Kapitel 30

"Father! Grandfather!" Master Ren and Ren Tingting immediately knelt down.

"I'm so sorry to have bothered you, sir. I'm truly an unfilial son."

Then, Master Ren glanced at Uncle Nine and immediately stood up: "Uncle Nine, is this tomb still usable?"

"Like a dragonfly skimming the water, if you touch it once and then again, you'll never touch the same spot again; that acupoint is useless."

"What should we do then?" Master Ren was somewhat at a loss.

“I propose we cremate him on the spot.” Uncle Nine stared intently at Old Master Ren inside the coffin.

“Cremation? No, my father was most afraid of fire when he was alive, I can’t do that.”

Master Ren still wanted to rely on his father to be buried in a good burial site so that he could be protected. How could he possibly be cremated?

“Mr. Ren, there will be trouble if we don’t cremate him,” Uncle Nine kindly advised.

"Anything is fine, just not cremation. Think of another way!" Master Ren said firmly.

"Alright! Then we'll temporarily leave them at our mortuary."

"I will find another burial site for the old man tomorrow so that he can rest in peace sooner," Uncle Nine said after thinking for a while.

"Alright! Close the coffin lid and carry it to the mortuary." Captain Wei waved his hand and directed his servants.

"Mr. Ren, please go back first!" Uncle Nine gestured for him to leave.

Then Old Master Ren and Ren Tingting got into the sedan chair and went down the mountain.

"You two light a plum blossom incense array in the tomb, and burn it down—hmm?"

Just as Uncle Nine was about to give instructions to his two apprentices, he suddenly seemed to sense something and turned to look at the distant mountaintop.

A huge snake head stood on the mountaintop, its entire body coiled up, and at a rough glance, it was at least fifty meters long.

"Damn it! How could such a huge python appear here?" Uncle Nine frowned as he looked at Lin Qing.

"Master, what giant python? Where is it?" Qiu Sheng asked.

"Master, do you want to eat snake soup?" Wen Cai asked naively.

"Eat, eat, all you know is eating. You two, look over there." Uncle Nine slapped Wen Cai on the head.

"Wow! Master, what a huge snake!"

"Master, Master, let's go catch it! We can eat it for many days!" Wen Cai's mouth watered.

Uncle Nine slapped him again: "You still want to eat it? It'll probably eat you!"

"Such a big snake must be a spirit. I hope it doesn't come over here," Uncle Nine said, somewhat worried.

He then gave a few instructions and went down the mountain; he needed to go back and make proper preparations.

"Uncle Jiu definitely noticed me; all three of them stared at me for a long time," Lin Qing muttered.

Whatever, I'll have to deal with Uncle Nine sooner or later anyway. After watching Uncle Nine leave, I went down the mountain myself.

As time passed, night fell.

Lin Qing drove through the white fog and arrived at the woods outside Renjia Town. This road was the exit of Renjia Town.

He didn't know where the mortuary was either; he could only wait.

Lin Qing waited there, hoping to ambush Old Master Ren on the road when he turned into a zombie and went to kill his descendants.

Suddenly, a singing voice came from over there:

Her vision, her vision.

Like stars shining

Seeing it makes my heart race.

Her vision, her vision

Ordinary people cannot hear this singing; Lin Qing only heard it after releasing his spiritual power.

Upon hearing that familiar music, Lin Qing knew that the most classic scene was about to unfold.

He then perked up, unleashed all his mental energy, and then he saw it.

Four paper figures carried a red sedan chair, inside which sat the female ghost Xiaoyu.

The sedan chair stopped, and then Xiaoyu flew out and sat gracefully on a tree branch.

Xiaoyu, dressed in a red wedding gown and holding a folding fan, looked at Qiusheng approaching from afar; she was truly beautiful.

Qiu Sheng rode his bicycle along a side path, passing Xiao Yu.

Xiaoyu smiled broadly, and then slowly floated to Qiusheng's back seat.

Xiaoyu waved her red silk scarf behind her, and the bridal sedan chair and paper figures gradually disappeared.

Completely unaware that there was a female ghost on the back seat, Qiu Sheng continued riding his bicycle.

As they passed by a small temple, Lin Qing suddenly discovered that Xiao Yu's ghostly form had actually materialized.

You should know that what he had sensed with his spiritual power earlier was an illusory ghost, which seems to be due to that small temple.

Lin Qing had found it strange when he first saw this scene: why would Xiao Yu be bumped into by a piece of wood?

Moreover, he didn't even chase after Qiu Sheng; he just glanced at the small temple and heard a few laughs before running away.

Lin Qing didn't interfere much; it was Qiu Sheng's good fortune, and he could just wait here for the zombie to come on its own.

The next day, after Uncle Jiu finished discussing matters at Master Ren's house, he, Wen Cai, and Qiu Sheng searched for a burial site.

They didn't return to the mortuary, so that night, the zombie broke out of the coffin. How could such a commotion not alert Uncle Nine and the other two?

"Bang!"

The coffin, which had been placed in the mortuary, was completely shattered, and a hideous zombie rose from it.

The zombie then came to the yard, saw two black sheep, and immediately sucked all their blood dry.

"How boring! Why aren't the zombies here yet!" Lin Qing lay bored in the zombie.

While Lin Qing was waiting, the zombie hopped and skipped around, searching for its offspring.

They didn't take the road where Lin Qing was waiting, but instead took the straight route from the mortuary to the Ren residence.

Zombies aren't human; they don't walk on roads like humans do. They just rampage and walk in straight lines.

Lin Qing misjudged the situation, which resulted in the zombie arriving at the Ren residence unharmed.

"Five times eight equals forty." Master Ren was doing the accounting when he noticed a noise outside and turned to look.

"Bang!" Then came the sound of the glass door shattering.

A hideous zombie burst through the door and hopped over to Master Ren.

"Ah! Ah!"

Mr. Ren was so frightened that he immediately stood up and leaned against the cabinet, forgetting all about running away.

Then, a zombie reached over and stabbed him in the neck, killing him instantly.

The next morning,

Lin Qing didn't sleep all night; he was completely bewildered as to why he hadn't seen any zombies all night.

"Did I remember the time wrong? Or did the zombies enter the town from somewhere else?"

Lin Qing was helpless; he had waited all night for nothing.

"Dong dong dong! A murder has occurred at the Ren residence! Dong dong dong!" The night watchman frantically banged a gong in the street.

Captain Wei then led a group of his men to seal off the Ren residence.

Captain Wei looked at his uncle, who had died such a tragic death, with a bitter expression.

Then it immediately occurred to him that if he married his cousin, he would be able to inherit the Ren family's estate.

Then, he immediately went to Ren Tingting's side: "Cousin, although your uncle is dead, you still have me."

Ren Tingting wiped away her tears with a handkerchief and said nothing.

Afterwards, Uncle Jiu brought Qiu Sheng and Wen Cai to the Ren residence, and Uncle Jiu walked to the body of Master Ren.

When the white cloth was lifted, we saw that Master Ren's face was bluish-black, his eyes were wide open, and there were three bloody holes on his neck.

"Hey, hey, hey! Don't move around." Captain Wei stopped Uncle Nine.

Uncle Nine quickly stood up, nodded in acknowledgment, and then came to Qiu Sheng and Wen Cai's side:

"Go back to the mortuary quickly and see if Old Master Ren's body is still there. Go now."

"Oh!" After saying that, the two hurriedly went back.

To save face, Captain Wei then arrested Uncle Nine as the murderer and brought him back to the yamen.

Lin Qing knew that Master Ren must have died when he saw Qiu Sheng riding a bicycle with Wen Cai out of Renjia Town.

"Holy crap, it seems the zombies really have entered Renjia Town. Looks like I'll have to go to the Ren residence tonight," Lin Qing muttered.

Time passed, and night fell.

Lin Qing released a white mist and slowly climbed into Renjia Town.

There was hardly anyone in Renjia Town at night, so Lin Qing disappeared into the white mist and searched for the Ren family mansion one place at a time.

Renjia Town isn't very big, but it's not small either; I searched for quite a while but couldn't find it.

"Hmm? The yamen. I'm going to find Uncle Jiu and Wencai inside. Master Ren has even turned into a zombie."

Lin Qing used his spiritual power to scan the yamen and found Captain Wei and Qiu Sheng fighting with the zombies.

"Open the door! Open the door! Open the door now!"

Upon seeing the zombies chasing Qiu Sheng, Captain Wei immediately ran to the front gate and pounded on it.

"I won't open the door for anyone."
