Doppel-Box-Schallplatte - Kapitel 9

Kapitel 9

But which color should I buy?

Ru Feng looked at a white horse and a black horse from left to right, unable to make up her mind. Actually, she wanted the white horse that her master kept in the mountains more, but her master refused to part with it, and the horse was also a bit old.

To be honest, I admire the black horse prince more, but I'm dressed in all white today, which seems better suited to a white horse. Besides, if I wear a blue robe and a black horse, it seems a bit mismatched.

"Young master, have you made up your mind? Both horses are top-notch in speed and robust in physique. They are both excellent horses, and it would be a good deal for you to buy either one. However, I think the white horse suits your dashing appearance better." The horse seller said with a fawning expression.

Ru Feng frowned and made a decision: "Let's buy the dark horse."

So, after paying the money, they simply took the horse and left.

After finding out the direction to Yuezhou, she rode her horse at full speed. Having been away from home for so long, she still missed her family whom she had lived with for six years. Moreover, she had not written a single letter home to her family in the past ten years, so her longing was even stronger.

My master is so unreasonable! He won't even let someone pass on a message!

While inwardly cursing the ruthless sword, Ru Feng urged himself to hurry home.

Finally, after three days of driving, Rufeng arrived in Yuezhou City.

When they arrived at the city gate of Yuezhou, it was still dark and the gate was not yet open, so Rufeng went to wash her face nearby and let her horse rest.

The city gates finally opened, and Ru Feng led his horse inside. He felt a pang of trepidation as he approached home, and suddenly he was afraid to face his family.

The streets were quite crowded in the morning, with fishmongers, breakfast vendors, firewood sellers, and women buying groceries... a lively morning market scene.

As Ru Feng looked around, he suddenly heard a cry of alarm. The sound of horses' hooves grew louder and louder as a red figure galloped from the front, knocking over several roadside shops. The rider swayed from side to side, shouting in terror, "Get out of the way! Get out of the way!"

That's not the worst part. The worst part is that not far in front of the horse, there's a young child standing there, stunned. People around are shouting, and some timid people are already covering their eyes.

Just as the frightened horse was about to trample the stunned child, Ru Feng quickly twisted his waist, like a wisp of white smoke, and swiftly enveloped the child, rolling him aside. At the same time, he used his right hand to pull on the horse's tail, shouted loudly, and the frightened horse reared up high. The rider cried out in alarm and fell to the side.

Like a gust of wind, Rufeng loosened the horse's tail, leaped forward, and caught the man who was screaming wildly in mid-air before gracefully landing on the ground.

At this moment, the crowd on the street realized what had happened. After a moment of silence, they burst into cheers, interspersed with the cries of children.

Ru Feng looked over and saw the child from before crying in his mother's arms, probably terrified. The woman comforted the child while looking at Ru Feng gratefully. Ru Feng waved his hand and then prepared to get his horse, but someone had already picked up his bundle for him.

As Ru Feng leaped onto his horse, he was about to head home when the man who had just fallen from his horse called out, "Thank you for your help, young master. May I ask your name so that my father can come and express his gratitude?"

The woman was also dressed in red, which complemented her little red horse perfectly. Her voice was as melodious as a nightingale's song.

Ru Feng felt relieved and laughed, "It was nothing, Miss, you don't need to worry about it. However, you should compensate the people affected by your horse."

The woman in red blushed slightly and quickly replied, "Of course, it's only right."

Ru Feng nodded and was about to go home when she realized she didn't remember where her house was. Of course, she rarely went out before.

So Ru Feng had no choice but to ask softly, "Excuse me, everyone, how do I get to General Yuchi's residence?"

Immediately, a bunch of enthusiastic people chimed in to help, but Ru Feng couldn't hear them clearly, so he just pointed to a waiter-looking man to answer.

The young man blushed and his heart pounded. He quickly explained the way and volunteered to take Rufeng there. Rufeng shook his head, thanked him, and rode off. After the incident, the street was now an open space, which was perfect for Rufeng to ride his horse.

As everyone watched her retreating figure, they all praised her and speculated about her relationship with the General's Mansion. Meanwhile, the woman in red stood blankly in the middle of the road, gazing in the direction where she had disappeared like the wind.

Ru Feng has a good memory and a strong sense of direction, so she quickly found her way home.

Outside the gate, guards were cleaning. Ru Feng stopped in front of the Yuchi Mansion, looked at the mottled eaves, and felt a mix of emotions. He didn't want to speak.

Only after the gatekeeper had stared at the dashing young man in fine clothes for a long time did he ask suspiciously, "May I ask who you are looking for, young master?"

Ru Feng dismounted and hurriedly said with a smile, "Old Fu, don't you recognize your young master?"

Old Fu had spent his entire life in the Yuchi Manor. Although Ru Feng had grown up and looked quite different from when he was a child, he was overjoyed when he saw the red mole on her forehead and exclaimed, "Is that the young master?"

The voice trembled.

Ru Feng nodded, her hand trembling slightly as she grasped Lao Fu's.

Old Fu was shocked for a moment before he rushed into the mansion, shouting, "Master, young master, the young master is back!"

Soon, the entire Yuchi residence was in an uproar.

Chapter 018 Reminiscing

As Lao Fu shouted, everyone from the Yuchi residence rushed to the main gate, surrounding Ru Feng. They bombarded him with questions about his situation, which Ru Feng answered one by one with a beaming smile. Heh heh, finally back in his own territory.

Many people stared blankly at Ru Feng, while some maids had already gathered in small groups, whispering and discussing among themselves, occasionally stealing glances at Ru Feng in the crowd, their faces flushed.

Soon, all the servants dispersed, and the masters took the stage.

Yu Chi Huaiyang was the first to arrive, and he roared, "Get to your jobs!"

As the crowd dispersed, Ru Feng looked at his grandfather, who was only wearing a white undershirt. His hair was whiter than before, and there were many more wrinkles on his face, but his body was still upright, maintaining the demeanor of a soldier.

Ru Feng walked over, smiled at Yu Chi Huaiyang, and then suddenly hugged him: "Grandpa, Ru Feng is back!"

Tears streamed down Yu Chi Huaiyang's face as he choked out, "It's good that you're back. You have no idea how worried we were about you. You left home at such a young age, and we didn't know how you were doing."

Even though Yuchi Huaiyang was a general of iron will, he couldn't help but worry about his only grandson, after all, he hadn't seen him for ten years.

As Ru Feng released Yu Chi Huaiyang, about to express her longing, she was suddenly embraced by someone who cried out, "Ru Feng, my baby, you're back!"

Ru Feng turned around with difficulty and saw that it was her mother. Her father was also standing next to her.

Another round of weeping ensued, and both sides finally expressed their longing for each other. When everyone moved to the living room, Yu Chi Ruxue finally arrived late.

Looking around, they realized that the other three had run out in their pajamas, while Ruxue, being an unmarried girl, had to dress herself up before going out.

"Her fingers are like slender scallion roots, her lips like vermilion, her delicate steps are exquisite and unparalleled in the world. Sister, it's been ten years since I last saw you, you've really grown into a great beauty." Ru Feng stared at Ru Xue with a lecherous look, drooling.

Ru Xue was a stunning beauty, with skin as smooth as cream and a face as white as jade. She wore a white gauze dress over a lake-blue slip, and could be described as having a beautiful face.

Ru Xue covered her mouth and laughed, her eyes brimming with a bright smile: "Ten years have passed, and my little brother is still as glib as ever, his skills haven't diminished at all."

So the siblings talked for a while longer, and then everyone else went back to get dressed.

The breakfast was incredibly lavish; Lin Yilan wished she could bring out all the snacks that Ru Feng loved in Yuezhou City and make him eat them all.

Ru Feng briefly explained his situation over the past ten years.

“My poor baby, you must have suffered a lot. I was scared when I saw your master that day. Why was he dressed like that?” Lin Yilan stroked Rufeng’s head affectionately, and then suddenly laughed, “Baby used to dislike his hair, but now it’s finally grown out.”

Everyone laughed.

Ru Feng touched his thick hair and laughed, "I was anxious back then because a bald head doesn't look good. I didn't expect that when I stopped paying attention to it, it grew back on its own."

Yu Chi Huaiyang coughed heavily, and seeing everyone looking at him, he said with satisfaction, "Ru Feng, what have you learned in the past ten years?"

Ru Feng quickly put away his smile and replied, "I've only been learning martial arts from my master, and I've already mastered all of his skills. Except for my internal strength, which isn't as strong as his, I'm good at everything else. My master said that my current skills are already unmatched in the martial arts world." Of course, there were some other miscellaneous things, but I won't go into them.

"Then let's go out and have a match with Grandpa first." Yu Chi Huaiyang took the lead and walked out, with Ru Feng quickly following behind.

Seeing Lin Yilan tugging at his sleeve and looking at him with concern, he quickly reassured her, "It's okay, trust me!"

Arriving at the training ground of the Yuchi Mansion, Ru Feng felt a pang of nostalgia. This was where he had built his foundation in martial arts. He recalled how he used to have to get up so early every morning, and how unaccustomed he was to it. Now, however, he had grown accustomed to it.

After waving everyone away, Yuchi Huaiyang and Rufeng each picked a wooden sword from the shelf next to them and returned to the field together.

"Ru Feng, you must do your best. Let me see what you've learned all these years." Yu Chi Huaiyang's expression was very serious.

Ru Feng nodded solemnly.

The two stood with their swords drawn. Suddenly, Yuchi Huaiyang attacked without a word, striking at a vital acupoint on Rufeng's body. Rufeng dared not be careless and quickly performed a beautiful spin in the air, landing several feet away, thus avoiding his grandfather's attack.

"Good!" Yuchi Huaiyang shouted, and then his sword followed his shadow. Ru Feng also shouted, his sword dancing like a dragon, his clothes fluttering in the wind. In the midst of the battle, he seemed to be dancing gracefully, with a leisurely demeanor. Yet, when his sword clashed with Yuchi Huaiyang's, his momentum was astonishing.

Aside from sparring with his junior brothers and sisters, Ru Feng rarely fought with others, even his master.

Yuchi Huaiyang was, after all, a veteran of the battlefield, with rich experience in fighting enemies. His swordsmanship was also characterized by its ability to strike with a single blow, aiming to defeat the enemy in one move. There were no fancy moves, but it was very durable.

So Ru Feng wasn't in a hurry to win, and just kept at it with Yu Chi Huai Yang until he had seen Yu Chi Huai Yang's movements before saying, "Grandpa, is this the swordsmanship of our Yu Chi family?"

Her voice was calm and unhurried, as if the fight hadn't exhausted her at all! Yu Chi Huaiyang was both surprised and delighted. His hands didn't stop moving as he replied amidst the clashing of his movements, "Yes!"

"Not bad!" Ru Feng said, his movements suddenly quickening. His sword strikes came like a storm, rushing towards Yu Chi Huaiyang, leaving him momentarily unable to defend and afraid to advance. Ru Feng then shouted, his sword moving like a dragon, aiming straight for Yu Chi Huaiyang's heart. Yu Chi Huaiyang withdrew his sword, trying to block, but felt an immense force. His sword was knocked away, and just as Ru Feng's sword was about to reach Yu Chi Huaiyang's heart, it suddenly changed direction, stabbing instead into Yu Chi Huaiyang's shoulder.

Yu Chi Huaiyang groaned, and Ru Feng hurriedly dropped his sword and rushed over, calling out, "Grandpa, Grandpa, what's wrong? Did I hurt you?"

Upon hearing Ru Feng's shout, the crowd waiting outside rushed in.

Yu Chi Huaiyang clutched his left shoulder and shook his head: "Even a wooden sword is incredibly powerful. If Ru Feng hadn't temporarily reduced eight-tenths of the force, I probably would have been bleeding on the spot." These words revealed who won and who lost.

Yuchi Huaiyang was, after all, a man in his sixties, and the amount of exercise he had done today had left him breathless. People around him were busy serving him tea and wiping his sweat, while Rufeng, on the other hand, looked calm and composed.

Yuchi Huaiyang laughed loudly and said, "It's a joyous occasion that Rufeng has defeated me today. Our Rufeng has finally surpassed his master and can now join the army." His tone was one of satisfaction.

Upon hearing this, the faces of the people present immediately fell, and they exchanged bewildered glances.

Chapter 019 Proposal

If Yuchi Huaiyang hadn't said that, Yuchi Song and Lin Yilan would have really believed they had a son. Now that Yuchi Huaiyang had said that, the two of them were immediately distressed.

Ru Feng was also troubled. She had absolutely no desire to join the army. She had just come down from the desolate mountains and was now about to enter a place full of men. She hadn't even seen the colorful world of the Violet Kingdom yet! So she was absolutely unwilling to accept it!

They exchanged glances. Ru Feng, unable to withstand the glares of his parents, quickly went behind Yu Chi Huai Yang to massage him: "Grandpa, Ru Feng is only sixteen years old. I started learning martial arts at the age of three and have been learning ever since. Apart from that, I have never done anything else and have never experienced many things. Are you just going to let me rashly join the army? I'm afraid that I will only become a reckless man. Grandpa, I want to be a general, so I want to learn more."

Yu Chi Huaiyang enjoyed the gentle massage and comfortably squinted his eyes, saying, "Didn't your master teach you military strategy? I specifically instructed him to do so."

Ru Feng's heart skipped a beat, and she said, "Grandpa, I have taught you a little, but the most important thing is that I have just returned and have not thought about leaving you so soon. Grandpa, can you really bear to let me go to that faraway frontier alone, pitifully, and crying all by myself?"

Seeing that Yuchi Huaiyang's expression was slightly moved, Yuchi Song quickly chimed in, "Yes, Father, we don't know when Rufeng will be back. I'm really afraid that he will leave like our second, third, and fourth uncles and never come back. What should we do then?"

“Yes, old man, if you really let Rufeng go, I will think that you only treat Rufeng as a puppet to inherit the family business, and you have not considered our feelings or his feelings at all?” Lin Yilan’s voice was choked with sobs.
