Die Faust zerschmettert alle Himmel und unzählige Welten - Kapitel 84

Kapitel 84

"Young master, would you like to cross the river too? My boat is faster than Uncle Wang's. Take my ride."

“Mine was wrong too, young master. Take my boat, I can give you a discount.”

Long San waved his hand and asked again, "Did she say anything when she booked the boat? What kind of boat does Uncle Wang have?"

The two boatmen were getting impatient: "Young master, let me tell you, Uncle Wang is old and not very strong. He can't carry much normally. Look, it's getting dark now, and he doesn't dare to sail anymore, so he went home early. That girl kindly chose his boat. He can carry her, but you're tall and strong, so Uncle Wang probably can't carry you. Are you looking for that girl? Then you should definitely ask us to take you across. If you don't book now, many people will be crossing the river tomorrow morning, and if there are no empty boats left, you'll regret it."

Long San smiled and said, "That's true. Then I'll book this boat with you." The boatman beamed and agreed repeatedly. He then boasted to Long San for a long time about how well he could steer the boat, accepted Long San's deposit, and arranged to meet him there at dawn the next day.

Long San returned to town and searched everywhere but couldn't find Feng Ning. He did find out that she had eaten a good meal at the best restaurant in town, but didn't stay at a hotel. Long San searched all the few inns in town, which could be counted on one hand, but still couldn't find Feng Ning. He sighed and walked to the ferry under the moonlight, intending to wait for her to come to him.

As dawn broke, the ferry crossing in the small town was already crowded with people, many of them locals heading to the opposite mountain to gather firewood, herbs, and fruit. A young woman jumped onto the only boat at the crossing, propelled by an old man. The small boat rocked and swayed, quickly reaching the surface of the river. A young man swiftly emerged from the shadows, jumped onto another small boat, and sped off, chasing after the old man's boat.

The sun slowly rose, and the morning light bathed the river, making the long river seem to be draped in a layer of gold. The green forests and mountains on both banks created a scene that was truly unforgettable. But under this beautiful morning light, an unexpected accident occurred.

An old man's small boat swayed precariously ahead, while another small boat struggled to keep up, but the more it chased, the slower it slowed and the deeper it sank. Soon, water filled the cabin, and the boatman yelled and jumped into the river to swim to shore. The young man on the other boat also hurriedly jumped into the river, looking disheveled.

On the other side of the riverbank, far away, Feng Ning lay in the grass observing the situation in the river. When she saw the young man on the boat jump into the water to escape, she laughed loudly: "Serves you right, you big liar! Serves you right for bullying me and lying to me! Humph!"

She jumped up, brushed the mud off herself, and prepared to leave with satisfaction, but when she turned around, she was startled. She had just seen the person who had jumped into the river standing right behind her.

Long San sighed and called out, "Feng'er..." She had been gone for so long, and this was the first time he had been able to speak to her.

Feng Ning looked at him, frowned, and thought for a long time before asking, "Who's on that boat?"

"I hired a young man."

Feng Ning pursed her lips, thinking to herself that he was just like her. She snorted and asked unhappily, "How did you know?" He had clearly taken the bait, hired a boat, and searched for her all over town.

"Feng'er, you're afraid of water." Long San wanted to sigh again. Was his mischievous wife really going to make him cry before she was satisfied? "I didn't believe you when I heard you were hiring a boat to travel by water. Look at you, even when you want to watch something interesting, you have to choose a far place and lie down to watch. How could you dare to take a boat?"

Feng Ning stamped her foot: "Oh dear, I was worried you would still remember this."

"Of course I remember. I rescued you from the water. You had nightmares for a long time and cried several times because you were afraid of water. How could I forget?" Long San sighed, walked closer to her, and tried to take her hand, but she shook him off. "Feng'er, I was wrong. I shouldn't have kept it from you and lied to you. I know you're still angry with me. You can hit me or scold me if you want, I'll do whatever you want. Why did you choose this method? What if you have nightmares again?"

"That's a great idea! It'll make you look pathetic, and that's exactly what I like." Feng Ning poked his chest. "Since you'll do whatever I say, why don't you follow my method and get on that boat?"

"If I go, won't I never see you again?" Long San held her small hand that was poking his chest and said softly, "You set up a scheme to make me hold a public marriage contest, and a bunch of girls threw handkerchiefs at me. Didn't I put up with it? If you want to vent your anger, haven't I always been very cooperative?"

Feng Ning got angry again when this was mentioned: "When they threw handkerchiefs, why didn't you dodge? Where did they touch you?"

Long San couldn't help but laugh at her jealousy. She was the one who was causing trouble, so why was she the one throwing a tantrum and being dissatisfied even though she got her way?

"What are you laughing at? What's so great about being touched by another woman?"

"No, no, I have always remained chaste and have not allowed them to touch me even with a single finger."

"Hmph, if only you were as precious as jade, I'd sell you for money." Feng Ning glared at Long San a few times, then turned to leave.

Long San followed closely behind her and said, "Feng'er, you may be angry, but it is indeed dangerous for you to go out alone. How about I accompany you?"

"No good." Feng Ning didn't even need to think about it.

Why?

"Because I'm angry."

"That stingy girl, she's still angry after all this time." Long San had no choice but to follow closely behind her, unable to think of anything good to say.

After walking for a long time, they reached the entrance of the town at the foot of the mountain. Feng Ning suddenly turned around and said, "Don't follow me anymore."

"no."

Why?

"Because I always think about you."

Feng Ning felt a mix of pride and joy, but she knew she couldn't forgive him so easily. She had been too obedient and trusting before, which was why they had bullied her like this.

She glared at him, feigning anger: "Don't even think about it! Don't even think about it!"

"I just miss her, I just love missing her." Seeing Feng Ning acting coquettishly towards him, Long San crossed his arms and felt exceptionally good.

"shameless!"

"The same to you!"

Feng Ning was both ashamed and angry, and stamped her feet, shouting, "Third Master Long is a scoundrel, he's so shameful!"

“Mrs. Long is shameless, so Mr. Long has no choice but to be shameless too, otherwise we wouldn’t be a good match.” Mr. Long’s hands were itching. Looking at Feng Ning’s bright eyes and rosy cheeks, he really wanted to touch them. He hadn’t been close to her for a long time and missed her terribly.

Feng Ning pouted angrily, not feeling there was anything wrong with having such a boring and childish conversation with Long San. Long San reached out, about to stroke her cheek, when suddenly he heard a man's voice calling from afar, "Miss Feng..."

Long San turned his head and saw that the person who had called him was a young swordsman dressed in white, carrying a sword on his back and leading a horse. There was also a carriage parked next to him. Judging from his appearance, he was clearly waiting for someone. Could it be that he had arranged to meet Feng Ning at the entrance of town so that they could travel together?

Feng Ning shouted back to the man, "Brother Ma, I'm coming!"

Long San's face darkened, his lips pressed tightly together as he stared at Feng Ning. Feng Ning, annoyed by his gaze, muttered under her breath, "What are you looking at? You can have helpers, why can't I?"

"Miss Feng?" Long San raised an eyebrow, his voice low and dangerous.

“What’s wrong with being a young lady? Master Long has been married for three years and is still unmarried. I’ve been traveling the world for three months. What’s wrong with being a young lady?” Feng Ning crossed her arms, raised her head, and confronted him with a righteous indignation.

Long San stared at her for a long time, his eyes narrowed slightly. To Feng Ning's surprise, his eyes did not reveal ruthlessness, but rather heartache and sorrow.

Feng Ning suddenly felt guilty. She stammered, "You, you, don't think the wrong way! I'm completely innocent and upright. Um, I mean, after I wholeheartedly followed you, I've been completely innocent and upright. The past doesn't count." Speaking of the past, remembering what Long San had done to her, she straightened her back again: "Anyway, I will regain my memories myself. It's inconvenient to inquire about information if I say I'm the wife of the Long family, so I've been hiding things..."

“You can hide it if you want, but attracting a swarm of unwanted suitors is a different matter.” Long San was quite displeased: “If you want to find your memories, I’ll go with you and drive him away.”
