Young Prime Minister, a Hermit - Chapter 87
The middle-aged woman forced a smile and shook her head, saying, "No, I probably just had tinnitus."
The young man sighed and said, "Let's take him for a check-up tomorrow."
The middle-aged woman quickly shook her head and said, "No need, why waste money? By the way, is Lanlan still sleeping?"
The young man nodded with a wry smile: "She sleeps for 12 out of 24 hours a day now. She's practically a lazy pig."
The middle-aged woman chuckled, and the sounds of their conversation gradually faded away. Therefore, neither of them saw that the waveform on the electrocardiogram display, which had previously shown dots and horizontal lines, suddenly became erratic, but only for a brief moment before returning to its original state.
The thin man on the bed remained lying there peacefully, as if he would never wake up.

Volume Two: Postscript to "The Storm is Coming"
Volume Two has finally come to an end. Although due to publishing issues, it's uncertain when everyone will be able to see this afterword, I still wanted to make a record of it. I'll post it online when I'm able to update it.
Volume Two finally reveals all the mysteries that could be solved, although some parts are a bit stiff and rushed, it at least provides a summary. Lin Yu is Galan, and Liu Cenfeng is Yu Fei. Galan came to this world two years ago while in a coma and merged with Chi Fei's soul, living on the continent of Yixiu for fourteen years, becoming a wise and intelligent young prime minister. Until Liu Cenfeng drugged her and caused her death, Chi Fei's soul fell into slumber, and Galan returned to the modern world. However, she returned again because of Zi Mo's summons, but the structure of the water chain had changed, allowing her to travel between the two worlds. Moreover, because she lost her past memories and did not merge with Chi Fei's soul, she made many mistakes, took many detours, and suffered a lot of harm.
As for Yufei, the inhuman torture and confinement he endured that year completely warped his personality. He always possessed a dual, intertwined, and struggling nature. Furthermore, Liu Cenfeng, who transmigrated a second time, possessed an extremely strong will. When Yufei transmigrated, he inherited Liu Cenfeng's memories, but also some of his habits, goals, and loyalty to Jun Wuhen. It can be said that Yufei was the most tormented and tragic of all. If we don't read the sequel, giving him this ending—jumping off a cliff—providing a moment of peace and tranquility, I think, is the best outcome.
Zi Mo's disappearance was, in fact, inevitable; everyone could have imagined it regardless of whether the event actually occurred. If Lin Yu had altered history, Zi Mo's existence would have been erased. Moreover, once his goal was achieved, his obsession dissipated, much like the Void Clan in *Ghost Beyond*, disappearing with their wishes fulfilled. If he followed history, his revenge would remain unavenged, and the woman he loved would forever be someone he could only watch from afar, unable even to embrace—the pain would likely be indescribable. Therefore, Jia Lan was aware of this as well. Her regret stemmed from two reasons: first, her feelings for Zi Mo were far deeper than she had imagined; second, if she hadn't been so gullible and willful, Zi Mo wouldn't have disappeared so quickly.
I don't need to say anything about Yi Han, right? This person is even more like air than Zi Mo, staying by Lin Yu's side unwaveringly, even if the sky were to fall and the earth were to crack. But honestly, their path is truly difficult! Let alone the person about to wake up in the modern world, or Xu Lie whose divorce papers haven't even been torn up yet, even just in ancient times, they are about to face countless hardships. So close yet so far, how painful!
I won't go into Xu Lie's story; there's been enough about him in the side stories. When we get to Switzerland, I'll definitely give him a "surprise," hahaha... I'm definitely not a good person...
By the way, I originally said I hadn't thought of a title for the second book, but actually I had already decided, I was just afraid of revealing the contents of the first book if I wrote it down. The second book: Fate brings us together in this life. It will be divided into two volumes, tentatively titled: Volume Three: If Heaven Has Feelings, It Too Grows Old, and Volume Four: When Weary Birds Return, Fragrance Lingers on Their Sleeves.
The second part: Fate brings us together from past lives to this one.
If Heaven had feelings, it too would grow old.

Chapter One: Photography
"Sir, excuse me, could you please take a picture for us?"
The Chinese was very fluent, the voice clear and crisp, with a hint of nervousness. Xu Lie turned around in surprise, and a plain, ruddy face came into view. He was slightly stunned.
She was a girl around eighteen years old, with a ponytail, wearing a thin white cashmere sweater, her shoulders slightly hunched, and her eyes always fixed on the tips of her shoes when she spoke, only occasionally glancing at him timidly and excitedly.
After waiting for a long time without receiving a reply from Xu Lie, the little girl panicked and blurted out, "You don't speak Chinese either?"
He turned and exchanged a glance with the girl behind him; both of them wore expressions of annoyance and regret. Xu Lie smiled slightly, his previously depressed mood eased, and said in a deep voice, "Okay."
Xu Lie's voice is not deep or magnetic, but it has a mellow and refreshing quality. It is a kind of calm and clear voice that is a mixture of sunshine and mature male charm, making people both approachable and hesitant to get too close.
The little girl blushed and smiled, then hurriedly ran back to her friend. Both of them blushed slightly, glancing at him from time to time, their heads close together as they whispered something. Low, suppressed laughter drifted over, a mixture of excitement, joy, and shyness. Xu Lie picked up his camera and pressed the shutter without hesitation.
The digital camera screen flickered on and off, and in that brief moment, a clear image appeared before Xu Lie. Xu Lie stared at it, lost in thought, the smile slowly fading from his lips, his eyes dark and heavy, devoid of storm yet brimming with a faint sadness.
It seems that he and she never took a single photo together—no wedding photos, no casual photos, not even the ones she requested…
"Xu Lie, Xu Lie! Let's go take some photo booth pictures."
He looked at the woman groveling before him with disgust: "Who would want to film that kind of stuff? Can't you put something useful in your head?"
"Why is this useless?" The little face shrank into the quilt, looking like an abandoned puppy. "When I bought the cake today, the owner gave me two couple keychains, which can hold photos."
Every time he saw that expression on her face—a mix of pity, expectation, and coquetry—he couldn't bring himself to refuse her, yet he also couldn't accept it honestly. He could only say fiercely, "We'll talk about it when I have time."
It was clearly a perfunctory remark, yet she was still delighted to hear it, as if she were about to go with her to take photo booth pictures tomorrow. But…
Xu Lie handed the camera back to the girl, put his hands in his trench coat pockets, and walked back step by step. The dappled sunlight reflected off the water, creating silvery glints that stung his eyes. He had so much to do at the company, he needed to respond to the video request from Shanghuai, and he had to pick Xue'er up from the music room that evening. The days passed by, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second. It had only been four short months, but it felt like four centuries had passed mechanically.
But until he received the signed divorce papers from her, he and she still hadn't taken a single photo together, neither a decent one nor a mediocre one.
