Lin Ge was happy to answer these questions, and said with a teasing tone, "It won't be anything serious, just a broken arm or leg."

Everyone gasped in shock and fell silent, their eyes fixed regretfully on their prey.

The man standing in the glass room remained expressionless. After hearing no one bid, he raised his hand and said in a clear voice, "Bidding successful. Earl Linger, please wait a moment."

After hearing what the man had said, Ling stood up from the stool, looked at Isri and said softly, "The performance is over. We'll meet again sometime."

Isri looked up at Linger, got up and was about to leave when he suddenly heard Linger speak again: "Remember to bring your lovely little master next time."

A look of disgust flashed across Isri's eyes. Without turning back to say anything to Ling, he turned and walked out the door.

He will never come back to this place again.

When I went outside, it had started to drizzle, but the flower street was still packed with people, seemingly unaffected by the rain.

Isri, holding an umbrella, hurried to get out of there. On the only way out, a woman suddenly appeared in front of him, wearing strong perfume, and tried to lean against Isri.

"Get out of here!" Isri's voice was cold, his eyes filled with visible anger.

The woman seemed to be startled, frozen in place, staring intently as Isri walked out of the street corner.

"Fine, don't play then! Why are you yelling at me?" the woman said, her voice trembling with grievance.

Once outside the red-light district, the rain seemed to have intensified, and Isriel's heart began to pound. Cecil was terrified of this kind of weather, and he had to get back as soon as possible.

Chapter Forty-Two

Looking at the completely dark sky outside, Isri's irritability increased even more.

How long exactly did I stay inside?

Just a few minutes after I left, the rain poured down relentlessly, and shopkeepers hurriedly moved their goods from in front of their shops inside. In a few seconds, the street was completely empty.

Islam walked very fast, his trousers were soaked through. Not only that, thunder rumbled in the distance, followed by a series of lightning bolts.

Islam paused for a second, then started running, his anxiety and panic rising within him.

——

Sesil was startled awake. The moment he opened his eyes, the pitch-black room was instantly illuminated by lightning. Through the transparent window, the wind rustled through the trees outside, as if playing a concerto of hell.

With a loud "bang!", it sounded as if something had collapsed outside the room.

Sehir stared wide-eyed at the tightly shut door, his heart pounding wildly inside as if it were about to explode.

The lightning and thunder grew louder in his ears, and Cecil was so cold that only his breath was warm.

“Isri!” Sehir called out, his voice trembling slightly.

No reply.

Sehir clutched his blanket tightly, watching the light and shadows flashing through the crack in the door, his voice trembling even more violently: "Isri!"

There has still been no reply.

Fear instantly took over his mind. Sesil gritted his teeth and the next second he huddled under the covers, pulling his head tightly over his shoulder.

Sehir dared not close his eyes, he could only keep them wide open, he was afraid, he was afraid that if he closed his eyes he would never be able to open them again.

——

It was a rainy night when a stunning crimson figure fell before me, staring at me with wide eyes. The crimson figure seemed to erase my mind of her image, leaving only her delicate and soft voice in my ears.

"Sehir, my child, live on."

"Sehir, my child, please, you must live."

Sehir grabbed his hair, the memory flooding his mind, the disgusting yet unforgettable blood filling his nasal cavity.

He couldn't remember anything; his memory was completely locked in a cage. He couldn't even recall the simplest thing: what the other person looked like.

All I could think about was the endless blood and the nauseating corpses scattered all over the ground.

"Bang!"

With another sound, another thing outside fell over. It was as if it were right next to my ear; it was as if I could just pull down the blanket and grab something right in front of me.

Sehir trembled violently, tears welling up in his eyes, and even with his eyes wide open, tears still managed to squeeze out from under his eyes.

“Isri…Isri…” Sehir called out weakly.

At this moment, he actually wanted Isri to be by his side, even the fierce Isri, as long as he was by his side.

Thunder rumbled incessantly in the empty room, and Cecil's voice sounded incredibly weak, as if a feather had merely brushed against one's heart.

“I was wrong…Isri…come back.”

Sehir's eyes were sore from keeping them open, but he dared not close them. His fingertips were so cold that he had no feeling in them, and the nausea in his throat felt like it could burst out of his stomach at any moment.

As if the devil was against Sesil, the more Sesil feared, the stronger the thunder and lightning outside became, as if they wanted to explode right in front of Sesil.

Tired, Sesil could only lower his hands and cover his ears tightly, hoping the sound would weaken, but it had no effect whatsoever.

Even though he could reach out and touch the light, Cecil didn't dare to stretch out his hand; it seemed to have become his shadow.

The mind has almost come to believe that if you reach out your hand, someone will definitely grab you and kill you.

The bed was already large, and Cecil curled himself up into a ball, so if you didn't look closely, you'd think it was just a blanket rolled up in a ball on the bed.

Isri ran the rest of the way back, and was almost soaked. When he got back to the door, he took off his coat and other clothes and ran straight to Ceshir's room.

He had never been so panicked before. He knew that Cecil was afraid of this kind of weather; even when he was right next to him, Cecil would feel freezing cold.

Now, he was all alone, and Isri couldn't imagine what Sehir was like now.

When I got to the door, I found that the nearby window was not closed, and the flower pots that had been blown over by the wind were stuck to the carpet with soil mixed in.

Isri calmed his breathing for a few seconds before gently pushing open the door and going inside.

The room was pitch black, illuminated only by the constant flashes of lightning outside. Isri walked to the bedside and gently pressed the button on the bedside table.

A warm yellow light seemed to be the only thing to rely on in the darkness. A hint of apology flashed in Isri's eyes as he slowly opened his mouth.

"Young Master, I'm back."

The gentle and calm voice struck Sehir's heart like a hammer blow. The next second, Sehir rushed out of bed, turned around, and hugged Isri.

Although some parts of Isri were still wet, he didn't care; all he wanted now was for someone to be by his side.

Isri raised his hand and gently stroked Sehir's back. He was very thin, and you could clearly feel his spine with just a light touch.

For some reason, Isri felt a pang of heartache. The trembling body held him tightly, as if blaming him, yet also as if relying on him.

"Young master, don't be afraid, I'm back."

Isri gently bent down and pulled the blanket up to cover Sehir's shoulders, finally easing his trembling body.

Sehir gripped Isri's shirt tightly, burying his head in the crook of Isri's neck.

"Let me wait a moment..." Sehir's voice was very soft, and a breath of hot air sprayed onto Isri's cold skin, causing Isri's whole body to tremble almost imperceptibly.

Islam paused, raised his hand slightly, and stroked the back of Ceshir's neck, softening his voice.

"Yes, young master."

Isri stood there, letting Sehir hold him like that, but after a while, Isri became worried that Sehir would catch a cold, since he himself was still wet.

"Young master, I'm still wet. Please let go of me so I can change my clothes." As he spoke, Isri tried to pull Cesil off him.

"Don't go," Cesil gripped Isri tighter, pulling his head away from Isri's neck and looking at Isri with bloodshot eyes: "Stay with me for a while."

Chapter Forty-Three

Tears clung to the corners of her eyes, her reddened eyes carrying a hint of grievance, and her deep blue eyes seemed somewhat lifeless.

Her pure, watery eyes stared at him without any guard up. Isri narrowed his eyes slightly and looked down at Ceshir.

He tried to keep his voice as steady as possible: "I won't leave, young master, please let me go first."

Isri's words had an effect. Ceshir only thought for a second or two before letting go of Isri's arm and standing quietly on the bed, staring blankly at Isri.

Seeing the stunned and bewildered Sehir, Isri had no choice but to roll up his sleeves, walk over to Sehir, pick him up, and put him back on the bed.

Sehir, like a little wooden doll, was positioned by Isri and lay back in his den.

Isri turned around and picked up the stool that was placed to the side, and sat down next to Ceshir, with Ceshir holding one of his fingers tightly.

Sure enough, it was still cold. Isri's eyes showed pity as he bent down and brushed the hair from Cesil's forehead.

"Good night, young master."

Sehir stared at Isri with his eyes still open, and after a long while, he finally opened his mouth and asked, "Where did you go?"

Isri was taken aback for a moment, then opened his mouth and said, "Going out to run errands."

“This is the first time you’ve lied to me,” Sehir said calmly, his gaze never leaving Isri’s face.

Isri couldn't speak, and could only let Cesil continue, "Your perfume is too strong."

"I'm sorry, young master," Isri frowned, looking at his wrinkled shirt and feeling a wave of nausea.

“You’re going there to do…” Cecil seemed to remember something, paused for a moment and said, “Never mind, just remember to tell me next time you go.”

Isri's fingertips trembled slightly, and his tone seemed somewhat anxious: "No, you've misunderstood."

"What else could you be doing there? Studying, perhaps?" Sehir hit the nail on the head.

Although he didn't know much about this, he could still distinguish the simplest differences.

Isri grabbed Cesil's hand in return, his brow furrowing almost imperceptibly: "Young Master, I..."

But then he suddenly froze, unsure how to explain to Cecil that he had gone to study, but his mind was still filled with Cecil himself, and he simply couldn't say it out loud.

Sehir exhaled, feeling as if something was pressing down on his chest, making it hard to breathe. He glanced at Isri before slowly speaking.

"Although I really want you to leave the room right now, I'll leave it at that. You can stay here for the night."

Isri could clearly hear a sense of indifference mixed with a hint of dejection in Ceshir's tone, but he dared not dwell on it and could only respond softly to Ceshir's words.

"Yes, young master, I will stay here with you until dawn."

Sehir glanced at Isri quietly, seemingly hesitating for a long time, before slowly closing his eyes.

Ultimately, their identities are worlds apart. Isri has his own life, which is beyond his control. He will have someone he likes, and eventually, he will even have his own family.
