Die Faust zerschmettert alle Himmel und unzählige Welten - Kapitel 9

Kapitel 9

The swordsman winked at her and said slowly, "A bowl of wontons and two steamed buns will do."

Feng Ning turned to the old woman running the stall and said, "Auntie, another bowl of wontons and two steamed buns." She added at the end, "This brother of mine has a small appetite."

The swordsman turned his head, pretending to look away, but the slight trembling of his shoulders betrayed his amusement. Feng Ning, however, ignored him, finding an empty seat at the small table and sitting down without any hesitation. Breakfast was quickly served, and Feng Ning ate with a beaming smile, saying to the swordsman between mouthfuls, "Contentment is enough; as long as I'm alive and well, that's good enough." She then paused, surprised, "Wait, who said that to me?"

The swordsman looked at her and asked, "You don't remember?"

Feng Ning shook her head: "I'm sick and don't remember things. But I remember that my older brother is a good person, and I also remember that I owe you money, which I will definitely pay back." She continued to eat with her head down, and while eating, she said loudly to the old lady selling breakfast: "Auntie, your food is so delicious."

She praised the breakfast in words and her eating manners clearly showed how delicious it was. Several passersby couldn't help but stop and buy some. This pleased the breakfast vendor, who wrapped two braised eggs in lotus leaves: "Young lady, I'm treating you to some eggs. They're wrapped up, so you can take them home and eat them; they won't spoil."

Feng Ning smiled brightly, thanked him, and winked smugly at the swordsman. After they finished eating, the swordsman paid the bill and returned to the small table. Feng Ning lowered her voice and said, "Brother, please give the money for the eggs to the old lady too. Her hands are all cut from working so hard, and the child who helped is so young, and they are both dressed in rags. They must be from a poor family. We can't take advantage of her."

The swordsman mimicked her serious expression and lowered his voice, saying, "I want to give it to her, but she doesn't want it."

Feng Ning lowered her voice even further, like a thief: "Then we'll secretly put them here. She'll see them when she comes to collect the bowls." The swordsman glanced at the old woman, nodded, and did as she was told. Just as the two walked away, they heard the old woman call, "Miss..." Feng Ning turned around and saw that the old woman had discovered the copper coins and was waving to her. Feng Ning quickly pulled the swordsman away, and once they were out of sight, she laughed heartily.

She skipped along happily, but after only a few steps, the swordsman grabbed her sleeve: "Weren't you going home? Why are you heading towards the city gate again?"

Feng Ning was startled and exclaimed, "Oh no! I forgot to buy breakfast!"

The swordsman was startled and shouted, "What did you just eat?" Could her forgetfulness be that serious?

"No, no. I was thinking that the city gate guard must have worked so hard and hadn't had breakfast yet. That old lady has several baskets of steamed buns, so I could buy some for him. But I was so happy eating that I forgot about it." Feng Ning looked at the swordsman expectantly: "Brother, don't worry, I'll definitely pay you back. Can you go buy me some more steamed buns?"

“No good.” The swordsman answered decisively: “You left so furtively just now, it would be embarrassing to go back. I’ll give you the money, you can go by yourself.”

"No, I'm too shy to go back."

"So I'm just thick-skinned?" Pai Pai

"You're definitely better than me." Feng Ning grinned, "I mean, big brother, you look like you have a wide network of connections and a lot of experience. You must have been through a lot. You'll definitely do a better job than me when it comes to buying steamed buns. Go ahead." She clasped her hands together, pleading earnestly, "Go, go. I owe you a favor, I'll definitely pay it back."

The swordsman's expression softened, and Feng Ning seized the opportunity, pushing him back: "Go on, go on, it's all up to you, you're such a good person. Your aunt and grandson should pack up and go home to rest, and your brother should fill his stomach so he can guard the city gate, it's all up to you." She made it sound like buying steamed buns was a big deal, and the swordsman was finally forced back to his breakfast stall.

Feng Ning hid around a corner and watched as the swordsman went back to buy steamed buns with an embarrassed look on his face. Sure enough, the old lady pushed and shoved him, trying to charge him less. Feng Ning thought she saw the swordsman blush, and then it seemed that they couldn't reach an agreement. He snatched the steamed buns, dropped the money, and ran away quickly.

"Young master, young master..." This time, the old woman was calling for the swordsman. Feng Ning couldn't help but burst into laughter. The swordsman passed by, grabbed her, and they ran away together, complaining as they fled, "Still laughing! Still laughing!"

The two ran straight to the city gate. Feng Ning gave the soldiers some steamed buns and apologized again for lying. The soldiers were overjoyed to see someone bringing them breakfast and thanked her profusely. Feng Ning felt relieved and was in a great mood. She waved goodbye to the soldiers and turned to run towards the swordsman.

She smiled brightly, the sunlight shining behind her making her appear even more radiant. The swordsman stood there with his arms crossed, his eyes slightly narrowed, seemingly lost in thought.

Feng Ning ran happily to his side and said boldly, "Come on, come home with me, I'll give you the money back." She couldn't stop laughing and strolled in the sunlight with her hands behind her back. She was covered in dirt, but she didn't care at all, like a cat that was taking a satisfied stroll after a full meal.

After walking quietly for a long time, Feng Ning suddenly said, "Brother, I'm not so sad anymore. Look, I ran away from home for one night, but I met such a good person as you, and the soldier guarding the city gate was also a good person, and the old lady selling breakfast was also a good person. There are so many good people in this world, isn't that wonderful? Someone once taught me that as long as you treat others with sincerity, you will eventually be rewarded, and I think that's true. Although my husband's family doesn't like me, it's probably because I did bad things before, but it's different now. If I treat them well, they will definitely change their opinion of me, right?"

The swordsman remained silent, and Feng Ning continued, "Oh dear, I remembered those words, but I can't recall who said them to me. The person who taught me these words must have been a good person. Brother, I miss someone, but I don't know who to miss. That empty feeling is truly unpleasant."

She didn't expect him to respond; her words were incoherent, and it was no wonder no one could understand her. But as long as there was someone beside her listening, letting her ramble on, she felt comfortable. She rambled on for a few more minutes, then, seeing the Dragon Mansion in front of her, she suddenly remembered that she couldn't force her way in with her swordsman brother.

At this moment, she felt a little embarrassed. She stopped, bent down and kicked a pebble on the ground, and whispered, "Brother, let me tell you, this is my husband's family. But they don't like me very much yet, so I'll take you in later. If we don't get the money quickly, please don't be upset. I'll talk to them nicely, and they'll give it to me. At the very least, I have some jewelry, which should be enough to cover the breakfast cost."

Before the swordsman could answer, Feng Ning asked again, "By the way, it's been so long, and I still haven't asked you your name, brother."

"My surname is Long..."

"Oh my, what a coincidence!" Feng Ning exclaimed. "My husband's family also has the surname Long."

The swordsman sighed, "I know."

"Oh." Feng Ning lowered her head. "You know this house belongs to the Long family, right? They're very famous, aren't they? I, I, I'm not a bad person, really." She didn't know what to say, so she just walked towards the gate of the mansion with her head down. "Let's go, we'll have to go back sooner or later anyway."

Before they even reached the door, it suddenly opened, and a dozen or so guards and servants came out. The one in the lead saw Feng Ning and shouted, "No need to look anymore, isn't this the Third Madam? She's right here."

Feng Ning wished she could dig a hole and disappear immediately; this was just too embarrassing. She was about to turn around and explain the situation to the swordsman when the guards and servants suddenly bowed respectfully. Startled, Feng Ning heard them loudly call out, "Third Master!"

Feng Ning stared at them blankly for a long time, then slowly...

6. The Third Wife of the Dragon Family, who picked up her husband...

Turning around, he saw the swordsman accepting everyone's greetings with a calm expression. He met Feng Ning's wide-eyed, agape expression of surprise and said softly, "I am Long San."

7. Find the third wife of the dragon as an ally...

Feng Ning stared at him like a fool for a long time before asking blankly, "Are you Long San?"

"right."

"His name is Long Fei?"

"right."

"Your eldest brother is named Long Teng, and your second brother is named Long Yue?"

"Yes."

"You have a fierce-looking old woman named Yu in charge of things in your household?"

"Um."

"You married a wife named Feng Ning?"

"Um."
