The little sparrow emerged from the corner and said in a trembling voice, "Young master."
“Go back to her side,” Kiyomi Tsuki ordered. “Relay my words to her without missing a single one.”
"Yes, I understand."
The little sparrow bowed respectfully, glanced at her sadly, and left the flower hall.
After discussing for a while, they left, leaving the room empty. The wind and rain pounded against the windows, and perhaps unable to bear the biting spring chill, Kiyomi Tsuki's body trembled again.
Who orchestrated all of this? Who was it? Was it him? Yes, it was him.
Hatred flashed in his eyes, and pain coursed through his body in an instant. He stood up abruptly, but a sudden, sharp pain shot through his leg, and he slumped back down. Suddenly, a pair of warm, soft arms embraced him from behind.
"Xiaoqian?"
“It’s me.” Xiaoqian hugged him from behind. “There’s no need to doubt it, young master’s decision is correct. So, please rest assured, young master, please calm down.”
"What's wrong with me?" Kiyomi Tsuki asked.
Xiaoqian said gently, "You're trembling."
"I thought you were gone, but it turns out you've always been by my side."
"This servant will always stay by your side, young master."
Are you scared?
"If you are not afraid, then I am not afraid either."
"I'm very scared."
The rain stopped, the wind blew swiftly, scattering the dark clouds, and the moon cast its pale light upon the earth. The night was hazy; the slender willows near the pond swayed in the breeze, and the spring flowers danced gracefully. Qingfeng hurried up to the Peony Pavilion, pushed open the carved door, and found the room brightly lit. He Yunya stood languidly by the window, seemingly enjoying the spring night after the rain, looking utterly relaxed and carefree.
"You've arrived."
Qingfeng's mellow voice was as captivating as if he were intoxicated, and perhaps due to his excited emotions, it even carried a slight tremor.
He Yunya turned around, the wind blowing her black, silky hair. In the lamplight, she smiled like a little fox spirit, "How could I not come? You need me, don't you?"
Qingfeng snorted, "If I were to kill that old hag and seize the position of fortress lord, would you follow me?"
He Yunya threw herself into his arms and hugged him tightly with all her might, saying, "I will."
Qingfeng stared at the beautiful woman in his arms, "If I'm driven out of Lu Family Fort and have nothing left, will you still stay with me?"
He Yunya pressed her face against his chest and rubbed it gently. "I want you."
Qingfeng frowned. "Don't you care at all?"
“What do I care about?” He Yunya stroked his broad chest and sighed with a look of intoxication. “Being able to hold you and caress you like this makes me so happy. Qingfeng, you are like the big fish that Kang Zhuangzhu gave to Jianyue. Not only are you golden and radiant, but you are also incredibly delicious.”
She looked so hungry that her appearance conjured up an image in Qingfeng's mind: she was a fat fish waiting to be slaughtered, and she was a Persian cat drooling.
Qingfeng was both annoyed and amused. "You don't mean to treat me like a fish and eat me from head to toe, do you?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." He Yunya blushed deeply.
"You are the strangest woman I've ever met, besides Jian Yue." Qingfeng smiled for the first time that evening. "You really intrigue me. Who exactly are you?"
"I love you, I like you, and I want to possess you completely," He Yunya said playfully.
Qingfeng said sternly, "Shameless, aren't you ashamed?"
He Yunya laughed heartily, "Qingfeng, don't you like it? Or do you prefer me to be more reserved? But I really love you so much." She reached out and gently cupped Qingfeng's face in her hands. She was neither timid nor shy, but open and honest, gazing at him with deep affection. "I just can't hold back anymore. I just want to love you with all my might, love you for a lifetime. I'd die for you, and it wouldn't matter if my heart broke. Really, I'm not lying to you, that's really how I feel."
Qingfeng's eyes welled up with tears, his dark eyes, as bright as the stars at midnight, were captivatingly beautiful. The words "I love you" almost escaped his lips as he suddenly pulled her closer.
Aren't you afraid that you'll give all of this, only to end up with nothing?
He Yunya blurted out, "I'm too busy loving you to think about anything else."
Qingfeng looked at her, speechless.
"I think about you every day, constantly thinking about you. I even dream about you at night. In my dream, you say you love me as much as I love you. I'm so happy, it's like I have the whole beautiful starry sky. I hold you, kissing you so hard your lips are swollen. I even touch you, but when I wake up, I realize I'm hugging a pillow."
He Yunya described her beautiful dream without any shyness, but when she talked about waking up and finding that she was hugging a pillow instead of her beloved, she looked dejected, which made Qingfeng both love and like her and want to laugh.
"You see, that's just how I am. I never think about things that make me unhappy, let alone things I shouldn't think about. Only you are the most important. I feel so happy when I think of you, and I want to tell everyone how happy I am."
He Yunya's beautiful dark eyes shone brightly, making her face even more captivating. Qingfeng was smitten and couldn't help but kiss her delicate cheek.
"I was happy to see you in my room. Tonight, I felt empty inside, as if I had returned to those three most difficult years. Looking at those people made me want to vomit. They were actually my relatives, my father's friends. Looking at them, I felt so heartbroken!"
"Who is the most important person in your heart? Of course it's me. As for those who maliciously want to hurt you, make you unhappy, or plot against you, drive them away and never have anything to do with them again."
He Yunya waved her hand, as if shooing away flies.
Qingfeng couldn't help but laugh, "You're such a fickle woman. I think you must be a vixen."
“It has nine tails,” He Yunya added.
Qingfeng burst into laughter again, then suddenly swept her up in his arms and laid her down on the bed. He pressed her down, lowered his head, and kissed her alluring lips as if savoring fine wine.
In the flower hall of the Ice Garden Orchid Courtyard, Qing Jianyue lay sprawled on the lacquered table, her hands cupping her cheeks, staring blankly at the white fox sleeping soundly on the brocade cushion. Little Crow and Xiaoqian sat in the outer hall, boiling water and brewing tea.
“Look at the young master, he’s been sitting there in a daze for almost an hour, and I’ve never seen him so quiet before,” said the little crow.
Kiyomi Tsuki sighed.
