Lan Yin Bi Yue - Chapitre 32

Chapitre 32

Two cold, sharp eyes turned to Huan'er, who was also looking at the renowned Leng Ziyang with curiosity. "Not bad, not bad looking at all," she thought, and smiled.

"I hope you will take good care of me in the future, Uncle Leng."

"I wouldn't dare." Leng Ziyang replied expressionlessly, his eyes calm.

Huan'er had the men greet Leng Ziyang and his men, but her attention was drawn to the girl behind Leng Ziyang.

The girl was quite pretty. She wasn't dressed like a rich young lady, but her clothes were made of fine fabric, and her unique demeanor set her apart from the group of maids behind her. Standing behind Leng Ziyang, she seemed even more out of place, as if she had a special status? Her eyes were fixed on Shi Wuji, her cheeks flushed with excitement. A sense of crisis instantly filled Huan'er's heart! She instinctively leaned into Wuji's arms.

"Huan'er, what's wrong?" He asked worriedly as he helped her up.

"The sun is making my eyes blurry," she said, feigning weakness. But out of the corner of her eye, she caught a knowing, mocking look from Wuhen, and she rolled her eyes at him in return.

However, Wuhen was quite helpful, and said, "I'll make do."

"Why don't we take my sister-in-law back to her room first, and then have the servants bring her some chilled bird's nest to cool her down?"

Seeing that Huan'er seemed unwell, Shi Wuji had long forgotten about etiquette and rules; his heart was entirely with his wife. He picked Huan'er up and carried her away, giving her instructions as he went:

"Everyone, return to your posts. We'll have a welcome-back banquet tonight. Wuxia, summon two maids to serve the young mistress. Leng Gang, come with me to the front yard."

Leaning on Shi Wuji's shoulder, she caught a glimpse of disbelief and sorrow in the delicate young girl's eyes. Huan'er secretly made a face, thinking: You're a good girl, go find someone else to like, don't even think about my husband, Wuji can only be mine! I must find an opportunity to declare to Wuji that she is firmly against polygamy, against it to the end.

"Huan'er, are you feeling better?" Shi Wuji laid her on the bed and wrung out a cold towel to place on her forehead.

Huan'er pouted. "Oh no. I'm feeling hot inside, my mouth is dry." Actually, it should be that she's jealous.

Leng Gang just came in and was about to take her pulse carefully. Huan'er panicked; she wasn't sick at all, and now her trick was about to be exposed. "No, no!" she grabbed her husband. "Wuji, I want some lotus seed soup. Can you have the servants cook it for me?"

"Okay! I'll be right back. Leng Gang, thank you for your help." He then walked out immediately.

Huan'er sat up and stuck her tongue out at Leng Gang, admitting her mistake.

"I'm fine."

“I know!” Leng Gang revealed a smile that was rarely seen in a century.

Huan'er's eyes widened. Had she really made her jealousy known to the whole world? No way!

"Don't tell him the truth, just say I drank more water, please, please!" It would be so embarrassing if he found out, and it would be mortifying if Wuji knew I was jealous.

"I won't tell. Wuxia and I are very grateful to you, sister-in-law." Leng Gang thanked Huan'er solemnly.

Huan'er rested her head on her hand, and after a while said:

How should this matter be resolved?

Leng Gang firmly stated:
