Jeune Premier ministre, un ermite - Chapitre 14

Chapitre 14

"Sir, then I will sing a song called 'Midnight Song'."

Seeing that the man had agreed, she began to sing:

As the sun sets at the front gate, I gaze upon Zidu. His beautiful face and elegant hair, along with the fragrance of his perfume, fill the road.

Fragrance comes from perfume, and beauty dares not grace the hall. Heaven does not thwart my wishes, thus allowing me to see my beloved.

She hadn't combed her hair in a long time, and her silken strands covered her shoulders. She stretched gracefully on her lover's lap; how could she not be pitied?

...

"Hehe~~~~~ You sing so well! I never expected you to be so beautiful, and your singing is so beautiful too. It made my heart flutter. Young lady, come here and ask for your reward."

The girl walked up quickly and eagerly, and stood beside the man.

The squinty-eyed man didn't immediately give her the reward. Instead, he touched the girl's face and said, "Little lady, look how yellow your face is. It breaks my heart. Why don't you come back with me? I'll make sure you eat and drink well, okay?" He then pinched the girl's face again.

The girl blushed and timidly looked back at the old man beside her. "Sir, I... I'm not grown up yet."

"Hahaha... Not grown up yet? I think everything that's supposed to grow has grown." With that, a devilish hand covered the girl's chest and even pinched it twice. "I told you so, hee ...

The man's companion had an even more lewd look on his face, several pairs of murky eyes staring intently at the girl's chest.

The girl was terrified and at a loss for what to do, tears welling up in her eyes and falling in a flash. The old man accompanying the girl trembled violently, his eyes filled with a heart-wrenching sorrow.

At this moment, Wei Zijun had reached her limit and really wanted to rush up and break those lewd hands, then throw him out the window. However, she had truly learned of her own limited abilities during the fight that morning, and she was also reluctant to cause trouble for the innkeeper so soon after arriving. In the end, she only clenched her fists and did not make any move, thinking that the man would not do anything rash. She just felt sorry for the old man.

At the table by the window, the man in blue was about to slam his fist on the table, but he didn't move because of the suppressive gaze of the man in black. The man in white watched the scene with a cold face, his thick eyebrows furrowing more and more tightly, but his eyes kept glancing at Wei Zijun, as if observing her expression.

Seeing that the girl could only cry, the squinty-eyed man's lust was aroused even more. "Little lady, don't cry, don't cry anymore, I'll give you a reward right now." He then pointed to his chest, "It's here, little lady, come and take it yourself, hee hee~~~~"

The girl hesitated, not daring to approach, but the man grabbed her hand and said, "Here, come and take it." He then pulled the girl's hand into his clothes.

That's enough! She couldn't stand it anymore.

"Sir! What are you doing, sir?"

Wei Zijun stepped forward and bowed respectfully. "My younger sister is young and doesn't know how to please you, sir. Please forgive her."

The man stopped what he was doing and looked at her. "Is she your sister?" he asked, still holding the girl's wrist.

"It is indeed my younger sister." He then took the girl's hand. "Sir, you are a martial artist and must be incredibly strong. My younger sister is young, frail, and delicate. Please, sir, do me the honor of helping her."

The man listened to her words; her voice, though gentle, was powerful. She spoke slowly and deliberately, neither hurried nor arrogant, as if her magnetic voice possessed an innate, commanding magic. Though unwilling, the man unconsciously released her.

"Haha, actually, I have no other intentions than to marry your little sister. What do you say?"

"Thank you for your kind words, sir. My younger sister is already engaged and will be getting married soon. I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint you."

"Whose relative is he? I'll reject him. I ask you, who in this Lucheng dares to oppose me!" the squinty-eyed man shouted.

"Sir, why do you insist? There are plenty of fish in the sea. Sir, you are brave and valiant, surely a beauty will throw herself into your arms. Why insist on having a sickly girl like my sister?" Seeing that the man was still persistent, Wei Zijun had no choice but to describe the girl as sickly.

Is she sick?

"Yes, you should be able to tell from your expression that my younger sister has been suffering from a chronic illness that has been difficult to cure, causing our wedding to be postponed time and time again. We have been seeking medical treatment for her everywhere, which has led to our family's decline. Alas!" He probably wouldn't dare to keep such a spendthrift and sickly child.

"What disease is so difficult to cure?" the man seemed determined to get to the bottom of it.

Wei Zijun couldn't help but sigh inwardly, "Why did you have to keep asking when I gave you a way out?"

"This...this illness is really hard to talk about...it's...a woman's illness," Wei Zijun said, feigning difficulty as she revealed the cause of her illness.

He should be avoiding talking about a woman's illness, but he had at least helped the poor girl and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

The old man behind her looked at Wei Zijun with gratitude. The three men by the window in front of her, upon hearing this blatant lie, seemed to be trying their best to hide something; their bodies trembled uncontrollably, and their faces were all flushed.

Who knew this pretty boy could act so well?

He's lying—

A detached voice suddenly rang out.

Everyone was shocked and looked toward the source of the sound, which turned out to be the man in black.

"As far as I know, she has no connection with him whatsoever; she's just a street singer." The voice was soft and gentle, spoken slowly, yet it contained extreme destructive power.

Wei Zijun stared blankly at the man in black, utterly astonished. What was he up to?!

"You dare lie to me!" The squinty-eyed man grabbed Wei Zijun's wrist and said fiercely, "Since you pity a beautiful woman, then I'll grant your wish. I've seen plenty of women like this. However..." The man suddenly changed his tone, revealing his lewd nature, "Someone like you would please me even more. As long as you're given to me..." Before he could finish speaking, he had already opened his lewd hands to embrace Wei Zijun.

"Look what you've done!" The man in white glared fiercely at the man in black.

"I want to see who he is. Aren't you curious?" Then he chuckled and added, "And I also want to see him make a fool of himself."

Wei Zijun swatted away the squinty-eyed man's arms and turned to the old man and the child, saying, "Uncle, you go first."

“Once they leave, you have to come back with me.” The squinty-eyed man spread his arms and hugged her again.

Seeing this, the old man was very worried about Wei Zijun, so he stepped forward and pleaded, "Sir, please have mercy and release the young master."

The man pushed the old man with his left hand, and the old man stumbled and fell to the ground.
