Die dümmsten Menschen der Welt - Kapitel 46

Kapitel 46

After crying for a while, Tan Huan's mind cleared considerably. Thump, thump, an extremely faint sound. She suddenly froze. The body she was holding wasn't breathing, but its heart was still beating weakly. Was there any hope? Tan Huan quickly channeled her inner energy into him, continuously channeling it. She was drenched in sweat, but Baili Liushang's face remained pale.

Tan Huan, her face flushed, pried open Baili Liushang's lips, gently lowered her head, and softly covered them with her own. His lips were icy cold; she breathed into them, inhaling deeply. Tan Huan looked up at his closed eyes, took a deep breath, and kissed his lips again. Her warmth gradually transferred to him, and soon Baili Liushang's lips became warm, and she finally felt his faint breath again.

The thought that he might still be saved energized Tan Huan, and her mind was filled with thoughts of bringing him up. It's alright, as long as she can get her master out, someone will surely be able to save him; perhaps Luo Yi's blood can save him!

Baili Liushang, you bastard, don't expect me to treat you with respect when you wake up!

"From now on, my martial arts skills will be superior to yours, and my status will be higher than yours." Tan Huan carried him on his back with all his might, gritted his teeth, wiped away his tears, and said, "Let's see if you still dare to be arrogant."

Chapter Twenty-Five: Zhengyang Palace

When Tan Huan used it herself, she finally realized just how powerful Baili Liushang was. She could climb such a steep and bottomless cliff without batting an eye, her feet moving with the ease of flying. No wonder her master had previously disdained dealing with those so-called righteous sects; if he wanted, causing widespread destruction throughout the martial world wouldn't be difficult for him.

Tan Huan flipped and leaped onto the cliff, landing lightly on the ground. An hour had passed since she and Baili Liushang fell off the cliff.

Luo Yi and Pei Jin were still alive, and there were several corpses on the ground belonging to members of the Tang Clan. The elders of the Tang Clan had solemn expressions. Some of the Tang Clan's experts were sitting cross-legged on the ground, practicing their internal energy to heal their injuries, while others stared at Luo Yi and Pei Jin with fierce eyes.

The moment Tan Huan jumped up, everyone was stunned, especially since she was carrying Baili Liushang on her back.

"Junior Sister" Luo Yi was dumbfounded, "You and Master..."

Pei Jin stared at her intently, a look of surprise flashing in his eyes.

She's not dead?! She's not dead! This brat actually survived?! Tang Ming, the Tang Clan elder, was practically grinding his teeth to powder. However, it seems Baili Liushang is finished. Fortunately, without Baili Liushang, there's nothing to fear. This is Tang family territory. Even if Luo Yi and Tan Huan are highly skilled in martial arts, they are still young and can't hold out for long.

Tan Huan glanced around. "Senior brother, I remember the most famous doctor in the martial arts world is from the Tang Clan, right?"

Luo Yi glanced worriedly at Baili Liushang, who was being carried by Tan Huan, and nodded, saying, "That's right, Tang Gu Zi, the eccentric doctor of the Tang family, his medical skills are either the first or second in the martial arts world."

Tan Huan lowered her eyes and chuckled softly, "Hmm, not bad."

"What's so great about it? Baili Liushang is dead. Do you think you can leave alive?" Tang Ming glared at Tan Huan, glancing at Pei Jin out of the corner of his eye. He dared to offend Zheng Yang Guan because Baili Liushang was dead, but Pei Gu Mo was still alive. At most, he could let Pei Jin leave safely. He knew Pei Gu Mo; unlike Baili Liushang, he didn't play by the rules. They could still communicate and negotiate.

A cold glint flashed in Tan Huan's eyes. The Lonely Dust Sword sliced through the air, its sword energy forcing Tang Ming to retreat three steps. In an instant, everyone's expression changed. Her face was indifferent, exuding a murderous aura. "I hate it when people associate the word 'death' with Master. Remember that."

Tang Ming reached up and touched his forehead, feeling a cool, sharp pain. A shallow bloodstain, drawn by mere sword energy. His expression changed drastically; he glanced at Baili Liushang, then at Tan Huan, his gaze towards her growing increasingly murderous. "What did Baili Liushang teach you?"

Luo Yi was also very embarrassed, but based on his understanding of his master, he could easily figure out what his master had done.

Tan Huan, worried about his master's safety, ignored Tang Ming's question and instead stared at the group of Tang Clan members in front of him, shouting, "Who is Tang Gu Zi? Step forward!"

No one responded for a long time.

Tan Huan sighed, having already guessed this would happen. She handed Baili Liushang to Luo Yi, saying, "Senior brother, you take care of Master first, I'll resolve this as soon as possible." She drew her sword and said, "If Tang Guzi steps forward, I can make you die a more gruesome death. If he doesn't step forward, then from today onward, the name Tang Clan will no longer exist in the martial arts world."

Still, no one answered her. Tang Ming sneered, "You ignorant fool, you want Tang Gu Zi to treat Baili Liushang, don't you? You dare to spout nonsense when you need our help? Fine! You want Tang Gu Zi? I can lend you one, but you have to crawl around on the ground like a dog and bark like a dog!"

Tan Huan, being thick-skinned, didn't find it a great insult. However, Pei Jin, standing to the side, couldn't stand it any longer and pointed, saying seriously, "Tan Huan, that's Tang Gu Zi."

A middle-aged man, so thin he looked like nothing but bones, stood at the back of the crowd. Tan Huan, with sharp eyes, glanced at him, flipped over, and captured him in an instant. Time was of the essence; at this moment, Tan Huan had no intention of getting entangled with the Tang Clan, and didn't even have time to explain to Pei Jin, "I'll visit the Tang Clan another day. Elders, just wash your necks and wait."

Tan Huan paused briefly beside Luo Yi, "Senior brother, we must return to Zhengyang Palace immediately; Master's condition is dire."

Luo Yi nodded, and the two left in full view of everyone. Tan Huan's movements were almost ghostly. Tang Ming couldn't help but think of Baili Liushang from back then, the Baili Liushang who became famous in the martial arts world as soon as he entered the martial arts world.

Could it be that Zheng Yangguan will still stand after this ordeal? One Baili Liushang is gone, but another Wu Tanhuan has appeared?

Since it concerned his master's life, Tan Huan was prepared to use all sorts of methods, including threats, inducements, and coercion, in order to get Tang Gu Zi to come to his rescue. However, Tang Gu Zi's attitude was unusually cooperative, and he began to treat Baili Liushang before Tan Huan could say anything.

Generally speaking, if someone suffers a qi deviation and becomes demonic, they must find someone with higher martial arts skills to heal them. However, someone like Baili Liushang, who is undefeated, naturally cannot find anyone stronger than him. In particular, he has transferred all his internal energy to Tan Huan, leaving no way out.

Tang Gu Zi agreed to save Baili Liu Shang for his own selfish reasons. First, he was eager to test the effects of Luo Yi's blood. Second, he wanted to secretly drug Baili Liu Shang so that even if he was saved, he could use him to threaten Zheng Yang Palace.

So, Tang Gu Zi stayed up all night diagnosing and preparing medicine, Luo Yi sustained himself with his own blood, and Tan Huan healed him with her internal energy. Exhausted, Baili Liushang finally opened his eyes. The first person he saw was Tan Huan, and his first words were, "Huan'er, is the Tang Clan destroyed?"

Tan Huan was initially very excited, but upon hearing his words, the smile on her face vanished by seven-tenths. "Why don't you ask yourself if you're dead or not?"

Baili Liushang blinked and replied innocently, "Huan'er, do you even remember who the master and disciple are? How can you talk to your master like that?"

Tan Huan said, "You are the master, and I am the disciple." She leaned down and stared at him closely. "However, my martial arts are now superior to yours, so I am in charge."

Baili Liushang chuckled to himself.

"Tang Guzi, come in and see how Master is doing," Tan Huan shouted.

"What are you looking at? I don't need anyone else to look at my own body!" Baili Liushang said weakly. Suddenly, he felt Tan Huan's palm touch his body. His face turned cold, and he immediately guessed her intention. "What are you going to do?" Tan Huan said without changing her expression. "Naturally, I'm going to return your power to you."

"Suit yourself," Baili Liushang said calmly. "If you return it to me, I'll pass it on to Luo Yi. After all, someone has to inherit Zhengyang Palace, right?"

Tan Huan was so angry at his shameless words that she couldn't speak, and could only glare at him fiercely.

"Hehe, if you feel bad about it, then do me a favor," Baili Liushang said. "While I'm still alive, I want to see you become the number one in the world, so that Zhengyang Palace can remain safe."

Tan Huan looked at him quietly and said, "You want me to challenge Pei Gu Mo?"

Baili Liushang laughed and said, "I want you to defeat Pei Gumo." There is a difference between the two words: challenge and win. His disciple was only allowed to win and not lose.

Tan Huan stared intently into his eyes, remaining silent for a long time. Then, she let out a slow sigh, gripped Baili Liushang's hand tightly, and leaned her head weakly against the blankets. "Master, don't die."

"The day you become the King of Hell, you'll be able to control life and death."

Tan Huan trembled slightly, and a suffocating silence immediately descended upon them; neither of them spoke. Tan Huan clutched the blankets covering her and the body beneath her. "I'll immediately issue a challenge to Pei Gu Mo."

Pei Jin returned to the Pei family home alone. After he got home, Pei Gu Mo didn't ask him anything, and he didn't say anything either. He just sat quietly in the room, looking out the window, his thoughts wandering. He was even unaware that Shu Yun Yao was approaching.

"Brother Jin".

Pei Jin responded softly, "Mm."

"How is the Tang Clan doing?"

Pei Jin finally turned around and said calmly, "Nothing much."

Shu Yunyao hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Where is Tang Weiyu?"

"Dead."

Shu Yunyao's gaze was calm as she repeated meaninglessly, "Dead?"

"Um."

Shu Yunyao remained calm and composed, then a helpless smile appeared on her lips. "Finally dead."

Pei Jin turned to look at her.

Shu Yunyao smiled and said, "That way, my connection with the Tang Clan will be severed, and I'll be of no use to you anymore. Are you now thinking about how to get rid of me so you can be all lovey-dovey with your Tanhuan?"

Pei Jin raised an eyebrow slightly. "Do you think there's still a possibility between me and Tan Huan?"

Shu Yunyao shook her head. "What do you want me to say? If you go to Wu Tanhuan because of my encouragement, wouldn't I be ruining my own happiness?"

Pei Jin frowned. "Yun Yao, I don't like you, and it's impossible for us to be together."

Shu Yunyao smiled, saying nothing more, and turned to leave. "Where there's a will, there's a way. I'm a very patient person." Having gotten the answer she wanted, she walked step by step towards her room. Tang Weiyu was dead… the man who had ruined her life was finally dead, the man who had killed her entire family and taken her virginity was finally dead. Repeating his name over and over, Shu Yunyao suddenly felt a wave of weakness wash over her. She leaned softly against the wall behind her, gazing at the boundless sky. "It's good that he's dead, it's good that he's dead." Unfortunately, she could no longer smile. She hated him to death, but now that he was dead, she had no one to hate anymore, and suddenly felt a deep, empty emptiness in her heart.

A few days later, the Pei family received a challenge letter from Zhengyang Palace.

Baili Liushang has always been high-profile in his actions. When the Pei family received this news, all the major sects in the martial arts world also learned about it. Under the spotlight, Pei Gumo could not escape this time.

The sun was shining brightly and the weather was sunny.

Baili Liushang sat lazily in his wheelchair, pushed slowly by Tan Huan from behind. Pei Gumo's group was already standing in front of them. Tan Huan disliked this kind of display, but since it was his master's wish, he had no choice but to reluctantly comply. Tan Huan's challenge to Pei Gumo, a titan of the martial arts world, at such a young age was already shocking enough, but seeing the fiend Baili Liushang in a wheelchair left everyone speechless, causing a commotion around them. Tan Huan took three steps forward and dispelled everyone's doubts with a single sentence, "Master has already imparted all his power to me."

Pei Gumo looked at her.

Tan Huan looked back and asked, "Pei Gu Mo, do you accept the challenge?" She paused, and before Pei Gu Mo could answer, she continued, "I advise you not to accept. You will lose badly, and you will lose all face and dignity."

Pei Gu Mo laughed in anger, "What a big mouth you have."

"I only challenged you because I was confident. If I thought I would lose, why would I come?" Tan Huan retorted. Actually, she came because of her master, but she wanted to provoke Pei Gu Mo, so her demeanor became even more arrogant.

Pei Gumo was indeed furious, so furious he couldn't speak, yet he still had to maintain a composed and reserved demeanor. Tan Huan glanced lightly at Pei Jin standing behind him, sighed, and then smiled, "Pei Gumo, may I ask a question before the competition?"

"ask."

A flock of larks flew overhead, flapping their wings and soaring in neat formation in the blue sky.

In front of everyone, Tan Huan asked the question that had always been on his mind: "Why is Zhengyang Palace called a heretical sect?"

Baili Liushang squinted, and everyone else was taken aback.

Pei Gumo was the quickest to recover. He looked at her intently, but before he could speak, someone else interrupted, "Zhengyang Palace has killed countless people and has an improper lifestyle, which is why it is despised by the martial arts community."

Greedy smiled and said, "You've never killed anyone? You've never done anything wrong?"

Pei Gumo said, "Everyone makes mistakes. Some people admit their mistakes and correct them, while others are unrepentant. That's the difference. We won't kill innocent people indiscriminately, but what about you? What about Baili Liushang? What about Zhengyang Palace?"

Tan Huan said, "You admit your mistakes and correct them?" Many people know that she didn't kill the Wu family, but no one has spoken up for her. "Forget it, we have difficulty communicating. In my opinion, the difference between us is that we never cover up our bad deeds, but you never admit to your bad deeds, so many people think that you don't do bad things, while Zhengyang Palace acts recklessly."

"Nonsense."

Tan Huan shook her head and smiled wryly, drawing her Lonely Dust Sword. "Although I have other things to say, let's start with a duel." She said politely, "Please."

"please."

White clouds meandered across the sky, leaving strange, winding trails. The vibrant green grass swayed gently, full of life. Despite the beautiful weather, a sudden drizzle began, finely wetting people's eyelashes. Pei Gu Mo didn't dare blink, yet he still couldn't see how the unstoppable, thunderous sword strike had arrived before him. By the time he noticed, the silver light was already upon him. He hurriedly raised his sword to block, and with a clang...

The air froze instantly, the sword energy vibrated, and the leaves rustled.

The sword broke, and then, the Lonely Dust Sword was at Pei Gu Mo's neck.

The entire audience erupted in uproar.

Tan Huan laughed and said, "If Alliance Leader Pei feels that I have an advantage in terms of weapon, then we can have another competition. This time, you can have the Lone Dust Sword."

Although he had lost all face and substance, Pei Gumo still had the courage to admit defeat. Having lived so long, his skin had become thicker, so he simply said, "It's because I'm not as skilled as others."

"Hahahaha..." Baili Liushang laughed loudly, showing no mercy. Tan Huan felt that it would be more convincing to speak after demonstrating her strength, so after defeating Pei Gumo, she hesitated for a moment before deciding to speak. She was no longer fixated on the distinction between good and evil, but with her master's power gone, she couldn't be by his side at all times. If she were to be careless one day, given her master's popularity in the martial world, he could very well be accidentally killed.

"Everyone, please speak frankly. Has Zhengyang Palace ever done anything immoral or heinous?" Tan Huan looked around, and no one dared to answer her. She nodded in satisfaction and continued, "I swear here that we will not attack unless attacked. As long as you do not make a move against Zhengyang Palace, we will never launch an attack. Therefore, you do not need to regard us as enemies."

Tan Huan took a deep breath. "If anyone in Zhengyang Palace commits a crime, you can come to me for justice, but you are not allowed to take action." The Lonely Dust Sword reflected a dazzling light in the sunlight. "If anyone is dissatisfied, they can come and ask the Lonely Dust Sword in my hand."

From then on, his reputation for indulging in pleasure spread throughout the world.

It had snowed three times in a row recently, and the sky looked as if it had been washed clean, crystal clear. Since then, the sky hasn't cleared up, so piles of snow still accumulate along the roadside, and the ground is wet.

The small taverns along the street were doing brisk business. In the dead of winter, people from all walks of life liked to drink a few jugs of strong liquor in these taverns to warm themselves up. They sat close together, playing drinking games and chatting about the major events that had recently occurred in the martial arts world.

"Hey, have you heard? The Tang Clan is in a mess right now. It seems like they've been picked off by the Zhengyang Palace."

"Everyone knows about this. The whole martial arts world is in an uproar. It's said that it was done by one of Baili Liushang's female disciples. Tsk tsk, taking on the Tang Clan all by herself, she's really amazing."

"Haha, I know, it's Wu Tanhuan! The murderer who wiped out the Wu family! She was a great beauty!" Just as everyone was chatting excitedly, a handsome young nobleman who had been sitting in the corner approached with a wine jug in hand. With his dashing features, he interjected, "I can vouch for that, Wu Tanhuan was indeed a great beauty!"
