Double Box Record - Chapitre 11
She instinctively reached for her sword, but the man was faster, striking two of her pressure points in the blink of an eye, leaving her frozen in place, unable to move.
Who is it?! Yi Chun stared wide-eyed in suspicion, only to find that a group of people in white had surrounded her without making a sound, unlike the bandits she usually encountered.
The white-clad leader lit a torch, glanced at her, then at Yang Shen, and finally whispered, "That's it, the person the young master is looking for must be him. He's accompanied by a maid, dressed in coarse cloth to avoid being recognized, and has delicate features—he must be Shu Jun. Take him away!"
The group of men in white silently wrapped Yang Shen in a blanket and carried him away. He didn't struggle or shout, probably because his pressure points had been acupunctured.
"What should we do with this maid? Should we kill her to silence her?" someone asked.
"No, the young master instructed that no blood should be drawn. Just leave her here; she's just a lowly maid."
After saying this, the group drifted away and quickly disappeared into the woods.
Yichun lay stiffly on the ground, still not understanding what had happened.
What scroll? Have they mistaken me for someone else?
Why are they encountering so many inexplicable things after only two or three days since they came down the mountain? Did Master ever say that the martial world is this chaotic?
It was late at night, and the wind in the forest was strong, making Yichun feel cold all over. She couldn't help but sneeze, and felt her nose about to run, but she couldn't raise her hand to wipe it.
Suddenly, a leisurely sound of footsteps came from behind, followed by a clear voice: "Master, someone has lit a fire here and is sleeping outdoors."
As the footsteps drew closer, Yichun widened her eyes and strained to see who it was.
Suddenly, I caught a faint, delicate fragrance, unlike any I had ever smelled in the incense burner before. The fragrance seemed to penetrate my very being, so pure and subtle that it instantly soothed my heart and mind.
A crimson gauze curtain fell before her eyes, behind which was an upside-down face. The face was as white as fresh snow, with dark, round eyes that looked incredibly pure and innocent.
The people I recognized were the same despicable master and servant I had seen in the woods that day.
Those beautiful eyes stared at her for a moment, then blinked, and the owner of those eyes suddenly said, "Ah, what a dirty little wildcat."
Wild...cat...you mean her?
The crimson veil suddenly disappeared, and then another elegant face appeared upside down in her view—it was Little Pumpkin.
She said in a low voice, "Young lady, we are also travelers, and now we are lost in the mountains with nowhere to go. Could you allow my servant and me to rest here for a while?"
It seems they don't remember her anymore; she's speaking in such a formal, literary way.
Yichun wanted to say "okay," as she was always generous, but now that her acupoints had been sealed, she couldn't speak or move, so she could only keep blinking.
Little Pumpkin turned around and said, "Master, something's not right. This girl seems to have had her pressure points sealed."
The mistress, draped in crimson gauze, sat by the fire, arms crossed, and said, "Never mind her, let's rest."
Hey! That's so cold-blooded!
Little Pumpkin was a little embarrassed and lowered her head, saying, "I'm sorry, my master dislikes sleeping outdoors the most, so he's in a bad mood. Please don't take offense, young lady."
Instead of wasting your time talking nonsense, why don't you hurry up and release the pressure points? Yichun was so anxious that her eyelids almost cramped up from blinking.
"Master, this is strange. There are two horses and two bundles tied up here, but only the young lady is asleep, and she seems to have had her pressure points sealed. Could it be that she has been robbed?"
As Little Pumpkin spoke, he took a thick blanket from his bundle and spread it on the floor for his master to sleep on.
The master repeated the same thing: "Ignore her."
This is what they mean by the fickleness of human relationships. Yi Chun shivered in the cool breeze and couldn't help but sneeze again, her face covered in snot.
The little pumpkin kindly took out a handkerchief to wipe her nose and said softly, "It's late and windy, be careful not to catch a cold, young lady."
After saying that, he suddenly stared at her for a while, a look of doubt on his face, and turned back to say, "Master, this acupoint striking technique is very unique. It's from those people in the Xiaoyao Sect."
The master finally showed some curiosity, said "Oh," and peeked over. Looking left and right, he suddenly said, "I'm going to ask you a few questions. If you're right, blink your left eye; if you're wrong, blink your right eye. Understand?"
Yichun quickly blinked her left eye.
"The person who was kidnapped while traveling with you was a man, and quite good-looking, right?"
Blink your left eye.
"The people who kidnapped your companion were all dressed in white, and each of them was a handsome young man, but they were all a bit crazy, constantly talking about being a 'young master' or 'young master' all the time, right?"
He hesitated for a moment, then blinked his left eye.
"They kidnapped your companion, mistaking her for someone named Shu Jun, and thought you were Shu Jun's maid, didn't they?"
Desperately using my left eye.
The master clapped his hands, his expression gentle and kind, and said with a smile, "So that's how it is, little pumpkin. They mistook someone else for me and kidnapped them."
Little Pumpkin frowned and said, "As expected, it's that shameless young master from the Free and Unfettered Sect's methods! He's always eyeing our master, a toad trying to eat swan meat!"
Shu Jun, stroking his chin, smiled as he looked at Yi Chun's face, which turned pale and then flushed, and said, "Since someone is willing to be a scapegoat, that's perfect. Let's rest for the night and continue our journey tomorrow morning."
Yi Chun's face turned deathly pale.
Little Pumpkin couldn't bear it and whispered, "Master, at least release this girl's pressure points. She's been made a scapegoat for the young master; it's quite pitiful."
Shu Jun lay sprawled on the blanket, looking languid, his eyes slightly closed, and said softly, "You're so stupid. Releasing the acupoints will only create more trouble for your master. If you're going to be a good person, you have to do it from the beginning. It's not worth it to be a good person halfway through. It's better to press a few more acupoints on her so she can sleep more peacefully tonight."
Little Pumpkin waved his hands repeatedly: "Forget about pressure point techniques, Master! You should do some good deeds sometimes."
Shu Jun didn't speak again. He seemed to be asleep. His elegant and handsome face was sometimes bright and sometimes dark in the firelight, so in Yi Chun's eyes it looked like a bodhisattva and a demon were appearing in turn.
She looks like a Bodhisattva, but her heart is that of a demon, a demon indeed!
