Kapitel 40

He then reached out to unbutton Cecil's collar, taking a full half minute to finally find the button. The man couldn't help but sigh, "Are children's buttons made so discreetly these days?"

Chapter Sixty-Five

As soon as she pulled open her clothes, the red spots on her neck instantly caught the eyes of those around her, and tears streamed down Loman's face.

"You didn't know he's allergic to apples?" The bespectacled man looked up at Loman.

Loman paused for a moment, then quickly shook his head: "I...I don't know."

The man sighed and picked up Cecil from the ground, saying to the people around him, "Prepare warm water, the more the better, and make room for me in a spacious seat."

As soon as the man finished speaking, the people around him immediately sprang into action. Seeing Loman crying uncontrollably, a woman couldn't bear it any longer. She stepped forward, patted Loman's shoulder, and said softly, "It's alright, he's our doctor here."

After saying that, he helped move the things.

Within seconds, a place for the two to lie down was cleared out, and several layers of carpet were laid on the ground. The man placed Cecil on one side of the carpet and pinched Cecil's jaw with one hand, forcing him to open his mouth.

Because he was temporarily unconscious, a lot of the warm water leaked out when it was poured in, and his clothes on his chest were soaked.

After drinking the third large cup, the person lying on the blanket finally regained some consciousness, followed by violent coughing. The man patiently patted Cecil's back to help him smooth down the food.

After coughing a few times, Sesil lay back down on the blanket, his once slightly pink lips now turning pale.

With his consciousness somewhat restored, Cecil opened his eyes halfway and looked at the scene before him. It was still all foggy, and he could only see a dark shadow moving back and forth in front of him.

The man rummaged through his pouch and pulled out some medicine. He then used a scraper to lift a piece and was about to approach Sehir when, suddenly, Sehir seemed startled and sat up abruptly, pulling his clothes tighter and hiding to the side.

The man paused for a few seconds, then looked at Cecil and said, "If you don't apply medicine, it will leave a scar."

Sehir's throat was still constricted, and his breathing had become heavier. Only then could he see clearly that he was surrounded by a group of people, and the person who was trying to approach him was not the madman he had just dreamed about.

Sehir loosened his grip, apologized, and then said, "I can do it myself."

The man raised an eyebrow slightly, put the medicine on the scraper back into the medicine bottle, rearranged it, and handed it to Cecil.

"Remember to apply the medicine tonight."

Sesil clutched the medicine bottle, his lips finally returning to normal. The man exhaled and said, "Luckily you didn't eat much, otherwise you might not have made it through the night."

“What’s wrong with me?” Sehir asked, glancing at the large piece of apple pie that had fallen to the ground in the distance.

The man looked puzzled and asked, "You didn't know you're allergic to apples?"

Cecil paused for half a second, then shook his head at the man. The man was startled at first, then sighed slightly: "Remember not to touch Apple again."

Hearing the man's words, Cecil nodded and asked, "May I ask how you are addressed?"

"Sir?" The man paused in his hand as he put away the medicine bottle, his face filled with even more confusion.

Sehir immediately realized something was wrong and quickly changed his mind with a smile: "I want to know my uncle's name."

The man stuffed the extra medicine bottles into his pocket and smiled slightly. "Just call me Neil."

Cecil gave an innocent smile, her eyes curving into a beautiful arc: "Thank you, Uncle Neil."

Neil nodded, covered Cecil with the blanket, and looked around at the people: "Is it alright if this child rests here tonight?"

“Sure! Why not!” a man stepped forward and said, and instantly the people around him echoed his sentiment.

"Go to sleep, go to sleep, this child is so cute."

"Get some rest, see you tomorrow."

After he finished speaking, everyone around him dispersed. Sehir didn't see any forced expression on their faces; it was as if they were willing to give up their spots, which surprised Sehir.

Most of the people had left, except for Loman, who stood in the corner, his tear stains almost completely dried.

“Come on up.” Sehir made room for her.

Loman looked aggrieved, climbed up and sat down next to Cecil without saying a word.

The group from before had already found places to rest. Cecil looked into the distance, then turned to Loman and asked, "Why are they so nice to us?"

In Sehir's eyes, the people outside were all interacting with each other for their own benefit; he had never met anyone other than Isri who was willing to treat him well.

Seeing that Cecil didn't blame him, Loman replied in one breath, "There are still quite a few kind people."

Is that so? Sehir tilted his head, staring blankly at the medicine bottle in his hand.

I wish that were true.

Sehir dug out a piece of medicine, which felt cool when he applied it to his skin. Having never applied medicine himself before, Sehir could only haphazardly apply it to himself based on his memory of Isri's actions.

The medicine was applied too thickly and too thinly to different areas of her body, making Loman, who was watching, almost burst out laughing.

"Brother, how about I help you?"

Saisil looked at the medicine bottle in her hand that she had almost emptied, then looked at Loman beside her, and finally, with her ears turning red, handed the medicine bottle to Loman.

Lohman moved very lightly and with exceptional skill. After a moment of silence, Cecil opened his mouth and asked, "Why are you following me?"

Loman's hand trembled almost imperceptibly. After a long while, she smiled and opened her mouth to explain, "My brother and sister look very alike, and since my brother is alone, I followed him."

Having heard the word "sister" repeatedly from Loman, Cecil became curious and asked, "May I ask your sister's name?"

Loman's hand, which was applying the medicine, didn't stop. Following Cecil's words, he said, "My sister's name is Regina."

In an instant, Sesil's mind went blank, his pupils widened, and his voice became involuntarily excited: "What did you say your sister's name was?"

Loman was startled by Cecil's sudden action, blinking twice before speaking: "Regana."

Sesil swallowed hard, a chill instantly rising from his tailbone, his fingertips growing cold involuntarily: "Did your sister tell you the origin of your name?"

Loman was completely baffled by the question, but she still answered, "My sister said that it was given to her by our mother. She said that our mother really liked the name 'Gana'."

Oh, right!

Sehir's eyes widened again, and he asked, "Did your sister mention anything else? Like anything about family or something?"

Chapter Sixty-Six

Lohman was stunned. Seeing Cecil's nervous expression, he frowned and began to think.

Sehir felt like his eardrums were about to burst. He remembered the name Regina very clearly; it was the name of his biological sister, and his mother had been uttering it to him constantly.

As the second son born, Sehir inherited the position of head of the family from birth and began his studies, barely even seeing his older sister a few times.

But ever since she learned about her younger brother, Regina would secretly visit Sesil every time she came. In addition, her mother kept talking about him, so Sesil had an exceptionally deep understanding of the name and the person.

Thinking of this, Sesil's gaze fell on Loman. They were so alike. Loman's light blonde hair and blue eyes were so similar to his own, as if they had been carved from the same mold.

But when did he realize that there was a third child in the family?

While Sesil was still wondering, Loman suddenly seemed to realize something and said, "My sister never specifically mentioned it, she only occasionally said that I was some kind of nobleman or something. I think my sister was lying to me."

“What nobleman!” Sesil’s eyes lit up when he heard Loman say that.

Loman choked back, shifting his body slightly so that his double chin was squeezed out: "I think it was called something like... something like K.S., but it's been so long, I've almost forgotten."

Lohman gave an awkward laugh. Sesil's heart felt like it had been struck a heavy blow. His expression turned serious, and he spoke slowly and deliberately, "Kerry, Tiss?"

"Yes! That's it!" Loman suddenly realized and clapped his hands.

Sehir clenched his fists, looking at Loman in front of him, tears welling up in his eyes. He paused, then pointed with trembling fingers towards the lower right side of his left eye and asked, "Does she have a red mole here?"

Lohman was momentarily surprised: "How did you know? You know my sister!"

Sesil gritted his teeth and lowered his head. Yes, that was right. The sister Loman mentioned, Regina, was his biological sister, and the Loman in front of him was his brother.

“How did she…” Cecil clenched his teeth even tighter, his voice barely audible: “...die?”

In the secluded space, only two people sat in the middle of the blanket. The warm lights around them were of no use. Both of them felt as if they had fallen into a cold cave. It was so quiet that they could clearly distinguish each other's breathing.

Lohman shrank back, burying his head in his knees. After saying those words, he felt that something was amiss, and the relationship between the two seemed to be connected by something subtle.

“Sister, she was taken away…” Loman finally spoke: “It was that strange man who talked to you before.”

Just as Cecil was about to ask further, Loman looked up, his eyes already red and swollen from rubbing, tears still welling up in the corners of his eyes: "Brother."

Sehir was stunned for a moment.

"I don't want to talk about my sister, is that alright?" Loman's voice sounded a little hoarse.

Seeing Loman's state, Sehir didn't ask any questions and kept quiet. In the end, Loman burst into tears and curled up in the blanket to sleep.

Inside the quiet cabin, the constant sounds of wind and waves drifted in from outside, like the endless groans of hell, as if demons were praying for people to worship them.

Just like the so-called Judgment Day, everything will change subtly, as if everything is meant to happen and everything is preordained.

It was both a blessing and a curse that he was not the only one alive in this family. Sehir leaned against the window, tilting his head to look outside.

It was pitch black and nothing could be seen. The large snowflakes fell onto the window and quickly disappeared.

It was too short; in the blink of an eye, everything changed.

Instead of retreating to sleep, Sehir sat quietly by the window all night, watching the sun rise over the sea and hang in the sky.

While the people in the other shops had already started moving around, Sehir remained seated, watching outside until the sun had fully risen and there was no fog in the sky.

Cecil stretched his stiff body slightly, looked at the still-sleeping Loman, and a slight smile appeared on his dry lips.

Maybe it feels good to escape.

——

After a while, Neil walked over and gently tapped the partition next to him, saying, "We've served the food. Remember to eat when your brother wakes up."

Sehilton glanced at him, then looked back at Loman, before turning to Neil with a smile and saying, "Understood, Uncle."

It seems they really have become like brothers now.

It was almost noon when Loman finally got up from under the blanket. He seemed to have never slept so soundly before; his eyes were still closed when he sat up.

"Good morning, brother." Loman opened his mouth and gave a simple, honest smile.

Cecil grunted and got up to straighten his clothes. Just finding the buttons had tormented him for most of the morning.

"Get ready, let's eat." Sehir opened his mouth.

Loman got up, folded the blanket into small pieces, glanced out the window, and suddenly shouted excitedly, looking at Cecil with his mouth agape: "Brother, we've arrived in East Asia!"

Sehir was also stunned for a moment, looking out the window at the continent that was gradually approaching, his blood pressure soared to its highest level once again.

We've finally arrived.
