Die Faust zerschmettert alle Himmel und unzählige Welten - Kapitel 76

Kapitel 76

"Only Ali, me, and two old loyal servants know the inside story of this matter. But the fact that Fengfeng married into the Long family is known to everyone in the Feng family."

"Have you confirmed the news of Feng'er's biological mother's death?"

“Although I didn’t see the body at the time, Ali witnessed her perish in the fire. The neighbors of the old house also confirmed the fire. After the incident, Ali found a skeleton in the wreckage, which must have been Ali’s. She buried Ali with her parents herself.” Feng Zhuojun carefully recalled the past, and now he sighed with regret: “But today’s events suggest that Ali isn’t dead, and she’s come to take revenge on me. She didn’t directly take my life, but instead used my daughter to torment me…” As he spoke, he became extremely distressed: “I shouldn’t have abandoned her and let her suffer so much. I was wrong, but if she wants revenge, I have nothing to say. But why would she be so cruel to her daughter?”

Feng Zhuojun suddenly remembered and asked, "My dear son-in-law, when you caught up with them, did you see their faces clearly?"

"There were only two men in black; they ran away when they couldn't win. I didn't see any woman."

“She won’t give up…” Feng Zhuojun murmured, “She’s so fierce, she won’t just give up like this.”

Long San didn't comfort him, but simply said, "Your husband is right, it's best to keep this from Feng'er."

Feng Ning was indeed kept in the dark. When she woke up, she found herself in a different place. She looked around the unfamiliar room in a daze and then saw Long San looking down at her with concern.

"You're awake." Long San pecked her lips and touched her forehead to hers.

Feng Ning blinked and asked, "Did we change places again?"

"Yes, for safety's sake, it's good to change them often."

Feng Ning wrinkled her nose and asked, "Can we eat now?"

"Not yet, wait until tomorrow." Long San's answer made Feng Ning's expression clearly disappointed. Long San chuckled and kissed her forehead: "Sweetie, there's only one more day. Just three more doses of medicine and you'll be fine."

Feng Ning was very unhappy: "I'm like a rat now, not only do I have to hide here and there, but I can't even find food. It's all because of those bastards. When I get better, I will definitely dig them out and tear them to pieces to relieve my hatred."

Long San snorted twice and said, "You'd better behave yourself for now. The poison is gone, but your external injuries haven't healed yet. You'll need to rest for a while. Don't think about revenge anymore. I'll take care of everything."

"Well then, my dear husband, could you make a list of tomorrow's dishes and let me take a look? I'll pick out what's good to eat, okay? If I'm full, all my external and internal injuries will disappear." Her expression was quite mischievous, which made Long San laugh out loud. He couldn't help but bite her cheek and said, "You're being naughty."

Feng Ning was unconvinced and grabbed his large hand, biting it as well. Suddenly, her smile froze on her face, and after a long while, she said, "Long San, I remember now, I was almost strangled to death."

Long San was taken aback, then stroked her hair to comfort her, saying, "Don't think nonsense. You're injured and traumatized, so maybe you're remembering things wrong. Don't think about those bad things."

Feng Ning glared at him: "You used to say that you would tell me whatever came to mind, that it might be a clue. Now that I've remembered it, you don't care anymore. When I thought of it just now, I felt really uncomfortable, like I was in the water."

She mentioned water, and Long San felt sorry for her. He knew how afraid she was of water, so he quickly hugged her and comforted her: "I was just afraid you would feel bad, that's why I told you not to overthink it. Things are different now. Our relationship is so good now, there's no point in digging into the past, right? It's okay if you remember it, it's okay if you don't. Don't worry about it too much. If you think of anything bad that makes you uncomfortable, then don't think about it anymore."

"Long San," Feng Ning called pitifully, "Will I live like this forever, never remembering anything?"

Long San remained silent, truly unsure how to answer. Feng Ning nestled in his arms and whispered, "Although I always tell myself that the most important thing is the future, and it doesn't matter if I can't remember the past, I know that something is always missing in my heart. I don't know what happened to me, I don't know who I know, and these unknowns always scare me. Like when Bao'er was kidnapped, like this assassination attempt, all of these things are related to my lack of knowledge."

Long San hugged her tightly: "I'll handle everything, Feng'er. Give me some more time. Don't be afraid, I'm here. Everything will be resolved. Don't leave me."

"Will you provide meals?" Feng Ning had a knack for always managing to steer the conversation back to this important question, no matter what the topic was.

"Tomorrow." Long San's posture and expression remained unchanged as he readily agreed.

Feng Ning pinched him hard, but this guy wouldn't let go no matter what she did; he was so naughty. She nestled in his arms, feeling sleepy again. She wondered if the medicine the doctor prescribed contained sedatives? But she hadn't felt anything the last few times she drank it. She blinked, deciding not to struggle anymore; she'd just sleep. Before drifting off to sleep, she said, "Long San, I forgot to ask you, where is there a place with both a lake and sand?"

Long San froze, watching Feng Ning nestled in his arms and fall asleep sweetly, feeling a mix of emotions welling up inside him.

56. The Long couple, discussing the mystery together...

After laying everything out in the open, Feng Zhuojun felt a little relieved. Although she was still worried about what Qiao Ling would do next, at least she had Long San to discuss things with, which made Feng Zhuojun feel like she had someone to rely on.

On the other hand, he was very worried about Qiao Li. If Qiao Ling could find Feng Feng, it would prove that she knew the whereabouts of their family, and therefore she must also know where Qiao Li was. If she could harm her daughter, she certainly wouldn't hesitate to harm her own sister. The more Feng Zhuojun thought about it, the more worried he became. He quickly wrote a letter to Qiao Li, telling her to be careful. He dared not entrust the letter to the post station again, so he told Long San to find someone to deliver it for him. Long San readily agreed and went to do it.

Feng Ning finally made it to the day when she could eat. She sat up in bed, full of energy, waiting for Long San to bring her food, her heart brimming with anticipation. After waiting for a long time, Long San finally brought in a large tray. Feng Ning exclaimed happily, "Quick, quick, I'm starving!"

The tray was brought over, and Feng Ning pouted as soon as she saw it: "Why is the bowl so small, and there are so few side dishes, and no meat..." She complained but quickly started eating. Soon the bowl of porridge was gone, and she generously handed the bowl over: "Third Master, please give me another bowl."

"That's all," Third Master answered calmly.

Feng Ning glared at her: "How could it be gone? One pot can easily make ten bowls."

Long San stroked her head to comfort her: "Your stomach is not very good to begin with, and you haven't eaten for two days. Your stomach has been empty, so you can't eat too much at first. Drink some porridge to fill your stomach first, and then gradually adjust your food intake back to normal."

Feng Ning looked at the small bowl in front of her, on the verge of tears, still struggling: "I've been taking medicine for the past two days, my stomach isn't empty, it's been full. Long San, you saw every time I took medicine, that bowl was twice the size of this one."

Long San took away the empty bowl and tray in front of her. Feng Ning hesitated for a few moments, clinging to the tray, before finally letting go. She asked, "In another hour, it should be snack time, right?"

Long San suppressed a laugh: "Who set the snack time?"

"I made the order." Feng Ning's expression was innocent.

Long San smiled, bent down and kissed her cheek: "We'll use this rule later."

With a mournful face, Feng Ning buried her head in the blankets and muttered, "If I don't avenge this, I'm not a Feng!"

Long San was amused by her again and said, "Your surname isn't Feng anymore, it's Long."

Feng Ning sat up abruptly and hugged Long San's arm: "Since we share the surname Long, we must take revenge even more, otherwise it will be too disgraceful to the Long family." She rested her head on Long San's arm and said, "Long San, tell me, what clues have you found? Who are those people? Why do they want to take my life? Once I'm healed, I will definitely deal with them."

Long Sanqiang composed himself, stroked her hair, and said, "Don't worry about this, I'll handle it."
