Глава 4

"Thanks for the reminder." One of the thugs reached out and snatched her backpack, but the men behind her didn't let go.

Someone reached out to pull at her school uniform, and Zhou Sisi cried and scratched at the person next to her: "Get out! Don't touch me!"

Suddenly, Zhou Sisi's vision brightened. The dirty hand hadn't touched her school uniform collar. The owner of the dirty hand had an arm across his neck, covered by a blue and white school uniform.

The thug was dragged away by the arm, like a chicken with its neck being squeezed.

Qin Chu stared expressionlessly at the thug he had restrained.

Judging from the expression on his face, you would never guess how much force he was using. A tall man, over six feet tall, was dragged around by his throat with his elbow locked, his face turning as red as a bamboo pole, unable to utter a single word.

The other thugs around were startled, but were relieved when they realized it was a student.

"Hey kid, what are you doing?"

Qin Chu opened his eyes and glanced at him: "Nothing much, just wanted to chat."

Recognizing that the person in front of her was Cheng Cheng, Zhou Sisi became even angrier before the thug could say anything.

She shoved aside the thugs around her and pointed at Cheng Cheng, yelling, "It really was you! Cheng Cheng, I didn't believe my classmates when they told me you were capable of this kind of thing, but you...you! I should have known better than to admit it, since we have an exam today!"

Qin Chu: "?"

Although completely bewildered, Qin Chu cursed Noah in his heart for giving him such rubbish information that he couldn't even recognize a single person.

Qin Chu quickly pinned the thugs to the ground. Just as he was about to ask the girl a question, he looked up and saw that she had already run out of the alley.

"I'll fuck your grandpa!" the leader of the thugs wailed, clutching his stomach. "Kid, you just wait!"

Qin Chu had already stepped halfway out of the alley when he heard this, so he turned back.

He has a problem: he can't stand people making threats in front of him, and he'll slap them every time he sees them.

After glancing at the group of thugs, Qin Chu stepped on the face of the leader.

His expression was cold, exuding an invisible sense of oppression: "I'm only warning you once, listen carefully. You can cause me trouble if you want, but if you stop students on this road again, you'll be soaking in a stinking ditch tomorrow."

The threat was so great that the thugs all looked at the stinking ditch at the street corner, their faces turning green with rage.

Although it turns out that even in the virtual world, General Qin's ability to deal with people has not diminished, Qin Chu still faces a predicament.

He's going to be late.

Qin Chu's face darkened.

Unable to hail a taxi nearby, Qin Chu was unsure whether his strange behavior would have any additional consequences, even though he could run the remaining kilometers in five minutes.

At that moment, Qin Chu noticed an electric scooter parked in front of a shop.

A tall, thin young man got off the bus and walked slowly into the store. He looked like a delivery worker for the store.

Qin Chu walked over and stopped the person, asking directly, "Have you finished delivering the goods?"

The man was wiping sweat from his hair, and his overly long bangs revealed a clean-cut face; he was quite handsome.

He seemed taken aback when he saw Qin Chu: "You've finished delivering...?"

Before he could finish speaking, Qin Chu got into the car and tossed his wallet behind him.

His cold, detached voice carried on the wind: "There's money and my ID inside. I'll borrow the car for a bit; I'll return it tonight."

Just as Qin Chu was about to arrive at school, Noah finally reappeared.

Noah glanced at the car under Qin Chu's rear, paused for two seconds, and then asked, "...Dear sir, may I ask what you did while I was away?"

Qin Chu: "I tested whether beating people up in this world is any different from beating people up in the real world."

Noah: "No, I'm asking about this car."

Qin Chu replied matter-of-factly, "Borrowed."

“Alright.” Noah reluctantly accepted and reported to Qin Chu, “The unexpected incident regarding your appearance has been investigated. Because your mental level is too high, it breaks through the constraints of the data body, allowing the data body to exhibit your own characteristics to some extent. However, the data body’s concealment effect on you still exists, and it will not be discovered by others in this world.”

"What's with that proprietress's expression?" Qin Chu could tell that the unfamiliarity in the breakfast proprietress's eyes when she saw him was genuine.

Noah replied, "Oh, if someone who greets you with a smile every day suddenly has a cold, expressionless face, anyone would find them strange. So please reflect on your facial expression management."

Qin Chu: "..."

I arrived at school almost right on time, and my classmates were already entering the exam room one after another.

Qin Chu gripped the stool with one hand as he walked towards the examination room. Whether it was Qin Chu's imagination or not, the examination room fell silent for a second after he stepped in, and all the neatly seated candidates stared at him.

Then came another awkward silence.

Qin Chu glanced around the examination room and saw that the first seat was empty. He took the admission ticket with seat number 1 in his hand and walked over.

The first exam was about to begin. Qin Chu didn't feel anything was wrong, but Noah was very nervous.

"Sir, your current identity is that of a top student! Do you know what that means?"

Qin Chu ignored him and asked directly, "What is the mission in this world?"

"It's still being calculated. The results should be available after you finish your exam," Noah replied.

Qin Chu scoffed, "Still calculating? That's some efficiency."

Noah replied quite confidently, "In your words, I'm already thankful that I'm not stuck."

Qin Chu: "...You really think this is a compliment?"

Noah quickly steered the conversation back on track, "As a top student, if I mess up this exam, my image will really be ruined. Then the mainframe will capture us and turn us into soup..."

How can an artificial intelligence be so dramatic?

Qin Chu sat down in his seat: "Don't worry, when have I ever had a bad written test score?"

Moreover, this is within a civilization of a slightly lower level.

But soon, General Qin's confidence was proven wrong.

Qin Chu stared blankly at the two crossed-out interstellar characters on the answer sheet, and said to Noah in his mind, "We're going to be captured by the mainframe and made into soup."

Author's Note:

Every world is an imperfect virtual world; don't take it seriously.

The first world is set in a school, during the second semester of senior year, and all the main and supporting characters are over eighteen years old.

The correct way to act bravely is to call the police or a teacher. Please don't act impulsively in real life!

Chapter 5, First Story (3)

He can read the words and he can do the problems.

Qin Chu never expected that he wouldn't be able to write the language of this world. How could someone who can't write be a top student?

Noah and Qin Chu looked at each other in their minds.

General Qin couldn't help but start cursing: "What kind of ridiculous setting is this? Why can I understand these words but not write them? Are you trying to make me answer questions in interstellar language?"

At that point, the examiners will be scratching their heads at a bunch of gibberish.

Noah said, sounding aggrieved, "It's just a military system, how could it have so many language packs like the mainframe? You can understand it now because I secretly downloaded some when I entered this world..."

"Hurry up and find a solution!" Qin Chu barely suppressed the urge to shove a pen into Noah's head and kill him.

Fortunately, before the exam ended, Noah cautiously hacked into this world's data and downloaded the upgraded language pack. Qin Chu took the most nerve-wracking exam of his life in the last half hour.

After the first exam ended, the classroom erupted in noise again.

Qin Chu remained seated, not moving. He saw the proctor smile kindly at him before leaving. This teacher clearly admired Cheng Cheng; it seemed the information Noah had given him at school was correct.

However, Qin Chu was still somewhat puzzled as to how a top student could maintain friendly relationships with a breakfast stall owner, a school teacher, and a street thug at the same time.

If it were only the first two, that would be normal, but what the blond-haired guy in the alley said still made Qin Chu a little concerned.

Moreover, if he wasn't mistaken, the students around him weren't close to Cheng Cheng, the academic star, and even showed some subtle aversion to him.

Qin Chu's suspicions were quickly confirmed. A boy from the same exam room walked in from outside and broadcast like a megaphone: "Damn, Zhou Sisi and Zhao Yuan both failed the first exam!"

These two seemed to have some special status, and people inside and outside the examination hall who heard these words turned around in surprise to look at the boy.

The boy was furious. Seeing that everyone was looking over, he couldn't help but continue broadcasting: "Isn't it because Cheng Cheng hired thugs to stop Zhou Sisi!"

"And he even stole Zhao Yuan's electric scooter! Damn it, he did this to get first place in the last exam, and he did it again this time, it's really disgusting."

In an instant, all eyes turned to Qin Chu, who was sitting in his seat.

Noah was speechless: "...This is what you mean by borrowing a car?"

Qin Chu was speechless: "This is the top student you were talking about?"

Perhaps because there was no evidence, or perhaps because the parties involved did not want to pursue the matter, Qin Chu was not invited to the office. However, from the various glances and whispers around him, Qin Chu managed to piece together information that was not in the documents.

The girl in the alley should be Zhou Sisi, and the one he mistook for a shop assistant is Zhao Yuan. It seems Cheng Cheng engaged in some unfair competition for the sake of his grades.

Unlike the others who were just watching the drama unfold, the person broadcasting the announcement was absolutely furious.

The kid's hair was sticking up, giving him a rather "angry" look.

His gaze swept across the room and found Qin Chu, and he was immediately ready to cause trouble for him. But the second exam was about to begin, and the proctor entered the room as the bell rang, so the loudspeaker guy had no choice but to give up.

When he returned to his seat, he still pointed at Qin Chu and said something fiercely. Judging from his lip movements, it was nothing more than a series of idiotic remarks such as "Don't leave after school" and "Wait for me at the back gate of the school".

Although General Qin disliked people making threats in front of him, the human brat who was only ten years old was really not worth looking at, and Qin Chu didn't even have the desire to lift his eyelids.

The subsequent exams were uneventful; the level of knowledge posed no challenge for Qin Chu. Besides, Noah was with him, so Qin Chu didn't need to ask for help. However, the system itself was quite talkative.

The boy who felt indignant on behalf of Zhou Sisi and Zhao Yuanming glared at Qin Chu for two days, and the exam finally ended two days later.

After the exam, Qin Chu was called away by the proctor to help organize the test papers, so he returned a little late. When he took his stool back to his classroom, everyone was already studying in an orderly fashion. But the excitement of finishing the exam still filled the classroom with suppressed chatter.

Qin Chu went straight in through the main entrance. The slightly worn aluminum alloy door panel creaked as it rubbed against the floor.

The whispers in the classroom stopped abruptly, and a room full of teenagers looked up at Qin Chu.

Logically, the group should have breathed a sigh of relief upon discovering that it wasn't a teacher. However, when they saw that it was Qin Chu who entered, an eerie silence filled the air.

The scene was familiar; Qin Chu couldn't help but think of the time he gave a lecture to first-year students at the military academy. Back then, the silence was filled with awe and admiration, but now it was filled with indifference and disdain.

The desks that had been set up as exam rooms have been moved back to their original positions and arranged in three rows in the classroom. However, at the very back of the classroom, a single desk lies overturned and all alone.

After a brief silence, the classroom erupted in even more noise. The previous whispers were somewhat uncontrollable, but the current commotion seemed to deliberately isolate someone.
