Kiyomi Tsuki y su zorro - Capítulo 2

Capítulo 2

She slowly opened her eyes, and the room looked perfectly normal.

"It really was there just now, I didn't see wrong, it scared me to death." With great difficulty, she managed to get up from the ground, and she firmly refused to do anything alone.

“Alright.” Kiyohiko sighed. “Let’s analyze what exactly happened.”

The three of them sat down around the table.

"Would you like some candles?" Rui'er couldn't resist a joke.

"Stop, stop messing around." Vivi could barely speak.

“Okay, now there are two possibilities. First, it’s a hallucination. But it seems unlikely that all three people would be hallucinating at the same time. Wei is one thing, but Rui and D have no connection, which means: there really is a ghost,” Qingyan concluded.

Even Ruier was a little scared at this point.

"That's the second possibility: ghosts. But why did they appear, and on the same day? Could it be a joke because it's Christmas? Now let's look at the time when these strange things happened."

“D is the earliest, midnight, Rui’er is at four o’clock, just now it was one-thirty, hmm…” Qingyan thought as he drew on the paper.

“That’s how it is,” she muttered to herself.

"What? What?" Ruier and Weiwei came over together.

“These three events happened precisely during the three hours of the night, morning, and evening.”

Is there anything special about these three hours?

"In religion, these four hours are specifically for worship."

Four?

"Yes, there's still one hour left, from 5 to 7. If it's really because today is Christmas that ghosts, or supernatural things, appear during these four hours, then there will be another one tonight."

"Huh?!" Vivi looked terrified.

"Don't be afraid, you've all seen them. Even if there are more, it should be my turn by now," Kiyohiko said with a smile.

...

Evening will come soon.

"Could I have made a mistake? Or is it really just their hallucination?" Kiyohiko wondered as he walked into the living room. It was almost seven o'clock.

Rui'er sat at her desk reading a book.

"It seems I was mistaken; nothing happened," she said.

The person at the desk turned around.

"Alice! It's you?" Kiyohiko exclaimed in surprise.

"What is it?" She turned around, and Rui'er and Weiwei ran in from outside. Instantly, a thought flashed through her mind, and she quickly turned her head again, but the person in front of the desk was gone.

“I was right, it’s all over now,” she told them.

That night, the three of them squeezed into the bed and sighed.

"What a terrible Christmas," Vivi sighed.

"There's something I forgot." Kiyohiko jumped out of bed and took something out of his bag.

"It's a Christmas present from Doreen!"

"Quickly open it and see what it is!"

Wow! The three of them screamed and jumped off the bed together.

A small skull pops out of the box; a spring is attached underneath.

"I was right, a spooky Christmas indeed!"

After a day of fright, Vivi and Ruier had fallen asleep, but Qingyan remained wide awake.

“What Vivi and D saw wasn’t a physical entity, and what Rui’er saw was a deceased person, which means… Ke’ai Liz? Could it be that she also… No, no, she must still be alive and well, she must be.”

Reply [6]: Christmas has passed, but the story is not over.

When Qingyan came home from working overtime on Sunday, the day of the final exams, only Ruier was watching TV at home.

"Where did Wei go again?"

"Studying for the final exams at school."

"Will she be able to study well at school?"

"It's just an excuse to go out and have fun with his friends," Rui'er said, her eyes glued to the TV.

"Hey! Look! Someone jumped off a building at our school!" A news report caught her attention.

"I saw her at work this morning. She was a ninth-grade girl who died after being taken to the hospital. It's so pitiful. What could have driven her to such despair?" Qingyan said with a deeply sympathetic expression. "If only Xiaoshan were still at school."

"What do you mean?" Rui'er changed the subject.

"Didn't she have a glorious history of preventing suicides in junior high school? She can stop one again." Kiyohiko always spoke of her with a mocking tone.

The phone rang, and Ruier answered it casually: "Speak of the devil, and he appears! Xiaoshan is looking for you!" She shoved the receiver into Qingyan's hands with a gleeful grin.

"Xiaoshan? Why did you suddenly think of contacting me? Going to visit your sick teacher tomorrow? No way. This is a great opportunity for your ruling party to show off. I'm from the opposition, I should be undermining them or something. Ha... alright, alright, what time? Hmm, that's all, goodbye." She wouldn't miss any opportunity to mock Xiaoshan.

"Hey! Mrs. F is sick and hospitalized. Class Monitor Tang is calling on everyone to go see her. Are you going?" she asked Ruier.

"I'm not going!" Rui'er was one of the most unruly students under Madam F. She had been repeatedly taught a lesson in the past and had an irreconcilable hatred for Madam F.

"Go ahead, go ahead. Probably most people will go. Xiaoshan can speak vaguely; this is the first time I've encountered such a thing."

"What's the meaning?"

"Judging from her tone, Mrs. F's hospitalization may be related to that girl who jumped off the building!"

"See, she messed things up. I knew this would happen to her."

"So, let's go see her." In the end, the two decided to be generous and bring flowers to the hospital.

As Kiyohiko had expected, two-thirds of the class had indeed arrived, crowding the room. Mrs. F lay on the bed, barely breathing, with no close relatives by her side (she had dedicated herself to the sacred cause of education and remained unmarried to this day), which gave the scene a rather tragic feel.

Qingyan couldn't stand this kind of scene. After offering a few words of comfort, he pulled the deputy squad leader, Luoluo, aside, frowned, and whispered, "How did it get so bad? What illness is it?"

“I’m not sick!” Luo Luo’s words were surprising.

"Not sick?! Then what's going on? Is it haunted?"

"That's right, guess what happened?"

"Is it related to that girl who jumped off the building?" Kiyohiko hit the nail on the head.

"Come on, let's talk in the garden." Luo Luo pulled Qing Yan downstairs.

Two weeks ago, during the mock exam for the ninth grade, Mrs. F worked overtime at school grading papers on Saturday and Sunday. The foreign language scores of the ninth class she taught were quite good, with only one or two students performing slightly worse, one of whom was a girl nicknamed "Little Cabbage".

Little Cabbage and her mother were abandoned by their father, and the two struggled to make ends meet. She was honest by nature and studied fairly hard, but her natural talent was average, so she always hovered in the middle of the class. Other teachers sympathized with her experience and usually did not criticize her harshly, but Mrs. F never had such thoughts.

Strictly speaking, Xiaobaicai had put in a lot of effort before this mock exam, and even her weakest subject, foreign language, had improved. However, she was still far from meeting Mrs. F's standard of excellence. After reviewing several excellent scores, Mrs. F saw this test paper riddled with errors and couldn't help but feel angry.

Upon seeing that it was Xiaobaicai's (Little Cabbage's) work, F, already prejudiced, showed no mercy. Later, even the proofreading teachers felt her standards were too harsh and suggested relaxing them. However, Mrs. F always ruled with a single voice, and Xiaobaicai was under her control, so no amount of persuasion from others mattered. Xiaobaicai's final score was 57. Although her foreign language score dragged down her overall score considerably, Xiaobaicai's total score was still acceptable. If she could maintain it in the high school entrance exam, getting into the teacher's college that she and her mother desired wouldn't be a problem. But Mrs. F used the foreign language score as a pretext to summon her mother to the school and give her a thorough dressing-down.

According to her, even if Xiaobaicai applied to a third-rate school, she would be rejected. Even the teacher next to her shook her head and left, but how could Bai's mother know that Mrs. F's words were exaggerated? Naturally, she regarded the teacher's words as gospel truth and couldn't bear to scold her daughter when she got home, only shedding tears alone all night. But Xiaobaicai saw it all and naturally guessed what was going on.

The next day at school, during the usual morning exercises, Xiaobaicai asked the class monitor for leave, saying she wasn't feeling well. The class monitor didn't mind and let her rest in the classroom.

The morning exercise ended with arms raised and heads tilted upwards. As everyone looked up at the sky, a figure fell from the fifth floor, instantly turning the ground crimson. By the time the panicked teacher rushed over, they discovered that the person who had fallen was Xiaobaicai. About ten minutes later, the ambulance arrived, but she had already stopped breathing. Her last words were: "Why didn't you give me a pass?"

Apart from that, there was not a single word.

Upon receiving the news, Bai's mother immediately suffered a mental breakdown and was sent to the hospital, causing widespread regret and sorrow throughout the school. Although Mrs. F did not comment, if she were a normal person, she probably wouldn't be at peace.

That day, after teaching six classes as usual, she went home and felt a chill run down her back while grading homework. She also felt uneasy, thinking she had caught a cold, so she went to bed early. However, she couldn't sleep soundly and tossed and turned. When she finally drifted off to sleep, she heard a soft voice coming from afar: "Give me three points, teacher, give me three points, teacher!" She woke up immediately, her hands clenching involuntarily, her palms covered in cold sweat.

The voice didn't stop; instead, it grew clearer and clearer: "Teacher, please give me three points! Teacher, please give me three points!"

Mrs. F cried out and turned on the bedside lamp. The room was empty, but her voice continued: "Teacher, give me three points, teacher, give me three points."

She could no longer hold on; her teeth clenched together and she trembled violently. With no other choice, she turned on the TV and turned the volume up to the maximum. The sound seemed to fade, so she wrapped herself in a blanket and sat on the bed all night.

The next day in class, she felt dizzy and lightheaded. Although she tried to stay awake, she was still very lightheaded and had to skip the evening self-study session to go home and rest. But as soon as it got dark, that voice would appear on time: "Teacher, give me three points, teacher, give me three points!" The more she tried to sleep, the clearer the voice became. After three days of trying, Mrs. F finally fainted in class and was taken to the hospital. [7]

"Sigh, if only I had known this would happen, I would have let her off the hook back then. I think her problem is emotional. Maybe she would be better if she properly apologized to Bai's mother," Qingyan sighed.

"I'm afraid it's not that simple," Luo Luo said.

"how?"

“Isn’t Yu Jin related to her? She was with her at the hospital last night, and she heard that sound too, so it’s not just her imagination.”

“Is that so…” Kiyohiko said thoughtfully.

Evening soon arrived, and the students all dispersed. Qingyan volunteered to stay and keep Mrs. F company. Although Ruier loathed her intensely, she felt a pang of sympathy for her at this moment, and though she didn't say it aloud, she stayed by her side. After receiving a sedative injection, Mrs. F slowly fell asleep, and the sun gradually set.

The light in the room grew dimmer and dimmer when suddenly a voice rang out: "Teacher, give me three points! Teacher, give me three points!" Qingyan jumped up and listened carefully. He felt that the voice was everywhere, seemingly both near and far, but it was definitely not a hallucination.

Mrs. F woke up suddenly. Although she was too weak to speak, her face was deathly pale, clearly indicating that she was extremely frightened.

The sounds were continuous, and to Qingyan and Ruier they sounded like students pleading and crying, which was heartbreaking.

Mrs. F's breathing grew weaker and weaker, and her pupils began to dilate. Rui'er had long forgotten her disgust and was frantic, not knowing what to do. Qingyan suddenly remembered something and shouted to Rui'er, "Take good care of your teacher and wait for me to come back!" Before Rui'er could react, he rushed out of the ward.

Ruier held Mrs. F's hand tightly: "Teacher, hang in there, nothing will happen, nothing will happen." It was during the shift change of medical staff, and Mrs. F was not a seriously ill patient. The corridor was empty, with only that faint voice echoing.

Mrs. F's hands grew colder and colder, and Rui'er became increasingly anxious.

Just then, the door was flung open with a bang, and Qingyan rushed in, panting heavily. Despite it being the dead of winter, she was covered in sweat, carrying a stack of test papers, with Xiaobaicai's on top.

"Teacher! Add three points, please, add them quickly." With that, she shoved the test paper into Mrs. F's hands.

Mrs. F, whose eyes were almost closed, suddenly opened them. She tremblingly took the pen and struggled to write a "+3" on the test paper. The sound then miraculously stopped.

"Rui'er, help the teacher up." Qingyan and Rui'er worked together to help Madam F sit up and handed her the rest of the test papers, all of which were failing grades.

"Teacher, please give all of these a passing grade."

Although Mrs. F was still very weak, she was no longer on the verge of death. She did as instructed and added points to each paper. Kiyohiko neatly stacked them on the cabinet.

Then I saw the test papers slowly moving page by page. Suddenly, water fell from mid-air, one drop, two drops, onto the test paper, staining the bright red scores.

It was the clear tears of a sixteen-year-old girl.

That night, the ward was very quiet.
