Chapitre 12

Jian Yunxian: "Really? That's really going too far."

Yi Heye looked completely bewildered: "What is it saying?"

Jian Yunxian: "It says it sneezes because someone is talking badly about it."

Yi Heye couldn't continue the conversation, so he could only hold the milk powder and hurry away.

Following Yi Heye back to the residential area, and into the dark garage on the fifth basement level, Jian Yunxian looked at Yi Heye, who was about to get on his motorcycle, and asked, "What are your plans now?"

Yi Heye stopped what he was doing, his crimson eyes coldly fixed on him, like two icy flames:

"I'm going to get revenge on the guy who framed me."

Yi Heye suddenly pulled a knife from his waist, twirled it skillfully in his hand, then pinched the tip of the knife and pressed the metal handle against Jian Yunxian's Adam's apple.

In that instant, their breaths intertwined, and the cool metallic texture moved between their temperatures, causing the atmosphere to subtly break down into a thin line.

Yi Heye stared intently into his eyes, the hilt of his knife moving from his Adam's apple to his brow: "I want to find out who fired that shot, and then return that bullet to them."

Jian Yunxian, whose hand was pressed against the hilt of a knife, did not speak, but merely smiled, his eyes revealing an undisguised expectation.

With a roar, the motorcycle sped out of the garage, skimming the ground, until it left Jian Yunxian and the silly sheep behind. Only then did Yi Heye activate Xiaoming's voice system.

As soon as he opened it, Yi Heye regretted it.

"Wild Treasure—" Xiao Ming's resentful voice rang out, "You've been hanging out with that handsome guy these past few days, you've been riding in his car!!"

Yi Heye reached out and helplessly scratched his bangs: "It was just yesterday."

After a long silence, he added, "We didn't fool around. We went to investigate a case together."

Then, after a ten-second silence, he realized what he meant and said, "...Don't call me Wild Treasure."

He's really something now, answering three questions for every one he asks, breaking Yi Heye's chat history.

He flew to the "Doomsday Wheel" amidst a roar—the place where the whole farce began.

The only advantage of this filthy and chaotic place is its poor management; people can come and go freely without Jian Yunxian's accompaniment or supervision.

It was a bright, sunny morning, when beautiful creatures were just waking up, while these creatures in the shadows were just falling asleep.

Ignoring the "Closed" sign, Yi Heye slammed open the tightly closed door.

The boss was wiping the table when he looked up and was startled to see a streak of crimson light flash from the bionic leg.

Seeing that the person in front of him was aggressive and hostile, the boss quickly grabbed the mop and stuck it back against the wall. Meanwhile, three or five security robot guards bravely stepped forward and surrounded Yi Heye.

Yi Heye kicked away someone who tried to grab his gun, pulled up a chair for himself, and sat down in front of the boss with a thud, crossing his legs: "Did you find anything?"

Not long after the police came to see him, Yi Heye called his boss and urged him to investigate the source of the "silver key"—he chose to prioritize investigating the case and only came to confront him the next day, which could be considered a reluctant act of trust given out of consideration for their many years of friendship.

Sweat beaded on the boss's forehead: "Cheetah, you know, in our line of work, transactions are all about double-blind..."

Yi Heye frowned, reached behind his waist and pulled out a silver key, twirled it on his finger, and with a "click," pointed it at the boss's knee: "I remember you also said that you got it by mentioning my name."

The boss immediately panicked: "Yes..."

Yi Heye tilted his head and gently tapped the metal fake knee with the muzzle of his gun.

He didn't say another word, but every clatter of gun barrels against metal felt like a bullet aimed at the boss's heart, making him panic as if he were about to die at any moment.

The boss took a deep breath: "I really..."

Seeing that he was still trying to argue, Yi Heye raised his eyebrows and dragged the chair to the boss's side.

He put his arm around the boss's shoulder and whispered in his ear with a rather imposing air:

"I bet not many people around you know that you've been an AI for five years, right?"

The boss's previously calm face instantly turned pale.

Yi Heye raised his lips, but his eyes were filled with a chilling coldness: "This body should have died in the car accident five years ago. You are just an AI that has undergone data reconstruction, aren't you?"

The boss's lips parted slightly, as if he wanted to ask something, but he couldn't utter a single word.

"Don't worry, no one told me. It's just that you didn't hide it well enough and I found out."

Yi Heye's bloodshot eyes stared at him, as if they held a quenched knife, capable of ripping out blood from a person's heart.

"I just want to tell you, don't lie to me, you won't like the consequences."

This one sentence completely broke down the boss's defenses.

Before Yi Heye lay a string of encrypted private information, its contents simple and straightforward, practically teaching his boss how to frame someone.

Yi Heye calmly read through the entire content, scrolling down continuously—

A little lamb perched in the signature area, and the moment Yi Heye looked at him, it chuckled again.

"You found out!"

Because there simply aren't any piglets that fat.

Chapter 12, number 012

Yi Heye stared blankly at the sheep-like face, miraculously remaining completely unmoved.

The sheep did indeed bring about a great change in him, such as removing his quills and smoothing out his rough edges.

Yi Heye looked up, first dismissing the boss, before asking, "Did you kill him?"

The little lamb propped its head up and leaned in front of the screen, its round eyes staring at him: "I had someone fire that shot for me."

That's like saying nothing at all—the forensic experts had already confirmed that the shooting occurred after death, and laws from eight hundred years ago stated that shooting a dead person was not illegal.

Yi Heye: "Did you know that interfering with law enforcement can also lead to imprisonment?"

“Spying on classified information and impersonating police officers are also illegal.” Little Sheep laughed. “Maybe we can even become cellmates.”

Yi Heye was losing his patience: "Did you kill him or not?"

The little lamb rubbed its two horns and rolled over, looking round and chubby. "Why don't you keep checking? What if it's me?"

Yi Heye took a deep breath, struggling to resist smashing his phone, and asked through gritted teeth, "Why are you trying to smear me?"

“Because—I really like you.” The little lamb smiled and drew a big heart for him on the screen. “I want to play fun games with you.”

Yi Heye felt as if the veins on his forehead were about to burst.

Who the hell wants to play games with you?

"I thought you would understand me very well," the lamb laughed. "I want to get closer to you, just like you often can't help but peek at me."

Then, her round eyes suddenly looked at Yi Heye, dark and piercing, as if they had burned two holes in his heart:

"Isn't that right, sir?"

Yi Heye felt a sudden unease under his gaze, and before he could react, the little lamb wiggled its bottom and disappeared from the screen.

Yi Heye stared at the empty screen for a long time, until his hand holding the communicator ached, before he finally came to his senses.

My whole body felt like it was on fire, burning with shame—

"Peeping at him" seems to refer to his involvement in the online forum, or it seems to imply that he spied on Jian Yunxian changing clothes last night. But regardless of whether SHEEP and Jian Yunxian are the same person, and regardless of which matter he is referring to, this sentence is enough to send Yi Heye to his death row.

Yi Heye was furious—killing the sheep to cover his tracks was an urgent matter.

He rode his motorcycle around aimlessly, letting his ear piercings throb with pain, indulging in a state of clear-headed excitement amidst the pain.

Yi Heye is now gradually accepting the fact that he might be a pervert. He even wants to take some time to get a few more ear piercings or a tattoo to stimulate himself, which is somewhat like a "what's the use" attitude.

His head was buzzing as he wandered through the streets and alleys of District D. Unlike the dazzling lights that were nauseating, the sky here was always gray. Countless large factories that had sprung up here were sending pollution into the sky day and night, making blue skies an extremely rare luxury.

He roared through a street, and the curtain of a shabby arcade was lifted by his wind, revealing a few old, secondhand game machines placed at the entrance.

Yi Heye slammed on the brakes and stopped the motorcycle on the side of the road. He propped himself up on one leg and stared blankly at the two young men playing games in front of the gate.

"Wild treasure? Wild treasure!"

Just as he snapped out of his reverie, Xiao Ming's voice squeezed in: "New information!"

Yi Heye frowned, swiped open the panel, and SHEEP pushed a contact to him.

It's Chen Sike.

Yi Heye's eyelids twitched. He felt that this guy was a bit outrageous, as if he could see through his thoughts and always pave the way for him one step ahead.

This saved him a lot of trouble, but it also annoyed him—could this artificial intelligence have become so advanced that it can read minds?!

He stared at Chen Sike's contact information for a long time, then, remembering the fear on the child's face, reluctantly withdrew his hand.

After struggling with this for a long time, Yi Heye finally swallowed his pride and forwarded his contact information to Jian Yunxian.

He comforted himself, not because Jian Yunxian was better at communication than him, but because he was afraid the police would find out and cause him trouble.

Although there were no further words, the other end quickly understood his meaning and replied instantly, "Okay."

Yi Heye stared nervously at the screen for a long time, but after waiting for a long time without hearing the next sentence, he suspiciously put away the communicator.

He felt like he was sick; before Jian Yunxian could even utter a few sarcastic remarks about him, he suddenly felt utterly bored.

Something's wrong with me. Yi Heye cursed himself.

The only thing that satisfied Yi Heye about Jian Yunxian and SHEEP was their clean and decisive work efficiency.

As soon as Yi Heye got home, Jian Yunxian sent feedback—Chen Sike was willing to chat with him remotely and introduce him to the game through screen sharing.

Chen Sike remained unsuspecting towards them, and Yi Heye confirmed that the cop had been to the child's home—it seemed that not only did he not intend to hold them accountable, but he also tacitly allowed them to continue their investigation.

When the connection was established, Jian Yunxian and Chen Sike were chatting.

Chen Sike: "Is it really related to games...?"

“We can’t draw any conclusions without going to take a look,” Jian Yunxian said patiently. “That’s why we wanted your help.”

When this person spoke to others, his patient manner resembled that of a kind and gentle teacher, which made Yi Heye feel extremely strange.

This time, in order to avoid putting pressure on Chen Sike, Yi Heye adopted the method of secretly listening in—this act of hiding behind the screen and watching secretly inevitably reminded him of the embarrassing situation he had in the previous night.
