Lava - Capítulo 15

"girl."
She opened her eyes abruptly, instinctively looking into the room with wariness.
That was He Zai's voice, almost right next to my ear.
She carefully surveyed the dark room, making sure no one was there, before letting out a soft sigh.
She was covered in sweat and got out of bed to drink a full glass of cold water. The oily roast chicken she had eaten that evening had indeed made her thirsty. She opened the window again; the lights in the distance were off, and the cool breeze made her feel relaxed.
Now she no longer unconsciously strokes the five flutes, nor does the sound of bells follow her, but she still thinks of He Zai.
She didn't want to stay in her room, so she went out for a walk. Every blade of grass and every tree in Yun Family Manor made her feel incredibly at ease, although this wasn't a good sign, but occasional indulgence shouldn't be a problem.
As she walked, she arrived at Gongsun Yao's bedroom. After a moment's thought, she pushed open the door and entered. The candlelight inside was still burning, but there was no one watching over her.
She sat on the edge of the bed, gazing at the still-sleeping boy.
The daily morning and evening greetings weren't meant to make her feel guilty, but to make her treat Gongsun Yao as family. How could she not know that? She sighed.
"I brought back a roast chicken today, and I was forced to share it with Xianyun. Your village is always so strange, so obsessed with health and wellness, what's wrong with living to seventy or eighty?" A slight smirk played on her lips. "However, I respect your preferences." She continued, "I heard I was sent to Yun Family Village with you. You were clearly the one more likely to survive, but in the end, I was the one who woke up first. Waking up means a new life, isn't it?"
He Zai, she once thought that if she could really get rid of the cult leader, then she and He Zai would go to a place where no one knew them and live as siblings... Of course, she realistically knew that in the end she would be all alone, and sure enough, it was just as she expected.
"Xianyun has wanted to take me in as her sworn sister several times. Do you think I should agree?" As she spoke, she smiled.
When she was ten, she was forced to take He Zai as her heavenly slave. In order to survive, the little girl had no choice but to be close to the sixteen-year-old boy. Over time, they were practically family members who depended on each other for survival. However, in the end, they could not compare to their blood brothers with the same surname.
Perhaps because she was too defensive, she never thought about matters of love and romance.
"Xianyun does have some feelings for me, but where do these feelings come from?" she wondered. What did he see when he was fourteen?
Even if he saw her naked, she didn't think he would take responsibility. Only after spending more time with him did she realize that this seemingly polite person actually had very clear likes and dislikes; he wouldn't touch things he didn't like and was somewhat of a germaphobe. Last time she saw him dining with others, he wouldn't touch the food that others had touched, yet he was willing to eat with the "Digital Gentlemen" and her. Should she say that she was already a part of Yun Family Manor?
This idea isn't bad, but it shouldn't be considered for too long. Gongsun Yun is like a poisonous poppy; once you truly get involved, you'll likely never be able to leave. This is the conclusion she's reached after being gradually corrupted over the past six months.
Such beauty, such tranquility... well, she actually quite liked it.
The slight noise made her think that the caregiver had arrived. She was about to turn around, but her gaze remained fixed on the patient on the bed.
The patient on the bed opened his eyes at some point, and although he was weak, he looked at her with surprise.
She's awake! She's awake!
"you……"
She stared at him blankly.
"You're awake! That's wonderful!" The voice sounded softly from behind her.
She turned around and saw Xianyun standing beside her.
Gongsun Yun was also taken aback when he saw her. He reached out and gently touched the corner of her eye, but she instinctively looked away.
"I didn't mean anything by it, but there are tears in your eyes..."
She touched the corner of her eye, then looked at Gongsun Yao. Gongsun Yao looked at her, then at Xianyun, and said in a hoarse voice:
"Who are you?"
"Me?" She smiled. "I am Jiang Wubo, temporarily residing at Yun Family Manor." She gently grasped his thin, small hand. "Wait a moment, I'll go find the Fifth Young Master."
Just as he was about to let go, Gongsun Yao pulled her back with all his might. He looked at Gongsun Yun, then at Jiang Wubo, and whispered, "Your voice... I keep hearing it in my dreams... Your roast chicken... Don't let Fifth Brother know..."
Hearing this, she laughed. "Alright." She tried to get up again, but the young man still held on tightly. She subconsciously stroked his overly long belt and said, "I'll be right back with Xianyun."
He opened his mouth to speak, but she blinked.
Finally, he let go and closed his eyes. "Miss Jiang, there's a small box in my wardrobe that smells of hay. Could you take it to Fifth Brother and ask him to bring a few more boxes over? I always like to smell this when I'm sick."
"Okay." She turned around. "Xianyun, shall you take it or should I?"
"Take it." Xianyun sat on the edge of the bed and watched over Gongsun Yao for a while.
She opened the wardrobe and saw several identical, exquisite little boxes. She opened them one by one and finally found the one with the hay scent. She took a deep breath and then closed it.
She and Xianyun carefully left the dormitory building, and she opened the box again to smell it. "This smells so good."
"Is that so?" he said casually.
"You came to visit Seventh Young Master in the middle of the night?" she asked casually.
The night breeze was still blowing, but it carried a strange scent in the air.
"No, I was originally looking for you, but when I saw you come out, I followed you all the way here."
"You need something from me in the middle of the night?" she asked, glancing at him.
He stopped in his tracks, his gaze fixed on her. "Wu Bo, don't you know how I feel?"
She smiled slightly: "I know."
"That……"
"Xianyun, I think I also have a bit of a crush on you," she said very frankly.
Upon hearing this, his eyes lit up, and he stepped forward. "Since that's the case..."
She touched the belt again and said softly:
"It's strange. I could tolerate it before, but now, under the flowers and the moon, in this beautiful setting, I suddenly really want to know what you look like after you take off your clothes." Seeing his surprise, she smiled and gently closed her eyes.
She heard his breathing become unsteady and he was getting closer, clearly about to kiss her. In a flash, she used her right hand to tear his clothes and skin.
Fresh blood spurted out.
She smiled faintly, and taking advantage of the other person's momentary shock, she ruthlessly slashed again, severing the tendons in their hand. The other person finally came to their senses and immediately lunged forward to try and grab her.
She leaped back lightly, without screaming or fleeing in panic. Her steps were a little unsteady, and she realized that the small box given to her by Gongsun Yao could ward off the aphrodisiac, but it could not stop her body from going weak.
"Jiang Wubo, where do you think you can escape tonight?" The other party was determined to succeed.
She dodged a few moves, but her opponent stepped on her belt and, taking advantage of her momentary hesitation, forcefully pulled on it.
Her mind reacted quickly, but her actions were a beat too slow. The instant the belt slipped off, someone grabbed her waistband from behind, flipped it over, and the belt wrapped around her again. She took the opportunity to retreat into the person's arms and cut half of the belt off with a dagger.
When it's time to make a clean break, it's pointless to leave things behind that can't save lives.
"Young Master Xianyun!" The man was shocked and was about to run away when several disciples of the Yun Family Manor surrounded him and captured him in one fell swoop.
"Fifth brother, come here." Gongsun Yun said coldly, "Wu Bo has been drugged with aphrodisiac."
Gongsun Zhi rushed over immediately, took her pulse, stole a glance at Gongsun Yun, and muttered:
"Being affected by aphrodisiacs is easy to deal with."
She blinked, about to stand up straight, when she realized that the man behind her was gently holding her waist, letting her lean against him.
Gongsun Zhi nodded. "You'd better not wander around, because you're also wearing fragrance. Actually, it would be simple if you stayed in your room, but why did you suddenly go to A Yao's room... Wait, you smelled the Hundred-Herb herb?"
"Yes," she said slowly, "it was given to me by Ayao."
After a moment of silence, Gongsun Zhi jumped up and shouted without turning his head:
"Go to sleep, a few erotic dreams will make you feel better!"
"A wet dream..." she sighed, knowing that the herb that wouldn't fall off was the complete antidote. She had never had a wet dream before.
Who should I hire to do it?
"Let me take you back to your room," Gongsun Yun suddenly said.
"Aren't you going to see Ayao?"
"Fifth Brother can go now." He let her go first, but never strayed too far from her, always telling any passing disciples to keep their distance. "A while ago, there was a minor incident in the martial world, and you and Seventh Brother were both seriously injured, but I didn't pay much attention. Until Third Brother mentioned it, that a few strange things have happened in the martial world these past few months, with couples who were clearly in love ending up... the man denying everything. Third Brother flipped through a few martial world records and found that the Jade-Faced Scholar had been a guest in that area at the time, and tonight, he used the excuse of the Upper Ancient Pavilion to stay overnight at the Yun Family Manor."
"So that's how it is. His disguise was truly perfect." Arriving at her bedroom door, she said, "There's only one 'Fairy' in Yun Family Manor. I never knew I could attract a flower thief. Xianyun, I finally understand why you laugh and joke in private, but are so stingy with smiles in public. Someone disguised themselves to impersonate you, and it was too easy to recognize them. From beginning to end, the jade-faced scholar was always serious, just like you outside the manor."
"So you recognized me all along."
She raised her eyebrows and noticed his restrained expression, as if he was well aware of his own boundless allure, and that if he were to accidentally reveal it, she would pounce on him.
To be honest, the alluring fragrance only made her body feel weak and a little hot, but she didn't feel much. She thought her self-control was really top-notch.
Just as she was about to enter the room, he said behind her:
"It's been half a year, and you still can't bring yourself to cry out. That day really hurt you deeply, didn't it?"
She turned around, slightly surprised. He was saying…didn't she call for help?
Those warm palms covered her eyes again, and this time she didn't look away. He said in a hoarse voice:
"It doesn't matter. Whether it's one year or two, I'll be here. You'll eventually call out. I couldn't save you the first time, but the second and third time, even if I know it's a waste of time, I'll still try to save you. Wubo, anyone can live in your heart, just don't live there alone."
She remained silent.
He gently pried open her eyes with his palm, and now she could clearly see his expression. He smiled softly and said gently:
Go to bed early.
She went into the room and closed the door. Leaning against the door, she rubbed her eyes with her left palm. Her left hand had been saved after immense hardship, and her internal organs had been healed through long-term care. She would never forget that pain, she dared not forget it.
She could never forget the pain of falling off the cliff, nor could she forget the man who found her in the pouring rain. She knew what he was doing; he was corrupting her will.
She thought for a moment, then impulsively opened the door, meeting his somewhat surprised gaze.
"Xianyun, you haven't left yet... Those who stay at the end always get the treats, right?"
He gazed at her.
"Would you like to take me in as your adopted sister?"
A strange light flashed in his handsome eyes. He was silent for a moment, then his thin lips curved upwards, and he said:
"If you're willing, Wu Bo, Huangfu Yun, and Wang Yun will all be my sworn sisters for life."
She clasped her hands in a fist and smiled, "Brother Xianyun, I hope you will take good care of me from now on."
A faint smile played in his eyes and on his brow as he spoke softly:
"The proper etiquette between sworn siblings should not be neglected; let's simply formally become sworn siblings tomorrow."
She sighed, "Yes, tonight...it's going to be troublesome, isn't it?"
He lowered his eyes. "Thank you for your hard work."
"Are wet dreams tiring?" she asked in surprise. "I've never had a wet dream before, I wonder what it will be like tonight..."
