Kapitel 74

Bonal Irene chuckled, clearly annoyed by Cecil's words.

“I have never had any dealings with your butler, but I know that he is currently with my sister and things don’t look good.”

Upon hearing this, Cecil froze for half a second, then looked at the person in front of him: "What do you want to get out of this?"

"The throne." Bonar Irene's smile remained enigmatic.

Sehilton paused, then curled his lips into a smile: "It seems I can't help you with this matter."

"Your relationship with your butler isn't that simple, is it?"

Bonal Irene was still smiling, her face showing no sign of aggression, but her words sent a chill down Cecil's spine.

“Isn’t it still a threat in the end?” Cecil said, steadying his voice.

"Let's just say that."

"What do you want me to do?" Sehir opened his mouth.

“Don’t be nervous, just do your own thing.” Bonal Irene held out her hand, and the man behind her handed her a delicate little pistol.

“This is for your self-defense if necessary.” Bonal Irene placed the gun on the table. “If I’m not mistaken, you probably want to go rescue your butler.”

Cecil frowned slightly, almost imperceptibly, and reached out to pick up the pistol on the table to test its weight.

Bonal Irene was right; her mood had already started to go astray after the phrase "the situation is not optimistic" was uttered.

Even though I hated him so much before, now that he's out of sight, I'm starting to feel anxious. I want to see him right away.

Sehir slowly raised his hand and placed it on his heart, which was beating faster than usual. This always happened whenever he thought of Isri.

"Is the Duke feeling unwell?" Bonal Irene asked with concern, looking at Cecil's pale face.

"It's nothing, thank you for your concern." Cecil raised his hand and rubbed his temples. "Around what time?"

Bonal Irene smiled again and took the envelope from the man next to her: "This is the address of the residence. You are welcome to come anytime."

Sehir took the envelope, and Bonal Irene stood up from her stool, her hand naturally resting on the arm of the man beside her.

Just as she reached the door, as if remembering something, Bonal Irene turned around, her smile unchanged.

"However, if this drags on for too long, I may not be able to guarantee whether your butler will still be alive."

?

A note from the author:

At this point, I need to explain that Sehir suffered from a mild form of Stockholm syndrome.

The reason is that he was deeply traumatized when he escaped, and coupled with his long-term imprisonment by Isri, the double trauma would affect Ceshir's nerves.

They might reject some people who try to be helpful, and might even unconsciously favor Islam.

Chapter 123

Sehir's brow twitched, and his expression was not good. Only after the others left did he lower his head and open the envelope in his hand.

To Cecil's surprise, Bonal Irene was not in the palace or the suburban castle, but in an inconspicuous village.

Just then, Hall lifted the curtain and walked in. He looked at Cecil's face and asked, "Young Master, what happened just now?"

Sehir closed the envelope, stuffed it into his pocket, and calmly opened his mouth: "Isri is now in the Queen's hands."

Upon hearing this news, Hall was also somewhat surprised, his eyes widening: "What is she planning to do!"

Sehir let out a breath and shook his head, indicating that he didn't know either.

Hall pulled out a chair, his already furrowed brows furrowing even more deeply: "That person just told you that? Who is she?"

“I’m sorry, I can’t tell you.” Sehir pushed the pistol behind his back into the blanket.

“Okay…” Holden paused, but didn’t press further: “So what do we need to do now?”

"Help me recover as soon as possible," Cecil said, rubbing his still somewhat numb legs.

Hall relaxed his clenched hands and exhaled a breath he had been holding back.

"Okay, I understand."

After Hall left, Cecil lay back down on the bed, turning to his side and curling his legs up.

The scar on my wrist had formed a raised, fleshy scab, pinkish-red in color, twisted and coiled around my wrist, looking rather disgusting.

Sehir stretched out his hand and gently stroked it, as if he was carefully recalling everything that had happened before. After a while, Sehir flattened his hand and looked up at the ceiling.

Islam, it's all thanks to you...

-

It took Cecil two whole days just to recover. The immense discomfort in his legs, coupled with his inexplicable anxiety, caused him to fall several times on the way.

"What are you in such a hurry for?" Paddy asked, standing behind Cecil, with a hint of pity.

Sehir glanced behind him, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and his eyes sharpened considerably: "None of your business."

Pedi also pursed his lips. He had suffered quite a few losses at Cecil's hands, and couldn't help but open his mouth and say a few words.

"Why are you so irritable? Who can put up with you? I bet the person who brought you here didn't want to see you, that's why they ran away."

There were hardly any people in the alley, so even if people were speaking in hushed tones, you could still hear the gist of it. In addition, Cecil's hearing was already quite good, so when Paddy said that, Cecil's eyes instantly darkened.

As Pedi was talking to himself, the next second, his collar was lifted up and he was shoved against the wall.

"What did you say?" Cecil's tone was more agitated than usual, and the anger in his eyes had increased.

Paddy was startled by Cecil's sudden action, and her fair neck turned slightly red due to the change in her emotions.

But Cecil was younger than him, and Paddy didn't want to be outdone, so he grabbed Cecil's wrist.

Whether it was due to irritating the wound or exerting too much force, Cecil suddenly lost his strength, and his expression turned ugly.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Paddy increased the strength in his hand, grabbed Cecil's arm and flung him aside.

Sehir lost his footing, took a few steps back, and sat down on the ground with a thud.

A sharp pain suddenly shot through his back, and Cecil's face turned purplish-blue. He sat on the ground for a long time, unable to get up due to the pain.

Pedi realized he had gone a bit too far, but ultimately he couldn't bring himself to reach out to Lasshill.

After watching for a while, he turned around and left.

Sehir frowned, clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction, and looked at his hand, which was still trembling from the pain, with a gloomy look in his eyes.

-

On the morning of the second day, which he had finally endured, Sehir was already ready to leave before dawn.

Just as I was about to open the door, Hall's voice suddenly came from behind me.

"Young Master, where are you going?"

These words instantly froze Sehir's blood. A second later, Sehir slowly opened his mouth: "To the palace."

Hall stood behind him without speaking immediately, as if hesitating about something, his expression no better than Cecil's.

"Then, young master, please be careful. I'll wait for you to come back."

Cecil curled his lips into a smile and responded softly.

The village wasn't far from here, just a ten-minute walk away. Sehir deliberately pulled his hat down low to cover his bright golden hair.

It seemed that the other party had completely grasped Cecil's movements. As soon as they arrived at the village gate, a carriage stopped outside, and the bespectacled man from before stood beside the carriage.

“Duke, please.” The man bowed and said.

Lifting the curtain, Bonal Irene was wearing a burgundy dress today. Chen's skin was even whiter, and her pale lips were now adorned with lipstick, making her look even more assertive.

“Thank you for your help, Duke,” Bonal Irene said with a smile.

Sehir settled into his seat, leaning against the corner: "I don't think I'm that important to the princess. This upheaval makes no difference to you whether I'm here or not. I'm just a byproduct."

Bonar Irene looked Cesil up and down, a beautiful smile curving her lips: "As expected of someone I admire. Once I ascend the throne, you will be showered with riches and honors."

Sehir turned his head, his face showing respect: "Thank you... Your Majesty."

Bonal Irene was taken aback for a moment, then chuckled in a low voice, "Kreitis, I'm really growing to like you more and more."

Cecil feigned a smile. Bonal Irene was the most uncontrollable factor. Although things were still uncertain, Bonal Irene was far better at getting things done than the current Queen.

So why didn't Bonal? Irene take power directly back then, but instead remained behind the scenes? The reason is simple: she simply wanted to see how much control the current queen, her own younger sister, could have.

Given the current situation, seeking refuge with Bonal Irene is the best option, and this change of events will be 100% successful.

There is only one thing to worry about now, and that is Islam.

The carriage started moving, and the atmosphere inside became tense. Cecil, who had been in one position for a long time, was starting to feel the strain on his back. He was just about to move around when he was stunned by what the person opposite him said.

Bonal Irene leaned against the car window, her eyes half-closed as she looked at Cecil, her tone neither loud nor soft.

"You can rest assured that I will not pursue the matter between you and your deacon."

Sesil swallowed hard, looking warily at Bonal Irene, and asked fearlessly, "Since when exactly did you start noticing me?"

Chapter 124

The atmosphere inside the car visibly froze for a few seconds. Just as Cecil was about to change the subject, Bonal Irene spoke first.

Bonal Irene lowered her eyes and chuckled softly, meeting Cecil's gaze. "Perhaps a long time ago." She paused, then continued, "I admire your stubborn spirit."

"The kind you mean?" Cecil tentatively opened his mouth again.

Bonal Irene's eyes dimmed slightly, her tone rising slightly, and her enunciation clearer than usual: "Do you really want me to explain it step by step?"

Cecil gave a slightly awkward smile and replied, "No need, thank you, Your Majesty."

Upon hearing the last two words, Bonal Irene finally managed a smile: "You really are my type."

-

The carriage moved quickly, and perhaps because of the discomfort on board, this journey felt like walking on a needle's point for Cecil.

Bonal Irene glanced out the window and said, "Later, I'll leave you outside the palace, and you can go in by yourself."

Cecil nodded, instinctively reaching for the pistol behind him. After a second or two of hesitation, he took it out from his waist and placed it on the seat.
