Capítulo 31

Liu Zhi: "..."

"I'll apply it for you today," Meng Yang whispered in Liu Zhi's ear. "Go take a shower."

Liu Zhi felt like Tang Sanzang trapped in the Spider Cave, knowing that Meng Yang had ill intentions, yet powerless to do anything about it.

While taking a bath, Liu Zhi was on tenterhooks, fearing that Meng Yang would knock on the door.

Meng Yang did not come.

Meng Yang, holding the ointment, sat cross-legged on Liu Zhi's bed, waiting for her.

Liu Zhi dawdled for a long time, thinking he had escaped a disaster, but he didn't expect to meet Meng Yang's eyes as soon as he entered the room.

"Take off your clothes." Meng Yang tapped his palms twice with the ointment. "I'll apply the medicine for you."

Liu Zhi's blood boiled instantly.

"I can do it myself."

You can't reach it.

Liu Zhi hesitated for a long time before finally slowly taking off her white T-shirt.

The teasing look in Meng Yang's eyes disappeared, replaced by heartache and affection.

Liu Zhi had her back to her, so she couldn't see her expression; she seemed to be in a state of shyness.

Meng Yang's fingertips were slightly cool, and they brought a wonderful tactile sensation when they touched Liu Zhi's skin.

"Liu Zhi," Meng Yang said in a low voice, "If you feel pain, you should tell me."

"It doesn't hurt," Liu Zhi said calmly. "You can continue."

Meng Yang's movements were very gentle, but even with such gentleness, touching the red and swollen areas still caused pain.

"Fool."

"What did you say?"

"Liu the Fool," Meng Yang repeated, "my Liu the Fool."

"Let's watch a movie after we finish applying the medicine," Meng Yang suggested. "I slept too much during the day, so I definitely won't be able to sleep now."

Liu Zhi learned her lesson and didn't ask directly, "What movie do you want to watch?"

"You pick one, I don't have any particular preferences when it comes to movies."

Meng Yang found this statement very helpful.

"How about something more exciting, like a horror movie?"

"I won't be able to sleep even more after reading this," Liu Zhi said, rejecting Meng Yang's suggestion.

"Then let's watch a zombie movie!" Meng Yang quickly suggested.

Meng Yang wasn't really brave enough to watch horror movies; she only made the suggestion to test Liu Zhi's "truths and falsehoods."

Meng Yang had watched several Resident Evil movies, so she wasn't particularly afraid of zombie films.

She had already imagined Liu Zhi watching a zombie movie while snuggling into her arms.

After applying the medicine, Meng Yang couldn't wait to draw the living room curtains and turn on the surround sound system.

She wanted to find movies she had already seen, but after flipping through three or four pages, she couldn't find any.

"Wasn't there a zombie movie just now?" Liu Zhi, sitting next to Meng Yang, pointed to the bottom left corner of the screen. "Turn back one page, it's around here."

This is a World War II zombie movie. The premise is simple: a biological weapon developed by the German army leaked, creating a large zombie army. This army was originally sealed in an underground base, but it was activated by a mysterious event, causing great panic in society.

The movie cover is very simple; a German military helmet takes up the entire poster.

Meng Yang gritted his teeth and clicked play.

To create a more inviting atmosphere, Meng Yang even turned off the living room lights.

The movie had just started, and everything was very calm, so calm that Meng Yang wanted to change the movie.

As the story progresses, a group carrying specialized equipment enters the zombie zone.

The background music had an unusual feel to it, and Meng Yang secretly glanced at Liu Zhi, observing her micro-expressions.

Suddenly, a chilling zombie scream rang out, and a zombie's head appeared on the screen.

Meng Yang was startled.

Liu Zhi calmly opened a carton of yogurt and handed it to her.

Meng Yang accepted the call, barely maintaining his composure, and continued reading.

The background music became even more eerie, and Meng Yang began to feel uneasy.

The director of this film seems to have a particular fondness for adding horror elements to otherwise calm scenes.

Meng Yang was startled several times, and the yogurt container in his hand was crushed.

"Are you scared?" Liu Zhi asked Meng Yang.

"No, I'm not afraid," Meng Yang stammered.

Liu Zhi smiled.

"I'm not afraid at all."

"Um."

An hour later, the movie reached its climax.

The team entered the zombie underground base, where rows of experimental subjects and biological weapons were laid out together, creating a scene that was as bloody as could be.

Meng Yang barely managed to hold on for half the game, but he was completely exhausted.

When the scary scene played again, she immediately threw herself into Liu Zhi's arms.

Liu Zhi hugged her and patted her back.

"Let's switch to another one." Liu Zhi's voice rang out in the darkness.

This voice gave Meng Yang a sense of security.

Do you find it scary?

"good."

"I won't change it." Meng Yang stubbornly insisted, "This part was terrifying just now. Once I get past this part, I won't be afraid anymore."

"Hmm..." Liu Zhi's voice held a hint of amusement, "Why don't you get out of my arms first?"

"No." Meng Yang hugged her even tighter. "I'm cold. You're warm in my arms."

“No good.” Liu Zhi mimicked Meng Yang’s tone, “I’m hot, but you’re warm.”

Meng Yang: "..."

"Okay, I'm not teasing you anymore," Liu Zhi said. "Let's watch a movie."

The following plot is even more terrifying: the team members are captured by the zombie army, given an injection, and are forcibly turned from living people into zombies.

The director gave him a close-up of his face, and in an instant, the life force of a living person was drained away, leaving his face withered and lifeless.

Meng Yang couldn't take it anymore after watching for half an hour.

She simply stopped looking at the screen and focused solely on Liu Zhi.

She used her gaze to trace Liu Zhi's features in the darkness.

Liu Zhi is so beautiful. Meng Yang liked her more and more the more he looked at her.

Liu Zhi was sometimes startled, but her reactions were always calm—she would furrow her brow and tilt her head back slightly, and that was it.

"My girlfriend has amazing self-control," Meng Yang thought to himself.

Maintaining one position for a long time is bound to be uncomfortable, so Meng Yang changed his position and nestled in Liu Zhi's arms, glancing around aimlessly, and finally making eye contact with the cat.

In the darkness, the cat's eyes glowed faintly. Meng Yang recalled a scene from a movie and couldn't help but gasp.

This time, Liu Zhi was really frightened. She hugged Meng Yang tightly and looked in the direction Meng Yang was looking.

The lights were turned on.

The furry kids sat in a row, looking at their mother with curious expressions.

It was a false alarm. Meng Yang clutched his chest and breathed a sigh of relief.

"Want to keep watching?" Liu Zhi asked, suppressing a laugh.

"I'm not watching anymore," Meng Yang said sullenly as he got up from the ground. "No laughing allowed."

"Mmm," Liu Zhi responded, her voice trembling at the end.

"I'm going to sleep," Meng Yang said dejectedly.

She walked towards her room, only to realize halfway there that all her bedding was in Liu Zhi's room.

Liu Zhi left the door open tonight, and the three kids swaggered into the house.

Meng Yang stroked each of them one by one, warning them not to disturb people's sleep in the middle of the night.

The furry kids all have such innocent eyes, especially the little one.

It looked at the mothers with its pitiful big eyes, as if the door-scratching incident last night had nothing to do with it.

"How could you be so naughty?" Meng Yang pinched the little hand of the baby and said in a low, "fierce" voice.

Liu Zhi made room for Meng Yang, lying on her side and waiting for Meng Yang to come over.

Meng Yang walked over, lifted the blanket, and buried himself inside.

"Turn off the lights." A command came from under the covers.

Liu Zhi deliberately ignored her.

"Turn off the lights," Meng Yang commanded again.

Liu Zhi picked up the textbook and flipped through a couple of pages.

Meng Yang finally poked half his head out from under the covers.

"It's not good to sleep huddled under the covers." Liu Zhi pushed up her glasses.
