and let me see."

"Wh...what..." Wei Zijun was shocked again. Could there be such a shameless person in the world?

"Let me see—your body, I want to see—"

Wei Zijun was furious and wanted to hit him on the head to wake him up. What kind of person was he?

Both angry and ashamed, she kicked Nangong Que, who was lost in lust and completely unguarded, sending him tumbling into the fire behind her.

With a howl, Nangong Que withdrew his long, slender hand from the fire and looked at Wei Zijun like a wronged woman.

Seeing smoke rising from behind Nangong Que, Wei Zijun, filled with guilt, crawled forward to extinguish the flames threatening to ignite on his body. Unexpectedly, she crawled too hastily and tripped, knocking Nangong Que's head into the fire.

The aroma of roasted sheep's head filled the air. Wei Zijun panicked, rushed forward, and yanked Nangong Que's head out, frantically slapping it until the wisp of smoke gradually dissipated...

Gazing at the almost completely burned-out back of her head, Wei Zijun wisely scrambled to her feet and fled the cave in a panic, disregarding everything else. A peerless beauty had been ruined by her own hand. The guilt spurred her to quicken her pace, ignoring the angry roar coming from behind her.

Upon reaching the cave entrance, they saw Tesaru waiting there. Wei Zijun's heart warmed, and she embraced Tesaru's head. She then mounted her horse and galloped away.

Midway through their journey, they encountered a group of men brought by He Lu.

"It's wonderful to see you back alive. If I had known, the Khan wouldn't have been so anxious to send people looking for you." The fleeting joy in his eyes was instantly covered by coldness, as if it had never happened at all. "Go back and see the Khan. He was so worried when he learned that you went to your death alone. You were missing for half a day, and he fainted from anxiety."

Upon hearing this, Wei Zijun felt a pang of anxiety and spurred his horse to gallop towards the Khan's court.

He abandoned Tesalu and rushed into the Khan's tent. He pushed aside the imperial physicians surrounding the bed and bent down to approach.

Ashina Yugu, who was taking medicine, saw her, suddenly pushed away the medicine bowl in front of him, got out of bed, and hugged her tightly.

He was truly afraid, afraid of losing him again; he didn't have the strength to endure that kind of pain once more.

Holding him tightly, finally, I could hold him like this. His body was so soft and warm, making me want to meld it into my heart.

His wind...

When Wei Zijun came out of Ashina Yugu, it was already evening. Due to a sudden fainting spell, his condition had worsened.

The reason her condition worsened was because of her; besides a trace of guilt, I felt even more heartache.

Unfortunately, Dieyun was only skilled in treating external injuries and was powerless to treat this chronic illness. She needed to find a renowned doctor from Dayu to treat him. He had to live well so that she could return to Deer Ridge Valley with peace of mind.

Lost in thought, she quickened her pace, eager to get back to her tent and wash herself properly, even though she wasn't covered in blood.

Although she forced the blood away with her internal energy, her body was still filled with the aura of bloodshed and slaughter. She needed to wash herself properly and change her clothes.

As she approached a felt tent, she suddenly stopped, hearing a faint, imperceptible sound. Looking up, she saw several figures flying overhead in the night, heading straight for the Khan's tent. Judging by their agility, they were all exceptionally skilled.

Wei Zijun's heart tightened, and she exerted her strength to follow.

Seeing those men stop at the top of the Khan's tent and use daggers to cut open the tent roof, it was clear that their target was Ashina Yugu.

Wei Zijun leaped up and engaged in combat with the group.

The sounds of fighting above awakened the followers below, and shouts of "Catch the assassin!" rose and fell. Several highly skilled followers flew up and joined in.

Seeing that things were not going well, those people scattered and fled. Just as Wei Zijun was about to give chase, she suddenly saw a person appear on the top of the tent, holding a bow and arrow, aiming at the tent.

"Stop—" she shouted, rushing forward at her fastest speed. Unexpectedly, seeing his defeat, the man suddenly flipped his hand, turning the arrow towards her. The arrow whistled as it shot out of the bow and flew towards her.

Wei Zijun, who rushed forward with all her might, didn't even have a chance to be stunned. Two words flashed through her mind in an instant—Oh no!

Just as the arrow was about to strike, two figures shot out like lightning, and suddenly the person was pulled away by a powerful force. With a "thud," the arrow pierced through that powerful force.

"Liu Yunde—" Wei Zijun exclaimed in surprise.

He Lu, standing beside him, was clearly not as fast as Liu Yunde. Seeing her being held in Liu Yunde's arms, a trace of loneliness flashed in his eyes.

"Tell me, who instructed you?"

The captured man in black raised his head, looked at Ashina Buzhen, then at Ashina Yugu, and then swept his gaze over the ministers. Finally, his eyes settled on one person.

"Left Wise King—I am guilty! I have failed you!" After saying this, he bled from all seven orifices and collapsed to the ground, dead.

Wei Zijun stared blankly at the man, her face filled with confusion. Then, a glint of light flashed in her eyes, and her mind cleared instantly.

"Left Wise King, do you have anything to say?" Ashina Buzhen raised a cold and stern face and looked at Wei Zijun, who had a calm expression.

Wei Zijun smiled, "What does Chief Da want me to say?"

"Please explain what the assassin just said. What did he mean?"

"Da Tou She is joking. Only he understands the meaning of his words. How could Wei Feng possibly guess what others are thinking?"

"Hahahaha—Left Wise King, what else do you have to say? The evidence is conclusive. Do you still want to get away with it? I'm afraid you have no choice." After laughing, Ashina Buzhen looked up and glanced at Ashina Yugu's face.

"Tell me, Da Tou She, what is Wei Feng involved in? And what evidence do you have to prove that Wei Feng has done anything wrong?"

"Now that things have come to this, you still want to argue? We've already seen your eloquence, Wise King, so there's no need for you to show off. If you truly don't understand, I'm not afraid to explain until you do." Ashina Buzhen coldly pointed at him. "You, though in the Turkic Khaganate, have your heart in Dayu. You instigated a Dayu traitor to assassinate the Khan. This assassin is of Dayu blood, wears Dayu clothing, speaks the Dayu dialect, and confessed before his death that you were the one who orchestrated the assassination. With such evidence, what excuses do you have left? Furthermore, the people who massacred my tribe today are dressed exactly like the assassin today, indicating they were instigated by the same person. What does the Left Wise King think?"

Wei Zijun chuckled and glanced at Ashina Yugu, who was simply staring at the scene expressionlessly, without saying a word. It was unclear whether he believed it or not.

"Then let me ask you, Datoshe, if you wanted to assassinate a foreign monarch, would you expose your identity?"

"Of course not!"

"Is this person dressed so grandly in Dayu clothing trying to tell us he's from Dayu? How could he be so stupid?"

"..." Ashina Buzhen suddenly regretted his answer.

"Dayu dialect! Da Tou She can speak it too, but no one has said that you, Da Tou She, have been working for Dayu all along!"

"You...don't try to argue." Ashina Buzhen's rather handsome face showed a hint of anger.

"And this caravan is so blatantly committing massacres within Turkic territory, aren't they afraid of causing a conflict between the two countries?" Wei Zijun looked directly at Ashina Buzhen, as if trying to find something on his face.

"Furthermore, since this man is already prepared to die, why bother revealing the mastermind? Those who confess are often cowards who fear death. If he's not afraid of dying, why bother confessing? Won't his confession bring disaster to his family?" Wei Zijun snorted coldly and continued, "This plan to kill two birds with one stone is truly brilliant—assassinating the Khan on one side and framing him on the other. It's just a pity that although it's a good plan, it's not very well-thought-out. It's just a foolish trick by some stupid people, thinking that some fools will easily fall for it. But I think the people in our camp aren't that stupid."

"..." Everyone in the tent fell silent. No one wanted to admit they were a fool. This Left Wise King was too sharp-tongued, but what he said did make sense.

He Lu's tense face relaxed slightly, and a barely perceptible smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

"The Left Wise King killed nearly a hundred people today by himself. His heroic act is probably to silence witnesses and exonerate himself, isn't it?" Ashina Buzhen's voice suddenly rang out again. "Left Wise King, can you explain what you've been doing during your disappearance? Have you been plotting with someone?"

“Datoushe is mistaken. Wei Feng left more than twenty people alive. Doesn’t Datoushe know that?”

"Haha—alive? All our men saw were dead bodies, not a single one alive!" Ashina Buzhen laughed mockingly. "Where are the living people the Wise King speaks of?"

Dead? Those who were acupunctured were silenced? Wei Zijun frowned but remained silent.

"Alright!" Ashina Yugu said, "This matter ends here. Datoushe, you will investigate this matter, but you are not allowed to speak ill of the Left Wise King anymore. All of you may leave."

"Khan!" a servant reported from outside the tent. "Jiexin Dadushe's maidservant wants to see the Great Khan, saying she has seen an assassin."
