Master Xia couldn't keep up with this woman's leaps of thought for a moment and asked in a daze, "You mean Tan Shiyao?"

"You bastard!" Upon hearing the name of that annoying woman, Yun Chan, hating her so much that she moved a few steps further away from him.

Xia Yi was bewildered by the scolding and was about to argue back without thinking twice when a gentle, husky voice suddenly rang out behind them—"It seems she really dislikes you."

They were still taken back.

Hearing the sound behind them, Xia Yi and Yun Chan immediately turned around.

Lou Lou had caught up unnoticed and stood a few feet away from the two, facing the wind. His beard was still disheveled, but his expression was relaxed. He slowly extended his hand towards them: "Since she hates you so much, then..."

Give it back to me.

What do you mean by "give it back to him"? You're talking as if Xiao Chan belongs to him.

Xia Yi's eyes turned cold. She pulled Yun Chan behind her and asked him casually, "Where are Qing Qi and Qing Zhu?"

"You mean those two men in blue? They're not quite dead yet." Lou Lou smiled at him. "I underestimated you at first, but you underestimated me too. Do you think those two can stop me?"

Xia Yi nonchalantly drew her sword: "You'll regret this later. It would be better to die by their hands than by mine."

Is this guy really a righteous person? Lou Lou was somewhat surprised: "He doesn't care about his subordinates at all? If you go there now, they might still be saved."

"Xia Ming Manor has no need for trash." Xia Yi said coldly, his flamboyant red robe flying up rapidly, and the sword in his hand thrust out like lightning.

Lou Lou immediately spun around to dodge, then swung his sword at him. On the dark and deserted street, two figures, one in red and one in gray, instantly became entangled in a fierce battle, like ghosts fighting.

Yun Chan, heartless as ever, had already turned around and started looking around, calculating her escape route. Suddenly, she saw an old man and a woman emerge from the street corner, seemingly having heard the commotion and come running.

"Master Xia?" The old man was surprised to see Xia Yi and immediately went to help without thinking.

Yun Chan stared intently at the two people who had suddenly appeared, and her expression immediately turned somewhat unpleasant. She recognized them; the old man was Tan Ying, the leader of the Yuanqing Sect, and the woman was none other than his youngest daughter, Tan Shiyao, known in the martial arts world as the Fairy Hibiscus.

Noticing someone watching her, Tan Shiyao's beautiful eyes also swept towards Yun Chan.

Uh… she’s really ugly. Tan Shiyao only glanced at her before quickly turning away, not recognizing Yun Chan. She glanced at the situation in the battle circle and quickly drew her sword to help.

Yun Chan clearly saw the disdain in Tan Meinu's eyes when she looked at her, and immediately became displeased.

Hmph, you guys fight it out, I'm running away.

The Qingqi and Qingzhu, who aren't quite dead yet, are probably still suffering in the Wan Hua Lou. Those two are truly pitiful, having to deal with a master like Xia Yi.

Yun Chan thought for a moment, then turned and walked towards the Wan Hua Lou (Ten Thousand Flowers Pavilion). But she had only taken two steps when a cold rope suddenly wrapped around her waist. Before she could even be surprised, she was pulled into someone's arms. Yun Chan, her body restrained, remained silent.

Mo glanced upwards out of the corner of his eye and saw a face covered in a messy beard, and immediately felt a pang of misery.

Damn Xia Yi, she was so arrogant just now, how come she still ended up back in Lou Lou's hands in the end!

Lou Lou tightened the rope, her tone slightly reproachful: "You've been naughty again. How could you try to sneak away by yourself?"

"Ice silkworm silk?!" The old man was somewhat shocked upon seeing the rope. "Who are you?"

Lou Lou didn't answer him, but instead held the knife to Yun Chan's neck: "Still want to fight?"

Tan Shiyao immediately became indignant: "To hold a woman hostage, how shameless!"

Lou Lou hugged Yun Chan tightly, then clung to her, taunting her with glee, "I'm shameless only with her, are you jealous?"

Uh, Tan Shiyao looked at the pockmarks on Yun Chan's face and suddenly didn't know where to begin refuting her.

The crimson brocade robe fluttered wildly in the night wind. Xia Yi wore an arrogant smile, but her beautiful peach blossom eyes were extremely gloomy: "Let her go, and I can let you die a quicker death!"

"That line sounds so familiar," Yun Chan thought, speechless with emotion. "Why is it that at times like this, you all like to intimidate the hostage-taker? Do you want the hostage to die even faster?"

Lou Lou chuckled, completely unconcerned. With a flick of his sleeve, a cloud of white powder instantly filled the air.

"Be careful, it's poisonous." Master Tan quickly pulled his daughter back.

The next moment, the shimmering silver silkworm threads snatched the sword from Xia Yi's hand, causing it to fall to the ground. Lou Lou picked up Yun Chan and vanished from everyone's sight in an instant, leaving the street desolate. A moment later, Qing Qi, covered in blood, appeared, dragging the unconscious Qing Zhu.

At the street corner, he staggered to Xia Yi's side and knelt heavily to beg for forgiveness: "Your subordinate deserves to die."

Xia Yi's face was shrouded in gloom, and she sneered, "You deserve to die, each of you has cut off an arm."

Although Xiaming Manor is the head of the righteous sects in the martial arts world, there have always been rumors that the young master of the manor is ruthless.

Tan Ying, the head of the Yuanqing Sect, frowned upon hearing this. A kind-hearted man, he couldn't help but advise, seeing the two seriously injured men on the ground, "Master Xia, please don't be angry. This is Mo Ge's territory; we shouldn't linger. My Yuanqing Sect isn't far from here. Perhaps we should take them with us first..."

"These two chivalrous men from your esteemed estate have come to my residence to heal their wounds, so we can discuss things further later." Tan Ying was actually unaware of the whole story. He had only helped Xia Yi because he believed that the number one estate in the world was righteous, and that Xia Yi's opponent must be evil.

Tan Shiyao also said, "Yes, Brother Xia, no matter what that person's background is, he will not escape the grasp of the righteous path of the martial arts world sooner or later. Let's go back with us first."

A slight breeze carried away some of the fierceness emanating from Xia Yi. After a long while, the red-clad man's expression finally softened: "In that case, I will trouble Sect Leader Tan."

Lou Lou led Yun Chan to a dilapidated temple, threw her to the ground, and then, unsteady on his feet, sat down cross-legged on the ground.

Yun Chan was thrown to the ground. She glanced at him and saw that the bruises on his neck had deepened and his face was as pale as a dead man. She immediately had a wicked thought again and bent over to run away.

A large hand quickly pulled her back. Lou Lou held her tightly in his arms, and with a gentle push, her arm dislocated.

Yun Chan's face immediately turned as white as a dead person.

Lou Lou's tone was so gentle it was almost drowning her: "Look at you, you're always so naughty. People say that once the wound heals, you forget the pain, but your wound hasn't even healed yet, so why don't you learn your lesson?"

Yun Chan was in so much pain that her eyes were filled with tears, and she cursed the pervert in front of her in her heart.

He pulled her arm hard again, and Yun Chan finally couldn't bear the pain anymore, letting out a howl and tears streaming down her face.

"Didn't I tell you, next time you're cursing me in your heart, don't show that cannibalistic look?" Lou Lou sighed, thinking that there was no hope for her, and forcefully reattached her arm, causing Yun Chan's arm to twitch in pain again.

"You beast, you're not human!" Miss Yun finally couldn't bear the humiliation any longer. "What did you do to the Azure Qilin and Azure Spider?!"

"You still have the leisure to care about other people? It seems that the masters of those two don't care much about their lives." Lou Lou leaned against the wall and sighed, with dark red bloodstains faintly visible on his chest.

"Are you injured?"

“Yes.” He nodded nonchalantly, then added after a moment’s thought, “But don’t worry, this little injury won’t stop me from breaking your hand and then your foot.”

"..."

Just one glance from his gaze and Yun Chan felt pain in her hands and feet, and her arrogance immediately vanished.

He threw a box of medicine at her and ordered, "Apply this medicine to me."

The box he threw was the same wound medicine Xia Yi had given Yun Chan to treat her whip wounds. Later, he kidnapped her, and this shameless guy kept the medicine for himself. Yun Chan picked up the medicine box, her face full of indignation.

Lou Lou saw that she didn't move and immediately became unhappy: "You heartless woman, I've helped you apply the medicine so many times, and now you won't even help me once?"

Why are the culprits able to be more self-righteous than the victims?

Knowing that she couldn't beat him or escape, Yun Chan had no choice but to scoop out most of the ointment from the medicine box, then peel off his clothes and slap his wound hard in a fit of anger.

Lou Lou was stunned.

Such extravagance! This woman truly has no idea how precious the Amethyst Jade Cream is; she's treating it like a cheap wound dressing. But seeing her disregard for Xia Yi's things, he felt an inexplicable satisfaction, and his pale face began to regain its color.

It had a touch of blood on it.

He rested his chin on his hand, watching Yun Chan wrap his wound with strips of cloth, and said in a good mood, "That Xia Yi just now, his strength was clearly no less than mine. But after that old man and that woman arrived, he held back a bit. He didn't even chase after me when I took you away."

"It seems he doesn't really want to save you either."

Yun Chan didn't answer; the strips of cloth in her hands were tangled and rather abstract.

Seeing that she ignored him, Lou Lou pressed on, "Oh, I know. He must have seen that Miss Tan and his heart was fluttering, so he couldn't care less about you."

Yun Chan suddenly tightened the cloth strip and tied it into a tight knot, her tone somewhat fierce: "You villain, you know quite a few people, even the apple of the eye of Sect Leader Tan of the Yuanqing Sect."

"I've heard of the Fairy Hibiscus before." Lou Lou smiled broadly. "She is graceful and charming, and does indeed have the beauty of a hibiscus. No wonder Master Xia is so interested in her."

Yun Chan glanced at him: "My relationship with the man surnamed Xia has never been good, you don't need to sow discord." She put away the medicine box, wiped her hands and said, "Here, the wound is bandaged."

Hearing this, he lowered his head, looked at the artistically wrapped strip of cloth, and suddenly fell silent for a long time.

The night was chilly, and the cracks in the doors and windows of the dilapidated temple offered no protection from the cold outside.

Late at night, Yun Chan lay curled up on the floor, her pale, disguised face flushed with an unnatural redness. Lou Lou frowned, then expertly pulled her into his arms. Noticing her burning fever, the man's brow furrowed involuntarily.

The wrinkles deepened.

Yun Chan felt as if she were being roasted in a fire; she was burning up and delirious, muttering in her sleep, "Mother, Xiao Chan wants to eat chilled pears..."

In her dazed state, it seemed as if someone pried open her mouth, and soon cool water was poured down her throat. Yun Chan murmured contentedly, "Mother is so good."

Something cool and damp covered her forehead, which made her feel much better. She shifted her body and leaned against a warm cushion, falling into a deeper sleep.

The moon rose and set, and soon another day dawned. Having sweated all night, the heat had subsided, and Yun Chan woke up feeling refreshed. Then, she was astonished to discover that the warm "cushion" from the previous night was actually Lou Lou's embrace?!

Seeing this, Miss Yun's face, which had finally cooled down, suddenly became burning hot again.

“You lecher! You beast!” she cursed.

"Ungrateful wretch!" he cursed, while also taking a hold of her fingers.

Yun Chan immediately shrank back without any backbone: "I was wrong."

He touched her forehead with satisfaction, then suddenly asked out of the blue, "Your family treats you very well?"

Yun Chan was a little confused by the question: "Of course it's good, otherwise why would I call my family?"

"You two have a good relationship, don't you?"

"Uh...it is very good." Yun Chan's heart began to tremble again. "Why are you asking this?"

"It's nothing." He rubbed the shoulder that she had leaned on all night, then reached out and pulled her up. "Let's go, help me finish things today, and I'll take you home tomorrow."

He would be so kind as to take her home? Yun Chan immediately looked up at him, her face full of disbelief.
