Kapitel 218

This time, the man didn't remain silent. Blood was trickling from the corner of his mouth, and his speech was somewhat slurred; he had probably bitten his tongue when I slapped him earlier.

“He said… since we’ve caught him, he’s definitely going to die, so he doesn’t believe you. He said he’s prepared to die and you can make your move anytime.”

The stone slowly translated for me.

"Oh..." I responded casually, then suddenly stood up and swiftly moved behind the guy. Grabbing his hair with one hand and drawing my dagger with the other, I swiftly slit his throat...

flutter!!

With the pressure from within, blood gushed out immediately! My cut was very deep! His throat was severed in an instant. When a person is dying, they will naturally struggle, but I had already grabbed his hair and held him down. His body twitched a few times in vain. He made a "gurgling" sound, but with his throat cut, he couldn't even let out a complete scream.

Blood splattered onto the ground in front of me, turning it crimson. My arms and the blade were also covered in blood. Another Vietnamese man kneeling next to him had blood splattered on half of his face as he struggled in his death throes.

Stone seemed to pause for a moment, and so did the others in the room.

They probably didn't expect me to be so decisive and ruthless! I actually attacked without warning, killing without hesitation! I didn't leave any room for negotiation.

The corpse lay heavily on the ground, blood slowly flowing, its body still trembling. I knew this was a natural nervous system reaction, but the remaining Vietnamese man beside it had a face full of despair and terror.

I lifted my leg, rubbed the dagger against the sole of my shoe, and looked at the stone: "Tell this guy that he asked me to kill him, and I was just fulfilling his request. As for this guy, ask him if he also wants me to kill him."

Stone gave me a strange look and translated what I said.

Sure enough, the remaining Vietnamese man trembled all over upon hearing this, his face turned deathly pale, and he remained silent for several seconds before suddenly screaming!

His voice was hoarse and distorted beyond recognition, like a chicken being slaughtered, trembling with emotion. Although I couldn't understand his words, I was certain of his incoherent speech.

He was scared!

I gave a cold laugh.

That's right, that's more like it!

I refuse to believe that every single Vietnamese person is a hero who is ready to die for their country!

They're just gangsters, you think they're all revolutionary martyrs?!

“He said he was afraid of dying, he didn’t want to die.” Stone gave the guy a disdainful look.

I smirked: "Alright, it's good that you're afraid of death. If he weren't afraid of death, we'd be in trouble."

I crouched down and stared into his eyes: "Do you know who we are?"

“…I know.” The Vietnamese man’s reply, which Stone translated for me, was: “You are from the Big Circle.”

I nodded in satisfaction: "So, your people have been hiding here all these days?"

As I spoke, I deliberately, intentionally or unintentionally, brushed against the corpse's head, making the corpse's face directly face this guy.

His psychological defenses completely collapsed, and he quickly confessed everything.

It turns out that about twenty Vietnamese people were hiding here... Besides this place, the Vietnamese had four or five other hiding places, each with at least twenty or thirty people, and at most fifty or sixty. Basically, the most elite thugs and gunmen in the Vietnamese gang numbered nearly two hundred.

No wonder we haven't been able to find any Vietnamese people lately; it turns out most of them are hiding like this. As for the other ordinary henchmen and street thugs, they've all been temporarily sent home. Things are chaotic outside these days, and those people don't dare to wander around.

Moreover, the Vietnamese are very cunning; they stay in one place for no more than three or four days before moving on to a new hiding place. This greatly reduces the chances of being discovered.

As for their hiding places... according to this guy's confession, they were actually some half-finished projects undertaken by Vietnamese construction companies, as well as some abandoned buildings or construction sites. After all, the Vietnamese made money by getting involved in the real estate industry a few years ago, so there were quite a few places like these where they could hide.

This answer made me sigh a little.

Why didn't I think of that?! Yes, I knew to go to the Vietnamese construction companies to find their phone numbers, but if I just check the records of the businesses these Vietnamese have done in the past few years and the construction projects they have been responsible for, I can probably find quite a few clues!

Hiding in abandoned buildings and old structures... what could be safer than such places?

Just before we found this place today, the twenty-odd people hiding here had moved. This time, they moved to a warehouse at a seafood processing plant a little further out of downtown Vancouver. Without me having to press them, the guy told me himself.

As for how those two unlucky guys ended up back, it really does have something to do with the gold watch we just found.

The gold watch belonged to a leader of the Vietnamese people hiding here. They were in a hurry when they moved and accidentally lost the watch.

This item was quite valuable, and the leader was a little reluctant to part with it, so he sent his two henchmen back to help him find it, but...

I questioned him carefully several times, repeatedly asking about many details to confirm that he wasn't lying. But just as I was about to stand up, I saw a glint in his eyes, and I smiled.

He crouched down again. He drew his dagger, the blade lightly lifting the man's chin, and slowly said, "I'm satisfied with what you said... You're honest. However, the information you've given me is too little value to buy your life. Unless you have more valuable intelligence, I cannot spare your life."

Stone said these words expressionlessly, and the Vietnamese man's body trembled again.

He hesitated for a few seconds, but I deliberately twisted my wrist, and the blade gently pierced the skin on his chin, causing blood to flow out.

This guy was terrified; the moment he saw he was bleeding, he screamed. I went up and slapped him twice, making him see stars.

"Say it! Say it! I'll talk!" He was going crazy, screaming wildly.

Then he revealed some information that surprised us... a very useful piece of information!

In Vancouver, the biggest leader of the Vietnamese gang was surnamed Nguyen and named Nguyen Ah Kit. He was known as Mr. Nguyen.

He also has a younger brother named Nguyen Van Kit, who is the third-ranking figure in the Vancouver Vietnamese gang.

These two brothers were known in the underworld as "Big Ruan" and "Little Ruan".

And this guy told me some news about "Xiao Ruan".

Xiao Ruan had also disappeared and gone into hiding these past few days. However, people who are used to being the boss inevitably develop certain habits and quirks. After living like a rat for so long, they naturally couldn't stand it anymore.

Xiao Ruan has a mistress—that's not surprising. It's common for underworld bosses to have ten or eight mistresses, let alone one. But this particular mistress is someone Xiao Ruan just got his hands on a few months ago, and they're currently very much in love.

More importantly, Xiao Ruan seems to have secretly gone back recently to see his mistress. Originally, it was Da Ruan's order for them to go into hiding, but after all, Xiao Ruan is Da Ruan's younger brother. He secretly ran home behind his brother's back, and even if others found out, they wouldn't dare to say anything to him.

The problem is that after Xiao Ruan ran back, she refused to come out. Instead of hiding with the main group, she only took two bodyguards and stayed at her mistress's house and changed locations.

The reason is: his mistress is pregnant with his child!

Both Da Ruan and Xiao Ruan are in their forties, with plenty of women around them, but perhaps due to the many bad things they've done over the years, they haven't been able to have a single child. This time, one of his mistresses is pregnant with Xiao Ruan's child, and even in this tense situation, he doesn't care about anything else and simply moves into his mistress's house and won't leave.

This wouldn't have been a problem in itself. Since he was staying at his mistress's house, it was actually quite safe for him; outsiders couldn't find out how many mistresses he had. If he hid and didn't go out, we wouldn't be able to find him either.

But the problem is precisely that...

The Vietnamese man in front of me... Nguyen Thi Thuong's mistress is his sister.

This unexpected piece of information immediately excited us!

Shi Tou stroked his chin and couldn't help but laugh, "Damn, this Xiao Ruan is quite the romantic! Hehe! Good! Good!"

He glanced at me and said, "So? Now we know one of the Vietnamese's hiding places and the whereabouts of their number three. What's our next move? Should we take out their number three first, or should we raid their hiding place first?"

After thinking about it carefully, I suddenly had a brilliant idea.

"No rush, no rush." I looked at the stone. "I suddenly remembered a really fun idea..."

I stood up, glanced at the guy kneeling on the ground, and showed a look of disgust. Hmph, a guy who'd sell his own sister just to save his own life.

"Hey, do you know that if you tell me this news, your sister and your brother Xiao Ruan will both die! Huh?" I asked him.

The Vietnamese man kept his head down and didn't speak, but his body was trembling.

"Kill him," I said calmly.

Stone immediately drew his gun and pulled the bolt. The Vietnamese seemed to understand what we were going to do and began to wail loudly.

“What did he say?” I asked Stone.

“He said you promised him you wouldn’t kill him,” Stone said, pursing his lips.

"Oh, you told him..." I said calmly, "I lied. If he feels wronged, he can go complain to the King of Hell about me."

Part Two: The Road to Success, Chapter Forty-One: The Most Despicable Framing

"This is Xiao Ruan?"

This is a very upscale apartment building located in the northeast of downtown Vancouver. The living room is spacious and large, with polished, gleaming floors and sofas that feel as soft as clouds. I sat there, looking at the middle-aged man sitting in front of me.

He must have been forty years old, but he looked no different from someone in their thirties. Like most Vietnamese people, he was not tall, somewhat thin, with high cheekbones, but his eyes were very bright and piercing... always flashing with a fierce look.

At this moment, there was a hint of fear in his ferocity.

That look in his eyes is very much like that of an animal... a mongrel.

It was already past midnight, and the sky outside was just beginning to lighten. When we barged in, we encountered fierce resistance. Xiao Ruan's two bodyguards were quite capable; in the rush, we didn't give them a chance to fire, but in the struggle, we used ruthless methods. The bodies of the two bodyguards have now been dragged to the bathroom and thrown into the bathtub.

This is a very large house, a duplex.

Xiao Ruan seemed to be a very pragmatic person. After all, he was the boss, and he wasn't a hothead. Seeing that there was no possibility of resistance, he resignedly threw away his gun, looked at me, and said in broken Chinese, "Don't let your family suffer."

When he said this, he was only wearing underwear, and there were two very noticeable knife scars on his exposed body.

He's still a man at least; he knows to protect his woman in times of crisis.

He then gave up resisting and was dragged to the living room below by the stone men, who forced him to kneel in front of me.

“Little Ruan?” I looked at him. “I’ve heard so much about you.”

He snorted and glanced at me sideways: "You're Xiao Wu from the Big Circle?"

I raised an eyebrow. Xiao Ruan said coldly, "The Chinese in Vancouver, those gangs are cowards, they wouldn't do something like this. Only your Big Circle! As for you, you're young, all these people listen to you. If you're not Xiao Wu, then who is!"

"Okay, have a seat." I pointed to the sofa in front of me.

Xiao Ruan was still a figure of some importance, being the third-in-command of the Vietnamese gang, even though he was in dire straits. He still retained some of his swagger, sitting proudly opposite me.

I didn't humiliate him; I allowed him to wear a bathrobe.

“This house is nice.” I looked around and sighed, “The furniture is high-end, the plasma TV is Sony, Japanese brand. This crystal chandelier must be worth at least several thousand dollars… Hey, in this location, a house this big must cost at least a million dollars… You’re good to your woman.”

I snapped my fingers, and the stone pulled out a woman as if she were a chick.

The woman was young and undeniably beautiful, radiant and striking. Her hair was slightly dyed blonde, her features captivating, and her figure petite yet curvaceous. She appeared to be no more than twenty years old, wearing a white, form-fitting tank top. However, it was obvious she wasn't wearing a bra, as her breasts were subtly visible beneath the fabric, revealing her nipples.

Because we caught her at home, blocking the door, she was wearing her usual clothes—shorts that revealed her fair legs. Terrified, she stumbled and collapsed onto the sofa, immediately curling into a tight ball, desperately trying to hide her alluring legs.

“She is indeed a beautiful woman.” I glanced at the mistress and looked at Xiao Ruan: “No wonder you give her such a nice house and treat her so well. You even dare to stay here at such a critical moment.”

Xiao Ruan's face immediately turned ugly: "Xiao Wu! We're all in this together, we might live to see tomorrow! I accept that I've fallen into your hands today! But when you're in this business, you can't let your family get away with it! I've given you my life, but what about my woman, you..." Although he was tough, he couldn't help but say something soft at this moment: "...Spare her."

After he finished speaking, he reached out and patted his woman, whispering something in Vietnamese, probably to comfort her. The woman was so frightened that she started to cry, her body trembling.

I squinted and remained silent. Stone stood behind me like a stern-faced god, with all the other brothers standing around us. This scene made me feel vaguely uneasy, as if I were one of those villains in a movie who wipes out an entire family.

"Give me a knife, and I'll take care of myself!" Xiao Ruan said through gritted teeth, her face pale.

I didn't answer him. Instead, I smiled, leaned forward a bit, and looked at him: "Your Chinese is pretty good."
