Самый глупый в мире - Глава 60

Глава 60

Yi Chun was still somewhat shocked and bewildered. She slowly walked over, seemingly unsure, and asked in surprise, "Shu Jun? Is it really you?"

He wanted to pinch her cheek to see if it was true or not.

They hadn't seen each other for over half a year, and after searching for so long, he was fully prepared for any possible reaction from her. He just hadn't expected her to call his name so casually. His confession had been met with her rejection, an awkward silence as if nothing had ever happened.

Yichun suddenly realized: "You drew that arrow! You saw me a long time ago? Why didn't you say hello? What kind of naughty thing were you doing sneaking around like that?" He then laughed heartily.

Shu Jun smiled slightly, grabbed her sleeve and pulled her onto the boat, pointing to the crabs on the stove: "It's nothing, just treating you to crabs."

The rice wine was heated to the perfect temperature, and the crabs were steamed to perfection. Yichun raised an eyebrow and simply sat down without any hesitation.

"What are you doing here? Are you here to have some fun?" she asked.

Shu Jun has always enjoyed traveling and sightseeing. Anyway, he has money and time, and it's all about fate if we bump into each other anywhere in the world. After not seeing each other for more than half a year, seeing him again today, he felt that he hadn't changed at all, and was very warm and friendly.

He made a soft "hmm," the meaning of which was unclear.

Little Pumpkin brought out the ginger and vinegar, giggling, "Sister, we've been looking for you for over half a year! You can ask Master if you don't believe me. He was so worried about you that he couldn't eat or sleep, and he even called your name in his dreams!"

Having finally reunited, he was determined to create an opportunity for his master! As the saying goes, a good woman is afraid of a persistent suitor, so he went all out with the most cheesy and affectionate gestures, Little Pumpkin full of ambition.

Yi Chun smiled but remained silent, while Shu Jun slowly peeled the crab shells, as if no one had heard his enthusiastic words.

The little pumpkin ran away, disappointed and frustrated.

"Where have you been playing these past six months?" Shu Jun asked casually as he poured her a full glass of rice wine.

Once she started talking, the slight awkwardness from before disappeared. Yichun talked and laughed as she gestured about the interesting things and people she had encountered on the road, her beautiful eyebrows raised and her face beaming.

Shu Jun listened with great interest, occasionally chiming in to encourage her to continue.

Finally, when she mentioned the map she had, Yichun laughed and said, "I originally planned to go to Shaozhou, the hometown of sheep kidneys, but I went the wrong way and ended up in neighboring Hengzhou. When I was crossing the river, I met a girl carrying many scrolls on her back. I saw that she was struggling, so I helped her carry her bundle. She was a very kind and talkative person. When she learned that I was looking for the Juxia Gang, she said she knew the way and gave me a map. Unfortunately, I don't know how to read a map, so I wasted her kindness."

Shu Jun muttered, "You really have incredible luck. You even managed to run into Chen Qian. So many people would fight tooth and nail to get her to draw a map, and she just gave it to you for free."

Yichun's eyes lit up: "You know her too? Yes, her name is Chen Qian, she's such a good person!"

"You're the best person," Shu Jun thought to herself. Only someone with her personality could navigate the world so smoothly. Everyone couldn't help but be more tolerant of oddballs.

"What do you want with the Juxia Gang?" Shu Jun asked the most crucial question, seemingly casually.

Without the slightest hesitation, Yichun readily told him, "Avenge Yang Shen's family."

So that's how it is. Only now did Shu Jun realize the truth and sort out the relationships involved. Yan Yufei had said that Yang Shen carried a deep-seated blood feud, but he hadn't asked any further questions. It turned out that his enemy was the Juxia Gang.

He looked at Yichun with a complicated expression. There was no shadow of hatred on her face. Perhaps in her heart, seeking out the Juxia Gang was just to help Yang Shen fulfill his wish. The purpose was that simple.

“That’s not easy,” Shu Jun said slowly, picking out the biggest crab from the pot and handing it to Yi Chun. “The Juxia Gang is not an unknown sect. If you go in alone, you’ll be dead in a million. You should think it over carefully.”

Yichun nodded and said, "I know they are very powerful, so this time I'm just here to investigate and don't intend to take action."

During the investigation, Shu Jun couldn't help but chuckle. Her reasons were always bizarre yet perfectly justifiable, making those who doubted her seem so despicable and boring.

He picked out a few larger ones for her, then suddenly said, "You're just doing your research; others might not think the same way. Maybe you shouldn't go yet."

Yichun shook his head repeatedly.

He sighed, rested his chin on his hand, stared into her eyes, and said, "If you insist on going, I'll have to stop you and not let you go."

Yi Chun was slightly startled and almost spilled the rice wine.

Shu Jun smiled and said, "You don't seem to be able to beat me, do you?"

She slowly furrowed her brow, but her expression wasn't one of rage or the panic of being deceived. She placed her wine glass steadily on the table and asked calmly, "Why? Are you also a member of the Giant Xia Gang?"

She actually knew nothing about Shu Jun's background; she only cared about compatibility when making friends, and she wouldn't pry if others didn't tell her about their origins.

His expression held a hint of disdain: "How could that be? I simply owe someone a favor and have to repay it, so I'm staying here temporarily. I thought it was the Yan family coming to cause trouble, but I didn't expect it to be you."

Yichun thought for a moment, then stood up and said, "Since this matter is causing you trouble, I will take my leave first. I will come back after you have repaid the favor."

He should stop her, but couldn't think of a good reason. Shu Jun reached out and grabbed her wrist. Just as he was about to speak, he saw her clutching her stomach and scrunching her face.

This time he was genuinely surprised: "What's wrong?"

She said in a trembling voice, "My...my stomach hurts!"

Shu Jun turned around and looked at the crab shell in front of her, then suddenly realized: "You've eaten too much crab."

In the end, Yichun could only lie helplessly in the cabin. She vomited and had diarrhea all day long. Even an iron body could not withstand such torment. Not to mention going to find the Juxia Gang, she even had difficulty walking.

Shu Junyi stayed by her side without taking off her clothes to take care of her, and every now and then she would put a hot towel on her forehead.

He said slowly, "This is your own bad luck, it has nothing to do with me."

Yichun's face turned green: "You ate crabs too, why are you perfectly fine?"

"I can swallow poison without any problem, let alone two crabs."

Seeing her somewhat defiant expression, his eyes darted around, and a plan suddenly came to him. He leaned down, resting his body next to her face, and whispered, "How about this, Xiao Ge, we make a trade, neither of us loses out. This godforsaken place is so boring, why don't you stay with me for a few days, and I'll tell you how to deal with the Giant Xia Gang. What do you say?"

"This...it seems like you're at a bit of a disadvantage?" Yi Chun looked at him with considerable vigilance. This person was willful and cunning, never willing to suffer a loss, and who knows what strange demands he might make later to make her repay her debts.

Shu Jun chuckled and dug out a fishing rod from the corner: "You've taught me how to fish, so you're not losing out at all."

Yichun stayed and accompanied him to Dongjiang Lake. During the day, when there was nothing to do, she would teach him how to fish, digging up earthworms from the ground to use as bait, which made the master and servant avoid him like the plague.

"Sister! How can you hold this in your hands? Throw it away right now!" Little Pumpkin yelled, clutching his head, as if those fat earthworms were about to crawl onto his face.
