L'histoire destructrice de mari d'une impitoyable médecin légiste - Chapitre 60

Chapitre 60

Zi Jin's face was unusually pale. She clutched her chest, her lips trembling, the intense pain pounding against her fragile nerves. She inwardly cursed herself; how many times had she read the story of the farmer and the snake? Why couldn't she learn her lesson?

Zi Jin felt her vision slowly blurring, and a ringing in her ears. She moved backward little by little, but was blocked by the embroidered bed behind her.

Lou Shuo knew that the most innocent person in this matter was Zi Jin. Judging from the events just now, Zi Jin was not a malicious person. The four people over there started to attack again, but Lou Shuo just couldn't bring himself to do it.

"Kill!" Young Master Jinyang seemed to see Lou Shuo's hesitation. He still held the bronze mirror, did not turn his head, and coldly uttered a single word.

A strange smile curled at the corner of west Le's lips, a hint of hatred, a hint of pleasure, and a hint of complexity flashing in his eyes: "She has been physically weak since childhood, and now you've dealt her this blow. Even if you don't kill her, she won't live much longer." The three of them firmly trapped Xi Le in a corner, awaiting Young Master Jin Yang's orders.

Young Master Jinyang glanced at Xile indifferently and said, "Are you telling me all this to save him?"

With a smile playing on her lips, west Le said in a seductive voice, enunciating each word clearly, "Heh...heh...I'd rather watch you kill her with your own hands than save her."

Zi Jin bit her lower lip to stop herself from groaning. How much power did he use in that slap? How could it cause such excruciating pain? She watched Xi Le's mouth open and close, but couldn't hear a sound. Everything around her was eerily quiet. The excruciating pain and the ringing in her ears filled her with dread.

Young Master Jinyang gave Xi Le a deep look, touched the scars on his face, and said softly, "There are fewer than three people in this world who have a grudge against me. Since you claim to have a deep-seated hatred for me, then I will help my enemy fulfill his wish... How about it?"

west Le's eyes sparkled, but her smile froze on her lips.

A mocking smile appeared on Young Master Jinyang's lips as he strolled over to Lou Shuo's side, took the sword from his hand, and just as Xi Le had done when he picked up the broken jade, lightly grazed Zi Jin's cheek with the tip of the sword, saying casually, "If I first destroy this ordinary face and then kill him with my own hands, would my enemy be more satisfied?"

Zi Jin huddled up, trembling. She tried to shrink back as much as possible, raising her eyes to look at Young Master Jinyang, but she couldn't bring herself to say anything pleading.

west Le turned her face to the side, playing with the long hair at her temples, and smiled charmingly: "If you want to torture her, then it is she who owes you..." Before she could finish speaking, she quickly reached out and pulled out the golden hairpin from her head and shot it at Young Master Jinyang. Young Master Jinyang raised his sword to block it, and west Le flew over to exchange blows with Young Master Jinyang.

west Le's attacks were all aimed at vital points, his eyes burning with intense hatred, as if he were ready to take everyone down with him.

Young Master Jinyang stopped the other four from making a move with a look, easily deflecting west Le's fierce attack.

With a flick of her wrist, Xi Le flew toward Zi Jin. Before she even reached her, Lou Shuo had already taken the lead and restrained the curled-up Zi Jin, gently holding her slender neck with his right hand.

west Le's beautiful eyes were already bloodshot with anger. She screamed, "Don't think I'm fighting you to save her. There are some things she has to do. Give her back to me now!"

Young Master Jinyang smiled gently, the scars on his face unable to conceal his peerless elegance, and uttered a cold voice: "Lou Shuo, make your move."

Lou Shuo glanced at Young Master Jinyang in surprise, hesitated for a moment, and then tightened his grip inch by inch. Zi Jin's eyes widened, her slightly dark cheeks already turning purplish-blue, but she did not struggle. Lou Shuo felt a pang of pity and turned his face away.

west Le turned to Young Master Jin Yang, her voice distorted, and shouted angrily, "Dugu Xi Hui! You'll regret this!"

Young Master Jinyang and the other four were all taken aback. Young Master Jinyang suppressed the surprise in his eyes and said, "You must have mistaken me for someone else."

Seeing that Lou Shuo had stopped moving, Xi Le's voice became a little more composed: "To be able to tell from this unique virginity mark that the famous Young Master Jinyang is actually Dugu Xihui? How many people in this world can do that?"

Dugu Xihui stared at west Le for a long time, disbelief flashing in her eyes: "Sikou... Le... how could you have become like this..."

In the nick of time, a figure burst through the window, sword aimed directly at Dugu Xihui's face. Dugu Xihui raised his hand to block, but the figure reversed course, aiming for Lou Shuo's vitals. Lou Shuo casually tossed Zi Jin aside and dodged. The figure flew back towards Zi Jin, but Young Master Jinyang blocked it with his sword, and the figure retreated to west Le's side.

"Jin Yu! Quickly snatch the little mute girl back!" west Le looked at the person who came in, Jin Yu, in a fit of anger.

Jin Yu glanced at the people around him, then turned to look at Xi Le, whose shoulders, arms, and legs were covered in wounds and whose face was deathly pale. After hesitating for a moment, he suddenly attacked the three people surrounding Xi Le.

In the brief moment of calm, west Le retrieved the whip and used all his inner strength to move towards Zi Jin's range. Lou Shuo seemed to have seen through their intentions and immediately joined the fight. The score was now four to two, and Xi Le was seriously injured again. Jin Yu, who had to worry about west Le's safety and guard against the opponent's deadly moves, had also been wounded.

Zi Jin endured the ringing in her ears and turned to see the two of them had broken through the encirclement and moved to the window. Instead of fleeing, they walked towards her and said, "Go! Go quickly!"

west Le glared fiercely at Zi Jin: "Shut up!"

Although Zi Jin couldn't hear what Xi Le was saying, she understood that Xi Le didn't want to abandon her. She winked at Jin Yu, who, sensing Zi Jin's intention, hesitated only briefly before pulling Xi Le's arm and leading her to the outer perimeter. Dugu Xi Hui, seeing through their intentions, was unwilling to let the matter rest. He raised his sword, ready to join the battle.

Zi Jin quietly picked up the dagger that had fallen to the side and lunged fiercely at Dugu Xi Hui.

west Le Jin Yu was shocked. west Le struggled to break free of Jin Yu's restraint and tried to rush in again, but Lou Shuo and the other three would not give them the chance.

Dugu Xihui flicked his wrist, and the dagger in Zi Jin's hand fell to the ground. He then approached the unarmed Zi Jin step by step.

Jin Yu gathered all his inner strength and flew out of the window with west Le.

west Le's face was contorted as she kicked and bit Jin Yu like a madwoman. Her eyes were bloodshot as she stared intently at Zi Jin's every move: "Little mute!..." The piercing scream abruptly stopped as Jin Yu chopped down with his hand, and Xi Le fainted. He leaped out of the window and disappeared into the distance.

The three chased after him, while Lou Shuo returned alone to Dugu Xihui's side.

With a grim face, Dugu Xihui approached Zi Jin step by step. Seeing that the two had escaped safely, Zi Jin lowered her eyes and retreated step by step until she had nowhere left to go.

Dugu Xihui kicked Zi Jin hard in the chest, sending her flying against the wall before bouncing back down. She tried to get up, but felt a metallic taste in her throat, and blood-red liquid slid from the corner of her mouth. Her ears rang even louder. She looked up in Dugu Xihui's direction, but all she could see was a blur. She collapsed limply to the ground.

Dugu Xihui turned around angrily, staring at the window through which Xile had escaped. After a long while, he said, "Order Naminglou to pursue him with all their might and kill him without mercy." His voice was icy cold and filled with an inexplicable hatred.

After an unknown amount of time, Zi Jin groggily got up, looking around at the courtyard filled with exotic flowers and resplendent gold, her mind blank. The high red walls and dazzling golden tiles were not the familiar palace of the Moon Kingdom. This palace was even more grand and colder than the Moon Kingdom's palace.

Not far away, a group of palace servants slowly walked towards them. Zi Jin stood frozen in the middle of the road, forgetting to dodge. Everyone seemed not to see her at all, and hurriedly brushed past her.

Startled, Zi Jin hurriedly caught up with the palace servants, asking, "Where is this?"

Not a single member of the group of palace servants heard her shout and gradually disappeared into the distance.

Zi Jin touched her whole body, able to feel its warmth, but the undeniable fact was that no one could see her. Zi Jin uncertainly pinched her face, but felt no pain whatsoever.

Could it be that she's unwittingly become a ghost again? Zi Jin was filled with remorse, secretly blaming her damned compassion for saving a handsome snake who had turned on her. What a huge loss! How could she be so shameless!

Zi Jin stood in the flower bushes, feeling annoyed and wishing she could bite herself to death. Looking up, she vaguely saw someone sitting in the middle of the flower pavilion, and out of curiosity, she walked over there.

In the center of the flower pavilion sat a woman who was no more than twenty years old. She wore a plain robe and a golden lotus phoenix crown. She had a beautiful face and graceful demeanor.

Beside her sat a child dressed in a bright yellow silk shirt, whose bright eyes were scrutinizing a person standing opposite her with their head bowed.

The woman's watery eyes were filled with sorrow. She looked at the boy, who was no more than eighteen or nineteen years old, standing opposite her with his head bowed: "Ruoxi, the Dugu family and Feng Jin will be entrusted to you in the future. Don't be disappointed in your sister."

Dugu Ruoxi, dressed in a purple gauze robe, slowly raised his head, his eyes, bright as morning stars, looking at the woman with deep pity: "Sister, don't be too sad. The late emperor is gone, but my Dugu family and the new emperor cannot do without you."
