Chapitre 4

Ya-hsuan: "I'm in for a story. I'll take notes later."

Middle-aged man: "In the era before the division of the Jun into North and South, the Jun family was full of talented people. The head of the family at that time, who was also my grandmaster, passed on some of his teachings to the Southern Jun because of the transportation problems at the time. It was a good starting point, but it caused unnecessary conflicts between the Northern and Southern Jun."

Wenqing: "Are there any conflicts between the rulers of the North and South?"

Middle-aged man: "Some fight for territory, some fight for fame."

Wenqing: "But the imperial family is one family, so why are they fighting?"

Middle-aged man: "The Northern Lord wants to reclaim the Southern Lord's legacy, but the Southern Lord is hiding in the mountains and won't come out, so the Northern Lord has started to try every means to force the Southern Lord out."

Wenqing: "Forced out? Why?"

Middle-aged man: "Because Nan Jun has two important laws in his possession."

Wenqing: "Which two?"

Middle-aged man: "One is about burning down the forest, the other is about the eye at the bottom of the sea."

Wenqing seemed to be deep in thought: "I have heard of these two laws."

Middle-aged man: "Have you heard of it?"

Wenqing nodded: "I've studied that before."

Middle-aged man: "Have you had contact with Mr. Nan?"

Wenqing: "My teacher is Nan Jun'ang."

Middle-aged man: "Your teacher? Didn't you say your master was Bei Jun?"

Reply [16]: Wenqing: "My teacher is not my master. If we count, my teacher should be of the same generation as you."

Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man exclaimed, "How could you possibly have come into contact with Mr. Nan?"

Wenqing: "If I hadn't heard you say it, I wouldn't have known that the Northern and Southern Kings were in conflict."

Middle-aged man: "It was precisely because of these two laws that the North and South were at odds."

Wenqing: "What exactly happened back then?"

Middle-aged man: "What happened is no longer important; it seems the rumors are true."

Wenqing: "Rumors? What rumors?"

Middle-aged man: "I heard it too. Some people say there are big problems with the succession of the current sect leader."

Wenqing: "My master?"

Middle-aged man: "Hmm! I heard that he used the Southern Lord's method to defeat his own junior sister, thus being able to inherit the Northern Lord's legacy. But in doing so, his identity as the Northern Lord is now questionable."

Wenqing: "But the position of sect leader has already been established, what problems could there be?"

Middle-aged man: "I recently heard that Bei Jun is going to depose the current sect leader."

Wenqing: "You want to cripple my master?"

Middle-aged man: "I heard it was his junior sister who pushed for it."

Wenqing: "My martial aunt? It's obvious to everyone that she lost to my master."

Middle-aged man: "You've heard the prophecy of the last Celestial Master, haven't you?"

Wenqing: "I've heard of it."

Middle-aged man: "Some people say that your master will teach someone who will unify the North and South, but the North doesn't think so. The North believes that with the current scale of the North, there is no need to mix with the South. If I'm not mistaken, you are the legendary last Celestial Master."

Ya-hsuan: "Wow! Wen-ching, your background is so amazing!"

Wenqing glanced at Yaxuan: "I don't believe I am, and there's another person who received the same inheritance."

Ya-hsuan: "The other one? Who?"

Wenqing: "My senior brother, Longya."

Middle-aged man: "Where is he now?"

Wenqing: "He's probably retired from the martial arts world by now."

Ya-xuan: "He's retired from the martial arts world, how could he be the last Celestial Master?"

Middle-aged man: "I know that. It's possible that he deliberately made people think he had retired from the underworld to avoid being noticed, is that right?"

Wenqing: "I don't know about that, because he is my senior brother. No matter what he does now, he is still my senior brother."

Middle-aged man: "Hmm! Then you should be careful. Your uncle's plan to depose the emperor might be launched soon. I personally think there is a high possibility that your master will be deposed."

Wenqing lowered her head and remained silent, while Yaxuan anxiously asked, "What will happen if you are deposed?"

Middle-aged man: "If he's crippled, his fate will be terrible; he might never be able to work again."

Ya-xuan: "It's so serious, Wen-qing, what are you going to do?"

Wenqing: "If anyone dares to touch my master, I'll never let them off the hook."

Middle-aged man: "Don't be so impulsive. The Northern Lord has a lot of power. I do have a suggestion."

Wenqing: "What kind of suggestion?"

Middle-aged man: "Why don't you go out and make a name for yourself? Even if your master is crippled, you can still take care of him."

Wenqing: "To start a business?"

Ya-hsuan: "Yeah, who cares about the Southern and Northern schools? You're so amazing, you can create your own school of thought."

Wenqing: "But~~".

Ya-hsuan: "Don't be so sure. If you make a name for yourself, I think your master will be very happy."

The middle-aged man said, "I think so too. If you become famous, I think your master won't have to fight with those people anymore. Just think of it as your master starting a new sect, and you can help him lay the foundation first."

Wenqing: "Hmm! But what should I do?"

Middle-aged man: "As long as you nod, that's fine. I'll take you to see something tomorrow, so you can start preparing today."

Wenqing: "What are you preparing?"

Middle-aged man: "Are you planning to live here? I'll give you the other house on the other side unconditionally."

Wenqing: "This..."

Ya-hsuan: "You're a woman, why are you being so fussy? Just thank them and that's enough."

Wenqing thanked the middle-aged man, who smiled happily.

Reply [17]: 6) Wenqing's Palace

The next morning, the middle-aged man asked Wenqing to get in the car, saying he would take her to see a place. Yaxuan, of course, wouldn't be idle either. The three of them set off and soon arrived in front of a temple. However, the temple seemed to be unfinished because the scaffolding had not yet been dismantled. Wenqing looked at the middle-aged man curiously: "Why did you bring me here?"

Middle-aged man: "I built this temple, but I haven't helped him enter the fire."

Wenqing: "Why is it covered but not put into the fire?"

Middle-aged man: "Because I believe this temple needs a capable person to preside over it."

Wenqing: "You're very capable too, aren't you?"

Middle-aged man: "I don't think I have any ability."

Wenqing: "Hmm! So what do you mean by bringing me here?"

Middle-aged man: "Yes, I hope you can take over this temple."

Wenqing: "Me?"

Middle-aged man: "That's right! Because I believe you have the ability."

Wenqing: "Is this alright?"

Ya-xuan was a little angry when she saw Wen-qing stammering again: "Just accept it generously. You don't need to be afraid of others knowing if you're capable."

Middle-aged man: "Miss is right. If you're willing, I'll choose a day to enter the fire."

Wenqing fell into deep thought again. Yaxuan said, "Okay, okay, I'll agree to him for you. That's it."

The middle-aged man looked at Wenqing and said, "That's fine. The new temple is being set up, and we still have a lot to do."

Wenqing: "I understand. By the way, what should I call you from now on?"

Middle-aged man: "Call me Grandmaster."

Wenqing: "Hmm! Uncle Master."

Back home, Uncle Master started looking up auspicious days in the almanac, while Ya-xuan went out to buy daily necessities. Wen-qing stayed in his room reading the codex his master had given him, but his mind kept wandering to the possibility that his master might be deposed. "Will my master really be deposed?" Wen-qing kept asking himself, and eventually, he fell asleep.

"Junior brother, you're not paying attention," Longya said to Wenqing.

Wenqing, sword in hand, watched Longya's movements. Longya raised his iron whip and swept it forcefully, creating a strong gust of wind. Wenqing leaped into the air. "Overwhelming Force! Senior Brother, when did you learn that?" Wenqing asked in amazement.

Longya: "It's in the code, don't you know?" Longya put away his iron whip and looked at Wenqing with curiosity. Wenqing also sheathed his sword.

Longya: "Junior brother, what's wrong with you lately? You always seem restless."

Wenqing: "I don't know either."

Longya: "I can tell you must have something on your mind. We're fellow disciples, so just say it."

Wenqing thought for a moment and asked, "Senior brother, if Master were to be crippled one day, what do you think Master would do?"

Longya thought for a moment: "I'm sure he'll go online like crazy to express his anger."

Wenqing: "Senior brother, I'm serious."

Longya: "You know perfectly well that nothing is important to Master."

Wenqing: "What would you do if your master were crippled one day?"

Longya: "If that day really comes, I think Master might think he's finally free. What's wrong with you, thinking about all this nonsense?"

Wenqing: "Hmm! It's nothing. I think I'm overthinking it."

Longya: "Looks like you're not in the mood to practice with me today either. Alright, I'm leaving now, you should go back too."

Wenqing: "I know."
