Kapitel 2

"Get out of my way!" Gu Yan kicked him away and shouted, trying to get closer to her phone in her pocket at an angle where she wouldn't be noticed. "This is 'WADY'. Don't mess around. If anyone dares to touch me today, either kill me to silence me, or someone will definitely tear you all apart! You're not stupid, you're just out looking for some fun. Here's some cash and these cards. The PIN is 413251. Take them and spend them, and we'll call it even."

The thugs looked at each other, somewhat stunned. This woman seemed to have quite a background.

The blond man's hands still retained the slippery feeling from their earlier tryst, and his angle was perfect for looking down at Gu Yan's neckline. His blood was boiling, and the spot where he had been kicked was still throbbing. He was consumed by lust, knocked the purse out of Gu Yan's hand, straddled her, pressed her down on the sofa, and tore at her thin clothes.

"I don't want money, I want the person!" He groped her body.

Upon seeing this, the others were filled with lust and loudly echoed their sentiments. Several helped the golden retriever subdue the struggling Gu Yan, while others dragged Xiao Li over and began groping her.

That person

When Li Yan grabbed the blond-haired man by the hair and punched him to the ground, he clearly felt the resentful looks from the elites. It was one thing to use a sledgehammer to crack a nut, but to actually have to send in aircraft carriers like them.

Little did these guys know that the man had almost brought the entire special team over. After all these years of risking their lives, they had never seen him look like that when he answered the phone—astonished, flustered, and overjoyed.

"Are you alright?" Li Yan asked in a low voice, draping his coat over Gu Yan.

Gu Yan bit her lip and sat up, then hummed in agreement.

The two were feeling awkward when the door crashed down with a loud bang.

Liang Feifan appeared at the door with a large group of people. He walked at the front, not looking at anyone, took off his coat, quickly wrapped it around Gu Yan, picked her up and carried her out.

As they passed the door, he tossed Li Yan's coat onto Ji Nan, whose face was stiff, and said to Rong Yan, "Keep an eye on them, don't touch what should be left."

Rong Yan nodded, knowing that his boss was going to personally deal with the person who had touched Gu Yan. Chen Yubai, carrying the unconscious Xiao Li, left with a grim expression, leaving the same message as Liang Feifan.

The man in charge of this area was a middle-aged, overweight man. Wiping the cold sweat from his brow, he bowed and scraped as he saw Liang Feifan and Chen Yubai off. The young, blond-haired guy rushed up and grabbed the overweight man's leg, "Boss—"

"—Big my foot!" The fat man quickly declared his disassociation, kicking the blond-haired guy away. Damn it, what bad luck! These blind fools had caused such a huge mess. Thanks to them, this was the first time he'd ever seen all six of these "Buddhas" together.

The blond-haired man tried to beg for mercy, but a chair flew out and slammed into his back, knocking him to the ground. Ji Nan, gripping Li Yan's coat, brandished a chair leg and charged into the howling thugs. Rong Yan couldn't stop him, so he simply let him go with a grim face. Qin Song and Li Weiran watched as their usually calm Fourth Young Master Ji flew into a rage, casually stretching their muscles to the side. "Hey Sixth Brother," they said, "you're really seeing your enemy, aren't you? That kid surnamed Li certainly gave you a hard time back then."

"Hmph, they didn't fare any better. I took down eight of them and only broke two ribs."

"Useless."

"Damn, the one with the broken nose is the real loser, isn't he?"

"Damn it, I didn't throw that punch to block that baton for you!"

"Hey Fifth Brother, you can talk, but why resort to violence!"

"I'm kicking you, you heartless bastard! You were laughing at me this morning, weren't you... Damn it, you dare to fight back!"

"Am I stupid enough not to fight back..."

Gu Yan curled up against Liang Feifan's chest, feeling him trying to suppress the violent heaving of his chest.

I knew he was definitely angry, but he didn't yell at me, so I didn't feel comfortable apologizing.

The two remained silent the entire way.

When they got home, he carried her upstairs and put her on the bed. He then turned around and brought in a glass of hot milk. "Drink this and rest."

"Feifan—" Gu Yan grabbed his hand. He froze, seeing her pitifully huddled under the covers, her little face all scrunched up, and his heart softened instantly. He sat down on the edge of the bed with her, but his expression remained cold.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have sent Ah Hu and the others away." Ah Hu was the bodyguard he had assigned to her. He had been with her ever since she arrived. Today, she planned to go crazy with Xiao Li, but she was afraid that Ah Hu would stop her and not have enough fun, so she made up an excuse to send him away.

"It's okay. You go to sleep first." He tried to control his emotions.

"I... want to take a shower first. I've been sweating a lot and my body feels sticky."

Liang Feifan felt that he wanted to kill someone!

When Gu Yan came out after showering, she saw him still sitting on the edge of the bed. She was slightly surprised, as his complexion seemed even worse than before.

It was such a harrowing day; she fell asleep almost immediately after lying down. Liang Feifan didn't leave, watching her gradually regain her breathing and drift peacefully off to sleep. A growing resentment rose in his heart. He had known her for ten years, and he knew how sensitive and fragile she had once been. Yet, for the seven years she had been by his side, she had always maintained this carefree attitude. He knew better than anyone that she didn't care! She had buried her heart in the past seven years.

How many more seven-year periods do you need before I'm the first person you think of when you're in danger?

In Gu Yan's dream, however, was filled with Liang Feifan. A thin layer of sweat clung to his bronze skin, conforming to the contours of her body, their textures seemingly mirroring each other. His immense heat was buried within her, his pulse throbbing, creating a duality within her heartbeats…

"Mmm..." Gu Yan woke up from her erotic dream. Before she could fully process the reality of returning to her senses, a familiar, tingling, and warm sensation came from her lower body. Liang Feifan had his hands on either side of her pillow to prevent his tall body from pressing down on her as she slept. Seeing that she had finally woken up, he covered her with his entire body, biting her lower lip and sticking his tongue inside, enticing her to suck wildly on her warm and slippery clitoris. Her mouth was completely blocked by his large tongue, and even with her small nostrils flared, she couldn't breathe properly. She struggled, and her body became even more tense with each struggle.

Seeing that she was about to faint, he released her swollen mouth and turned his attention to her full breasts, which were heaving as she gasped for breath. His large hand covered her mouth, which he couldn't reach, and his hot palm kneaded them forcefully. Gu Yan, slightly waking from the oxygen deprivation, heard his soft, swallowing moans and felt his tongue envelop her tip, biting it slightly, his large hand kneading it. Waves of tingling sensations spread through her, yet he didn't move. She couldn't resist and automatically bent her legs, wrapping them around his waist, writhing, rubbing his sensitive areas with the warmest flesh of her body.

Liang Feifan had come with a belly full of anger to vent, but he found that he hadn't made any progress at all. Her slight initiative made him lose his composure and even feel deeply moved.

"You little thing!" He bit her swollen little mouth hard, pulled her up, and thrust into her heavily. She had been waiting for this for a long time, and even though her mouth was sealed, she still groaned.

"Mmm...mmm..."

He released her mouth, letting her moan and cry out. He loved to love her in her half-asleep state, watching her become a completely different person because of his movements, writhing and groaning beneath him, calling his name in the softest, most tender tones.

"Call my name!" He was aroused, thrusting himself deep inside her with each stroke, grinding against her, then withdrawing to the entrance and forcefully plunging in again. The heat grew stronger with each friction, and she gradually couldn't bear it anymore, sobbing and crying out his name, hoping he would finish quickly.

"Say you love me..." he whispered in her ear during the last few rapid thrusts.

She trembled all over as he ejaculated hotly, reaching another climax without realizing it.

how long?

It was already very late when Li Yan returned to headquarters.

The man standing by the window had half his face hidden in the moonlight, remaining silent for a long time. Just as Li Yan thought he wouldn't ask and turned to leave, he suddenly spoke, "Where is she?"

"Liang Feifan took him away." Could he bring him back? If he does, would he dare to see him?

Fang Yicheng's eyes twitched slightly, and he unconsciously reached out to touch the phone in his bag again.

Watching his actions, Li Yan sighed inwardly. That old phone wasn't the one he usually used, but he never left it behind. Based on Li Yan's professional eye, there should only be one number on it.

At the meeting a few hours earlier, Fang Yicheng, who was sitting next to Li Yan, had a faint single-string melody playing in his pocket. This man, who was rumored by his superiors to be the pillar of the C City police force for the next fifty years, panicked, knocked over his cup, pushed over his chair, and ran out. He was no longer the composed and steady man he usually was.

Gu Yan's influence is truly... terrifying.

Fang Yicheng's phone rang again. Li Yan paused, then quickly retreated.

Fang Yicheng was met with a deep male voice.

Thank you.

"Of course."

Two short sentences of dialogue, two angry men.

Liang Feifan gently placed the phone back where it belonged. Gu Yan slept soundly on the bed, oblivious to his surroundings. A few bruises were visible on her fair arm, which was exposed outside the blanket. He gently stroked it; her skin seemed particularly thin. After a passionate encounter, the bruises would remain for days. In the summer, it would be difficult to conceal them, so she resentfully ignored him for several days. He coaxed her, making promises and vows, but the next time, he still couldn't control his strength.

In fact, when he first met her that year, he knew that she was an uncontrollable part of his life.

Seventeen-year-old Gu Yan, dressed in white with black hair, bright eyes and white teeth, bumped into him as he hurried upstairs at the corner on the second floor.

Liang Feifan would never forget that afternoon. The early summer sun shone brightly, and the girl stumbled back several steps because of his forceful stomp. After regaining her balance, she leaned against the wall, tilting her head slightly to examine him. Her small, rosy lips, which he had wanted to bite and never let go of the moment he saw them, were slightly open in surprise.

But at that time, there was a Fang Yicheng.

As proud as Liang Feifan was, he completely ignored the turmoil in his heart.

On that rainy night, when he picked up her kneeling unconscious outside the Gu family's gate, he felt an unprecedented joy and excitement that made his hands tremble slightly. He carried her in the heavy rain for an hour. If Rong Yan hadn't reminded him of Gu Yan's health, he probably would have walked until dawn.

Liang Feifan was lost in his memories, sitting there watching and thinking, until the sky gradually brightened.

He held her small hand slightly, and Gu Yan woke up. Seeing him staring intently at her, she instinctively wrapped herself tighter and asked lazily with her eyes half-closed, "What are you thinking about? Why aren't you moving?"

Liang Feifan stared at her for a long time before finally making up his mind, "Gu Yan, let's talk."

Over the past seven years, he had considered having an open and honest talk with her, but the thought of dredging up that painful and embarrassing past made him hesitate. No one knew better than him how much she...regretted it.

Now, with Fang Yicheng's appearance, her reaction made it impossible for him to ignore what had stood between them all these years. She would suffer once, or he would suffer for a lifetime; though extremely unwilling, he decided to try the former.

"kindness?"

Gu Yan looked at him with a smile, seemingly having no intention of getting up.

He frowned, waited a moment, and said, "What I mean is, let's talk about our past, present, and future. I have something to say to you, and something I want to hear from you. Get up and wash up; I'll wait for you in the study."

"But I'm still sleepy." She curled up tighter in the blanket and closed her eyes. She seemed uninterested in his talk of "past, present, and future."

"You've been sleeping for a long time, you should get up and eat something. How about we eat and chat?"

"not good."

Liang Feifan was furious. Normally, he would indulge and protect her no matter how willful she was, but now, couldn't she see the anger simmering within him? What did he mean to her with such indifference?

"I'll say it again, get up." His voice was already ice-cold.

Gu Yan finally poked her head out from under the covers, looking at the man who had been angry the whole time with a puzzled expression. How could there be such an awkward man? If he was unhappy, he should just say so. Why did he have to put on such a scary face? He would even climb on top of her while she was sleeping, disturbing her peaceful sleep, making her feel like her limbs had been disassembled and reassembled. Once he felt refreshed, he would want to "talk." But now, what was wrong with him? He looked like he wanted to devour her—"I'll say it again, no," she said stiffly, mimicking his tone, before shrinking back under the covers.

She knew he would never lay a hand on her, but usually when he was so angry, he would slam the door and leave, and she would go back to sleep. Why was there no sound today?

She slowly peeked out from under the covers, only to find him already standing in front of the bed, looking down at her coldly. She pouted, about to slip back under the covers to catch up on her sleep.

"How long will it take you to forget him?" he finally asked.

She was stunned.

"Tell me, how many seven-year periods will it take before the number you dial in that situation is mine?"

"You know how I've treated you. These seven years, at least you'd say something in return, right? Do you expect me to spend my whole life by your side?" He lowered his stance even further, hoping that even pity would be enough for her to be willing to share her feelings with him.

Gu Yan's temples throbbed, and her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her throat. So she had dialed his number; no wonder Li Yan had rushed over. And Liang Feifan… she suddenly felt a pang of sadness.

"Feifan, I know you're good to me," she replied weakly, curling up even tighter.

He sneered. Be good to her? What good would it do? Even if he gave her his heart, she would only feel fear at most.

“Answer me.”

Answer me!

Liang Feifan felt suffocated by her silence.

Finally, he raged. While he still had the sanity to control himself from harming her, he strode away.

Hearing the sound of the front door opening and closing, Gu Yan buried herself in the blanket.

How long will it take for me to forget him?

Then, her mother, her only family, suddenly passed away, and her father, whom she had never met, suddenly appeared. That summer, she experienced the most tumultuous time of her life. The handsome young man in black emerged from behind her father, silently taking her luggage. His long, slender fingers were warm yet strong, and with a slight smile, his handsome face shone like a star in the sky. At that moment, summer was in full swing, the air thick with the sweltering heat, cicadas chirping, dust motes dancing in the beams of sunlight. And then, in that instant, everything suddenly fell silent, the world utterly still.
