Die Faust zerschmettert alle Himmel und unzählige Welten - Kapitel 14

Kapitel 14

"Long San, Long San..." She followed him into the study and asked sadly, "Am I being unfaithful?"

Long San sighed, "Feng Ning, it's enough that we've investigated the matter thoroughly. There's no point in you dwelling on the past. I believe you have no ill intentions towards our family now, and I promise that once this is over, I'll let you go back to your parents' home. Just focus on what's related to the theft of the treasure; anything else is just adding to your troubles. Why bother asking?"

“Of course I have to ask. You all know what you were like in the past, but I don’t. I certainly have the right to know what kind of person I am and what I’ve done. Besides, everything is connected. What I’ve done might be related to my theft of your family’s treasure.” Feng Ning paced back and forth. “For example, you and I conspired to seize the family property. You couldn’t show yourself, so you sent me to steal it. You and I pretended to be at odds to cover our tracks. Or, for example, I accidentally learned some of my second uncle’s unspeakable secrets, so he devised a plan to create the illusion that I had an affair and tried to seduce him, making everyone hate me, and then setting a trap to kill me. Or, for example…”

“Feng Ning…” Long San was dumbfounded as he listened, and quickly interrupted her: “Stop making assumptions, none of what you’re saying is true.” Feng Ning stopped and looked at him expectantly. Long San rubbed his forehead: “You really have a lot of wild ideas.”

"Anything is possible."

"Not including the domestic turmoil you're guessing at, the three of us brothers have a very deep bond, such a thing wouldn't happen."

Feng Ning pouted, plopped down in a chair, and said sadly, "Yeah, none of you would do such a thing. I'm the only bad guy. I also thought I wouldn't do such a thing, but I did it anyway. Didn't you catch me red-handed?"

“Feng Ning, why did you do this? We also want to know the truth, which is why we are sitting here to discuss it.”

"Then tell me first what I've done in the past." Before Long San could speak, Feng Ning added, "Tell me everything, good or bad."

Long San pondered for a moment, then finally nodded and said, "Then you have to agree. The matter is over, and you can't bring it up again."

"Okay." Feng Ning readily agreed, and only then did Long San begin to speak.

“When your family came to us, we did not agree to fulfill the marriage agreement, but your parents were adamant. They took the written agreement and tokens made by your grandfather and made a big scene, insisting that your eldest brother marry you. At that time, your eldest brother and sister-in-law were already married, so your eldest brother was naturally unwilling. However, your family demanded that your eldest brother divorce his wife. When that failed, they said that he could be a concubine.”

Feng Ning frowned. Why didn't her parents cherish her?

Long San continued, "My eldest brother has always been tough in his actions and was very resolute in refusing the marriage. Your family had no other choice but to cause trouble at my family's grave. My second brother stepped in to resolve the situation, and they discovered that my second brother was the head of the family. So they turned around and asked my second brother to marry her, which my second brother naturally refused. At that time, your family's attitude made us all feel something was off, and we thought they were only after the power of our Long family. The matter was deadlocked, and I thought to myself that your family was not sincerely fulfilling the marriage agreement, so I proposed that I marry her, otherwise the matter would be over. I didn't expect your family to agree at the last minute."

Feng Ning sneered, "Do you think my family will quiet down just because you said that?"

“I did underestimate him,” Long San continued. “After the marriage was arranged, Granny Yu was very angry, feeling that our Long family had been bullied. Before the wedding, I had to leave home for a while, so she said she would handle the marriage and make sure it didn’t happen.” He paused here, seemingly hesitant.

Feng Ning wouldn't let it go, pressing on: "And then what? How did Granny Yu prevent it from happening? But we still got married in the end, didn't we?"

Long San had no choice but to reply: "Granny Yu sent all three of us brothers away, and then on the wedding day, she said that we all had important matters to attend to and could not leave, so she had to ask a pig to take our place. If the Feng family is not satisfied with this, the wedding can be canceled."

Feng Ning opened her mouth wide in surprise and exclaimed, "A pig?"

Long San was somewhat embarrassed and nodded. Feng Ning then asked loudly, "Is it really a pig?" Long San was even more embarrassed and speechless. Feng Ning slammed her hand on the table: "How could you do such a thing?"

“Feng Ning…” Long San wanted to say something, but Feng Ning stopped him with a forceful wave of her hand. She stood up and paced back and forth, loudly muttering to herself, “What were my parents thinking? They agreed to this? What about me? How could I possibly agree? A wedding ceremony? I should have stabbed that pig in the back and hung him in your wedding hall, letting his blood splatter everywhere, making it a river of blood, so you couldn’t clean the floor properly even after a month of scrubbing. How could I let you treat me like this?”

After she finished yelling, she glared at Long San and asked, "Did I stab that pig?"

"No."

"Have you completed the wedding ceremony?"

"Goodbye."

Feng Ning slammed her fist on the table in anger: "How could I be so useless?" Long San said: "If you also find it unbelievable, then you should understand why we were convinced that you weren't innocent after marrying into this family."

Feng Ning said, "What I find unbelievable is that I didn't kill both the pig husband and the human husband!"

Author's Note: The past is gradually unfolding, and the truth is slowly being revealed, so please be patient. Also, my character Feng Ning is a violent type, so please be understanding.

10. Madam Long San discovers the clues...

Long San glared at Feng Ning, and Feng Ning glared back.

Long San asked, "Do you still want to hear it or not?"

"Yes," she replied through gritted teeth.

Just as Long San was about to speak, Feng Ning interrupted, "Did that pig-like husband sleep in the same room with you later?"

"Feng Ning!" Long San shouted.

Feng Ning stood up abruptly and shouted, "Why don't you put up a sign that says 'Pigsty' at the entrance of your yard?" She just couldn't swallow this insult.

Long San got anxious, slammed his hand on the table, and stood up: "Who was it that just now promised not to pursue the past or bring up old grievances?"

"It's that pig's wife! If you're not satisfied, go complain to the pig!" Feng Ning's voice was unusually loud. "Who would have thought the old scores would be so interesting? It's a good thing I lost my memory, otherwise you would have been kneading me like dough. Do you think I, Feng Ning, am easy to bully? If I did something wrong, I would take responsibility. And you, you act like victims. Now I understand, I have a reason for everything I do. You treat me like this, shouldn't I retaliate?"

Are you being unreasonable?

“Yes, I did.” Feng Ning nodded vigorously, then began to reason with him: “Tell me yourself, if you marry me, regardless of whether you like me or not, whether you’re willing or not, will you treat me well after we’re married?”

"..." Long San was stunned for a moment, and stammered, "You've been well taken care of in terms of food and lodging, and you even have servants to wait on you..."

Feng Ning waved her hand to interrupt him, and then asked, "Do you know what color clothes I like to wear?"

"..." He looked at what she was wearing now; it was light blue.

Do you know what kind of food I like to eat?

Long San's mind was filled with the dishes from Zhenwei Restaurant. He hadn't really paid attention to her before, back at the mansion.

Seeing that he was speechless, Feng Ning snorted and asked again, "Do you know what I like to play?"

Long San lowered his eyes and saw the kite and wooden doll she had placed on the table. Feng Ning shouted at him, "You know nothing! You're supposed to be my husband? How can you be a husband like that? You have no shame! I'm ashamed for you!"

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became, and she turned and ran away. She bumped into Long Er at the door, glared at him fiercely, leaving him completely bewildered.
