Heiraten - Kapitel 26

Kapitel 26

The pressure on his neck suddenly eased, and Nineteen fell heavily to the ground, breathing in fresh air in large gulps.

"Yours?" Tian Shu's face was so gloomy it could scare someone to death.

"What's it to you, you pervert!" Nineteen was still panting, her face showing no kindness whatsoever.

Tian Shu's face alternated between pale and flushed, his hand gripping the jade pendant trembling slightly. Wu Yuan and Zi Nu had already retreated outside, not daring to look any longer. His expression was uncertain, the muscles in his face twitching, as if he were experiencing some great pain.

"You pervert! Give it back to me." Nineteen stomped her breath and glared at Tian Shu. This jade pendant was given to her by Tian Xiu. Although she didn't like it, she didn't want to lose it.

Ruohanxing's eyes, as cold as stars and as black as lacquer, looked at her, as deep as an ancient well, exuding a chill.

Tian Shu's brows furrowed tightly, and he slowly reached out a hand towards her, but then stopped: "Go, go quickly!" His voice trembled so badly it was frightening.

"What?"

He threw the jade pendant back at her, his tone becoming increasingly uncertain: "Go quickly, before I change my mind!" Nineteen was full of suspicion. Although she really wanted to beat him up to vent her anger, wise men know better than to fight a losing battle, so she suppressed her anger.

"You better pray you don't fall into my hands one day!" Nineteen uttered a harsh remark, and just as he turned around, he heard the sound of a weapon piercing flesh behind him. "I will get my revenge tenfold!"

Tian Shu's face twisted into an even more terrifying expression as he gripped the Emei Dagger that Zi Nu had just dropped, and plunged it viciously into his own shoulder.

"roll!"

Startled by his appearance, Nineteen took a few steps back, frowned, and without thinking twice, turned and ran.

It was already past midnight, and Nineteen, clutching her reopened wound, stumbled aimlessly up the mountain. She had never had a good sense of direction to begin with, and now that it was dark, she was completely blind. Sometimes she would look at Sirius in the sky, and sometimes she would wander east and west, but she couldn't find her way back to the city.

Tianxiu...

Shen Yun is talking...

I haven't been back for so long, don't they worry at all?

The pain from her wounds intensified, and the excessive blood loss made her dizzy. A few distant wolf howls filled the air, further terrifying her!

She herself didn't know how long she had been wandering in the mountains and forests—an hour? Two hours?

Will she never be able to go back? Is she going to die here?

As he walked, he finally saw some lights ahead. Nineteen felt a surge of energy and hurried toward the lights. However, when he got closer, he was utterly disheartened.

She circled back to the mountain god temple.

But wait! The lights in this mountain god temple seem a bit too bright! Nineteen focused his attention and was shocked to find thick black smoke billowing from the windows!

It turned out that it wasn't lamplight, but firelight.

In the bright firelight, Nineteen could clearly see a human head hanging from the tree beside him. The head was bloodied, its eyes gouged out, leaving two empty black holes. His mouth was agape, as if he couldn't believe someone could act so swiftly.

Nineteen recognized that the head belonged to Wu Yuan.

The ground in front of the mountain god's temple was covered in mottled bloodstains. Scattered limbs lay strewn about, though their identities as belonging to Wu Yuan could still be discerned from their clothing. Zi Nu was nowhere to be found, and Tian Shu was also missing. It was as if some man-eating demon had entered the mountain god's temple and torn people to shreds.

Nineteen was covered in cold sweat, but he didn't feel any pain from his wounds.

A flock of crows flapped their wings and fell from the sky, picking up the scattered pieces of the corpse on the ground.

Something was stuck in her throat, making her feel like vomiting.

A faint groan came from the mountain god's temple. Someone was there! The thick smoke couldn't mask the pungent smell of blood; the acrid odor abruptly cleared Nineteen's muddled mind.

She suppressed her nausea, took a deep breath, and plunged headfirst into the thick smoke.

The fire had just started and wasn't very big yet.

A tattered brocade robe lay prostrate on the ground, his face covered in dust, no longer resembling a living person.

After seeing it clearly, Nineteen couldn't help but exclaim in surprise, "Tian Shu!?"

In a mere instant, flames were already leaping in all directions, the surrounding air grew increasingly hot, and the thick smoke made Nineteen's voice hoarse and his head spin. Forgetting all about whether it was monstrous or not, he immediately helped the half-dead Tian Shu and rushed out of the inferno.

Having just calmed down a bit, and looking at the mountain god temple engulfed in flames, Nineteen felt something beneath her feet. By the firelight, she could see it clearly.

That was a human eyeball.

Amidst the raging inferno, Nineteen, disregarding the half-dead Tian Shu beside him, squatted down and vomited without any decorum.

Chapter Seventeen: Ravage

Tian Shu slightly opened his eyes. His robes were tattered, yet his expression remained arrogant and haughty, as if he were wearing the finest robes and sitting not on the cold floor, but on an emperor's throne. Nineteen, leaning against a tree, felt as if he were about to vomit his insides again. Just as he was finally feeling a little better, he turned around and met Tian Shu's disdainful gaze.

His cold, clear eyes made it obvious to even a fool that he was calling her dirty.

An unnamed anger rose within him, and Nineteen leaped in front of him: "You disdain being saved by me, don't you?"

Tian Shu glanced at her coldly, the answer was self-evident.

"Very good! Very good!" Nineteen laughed angrily. "You've gone mad with your cultivation, haven't you?"

Judging from his appearance, he couldn't move, and his face was twisted and contorted. Wasn't he suffering from a qi deviation? If he wasn't suffering from a qi deviation, he wouldn't have been so foolish as to stab himself with the Emei Dagger!

Tian Shu gave a cold snort and didn't say anything more to her.

Nineteen, a sudden inspiration striking her, grinned maliciously and reached out to wipe Tian Shu's face. Her hands were filthy, covered in blood and ash. Tian Shu gasped, her face contorted with disbelief. "You dare?"

"You won't let me save you, but I'll save you anyway, you bastard!" Nineteen became happier and happier as she wiped her face, feeling extremely satisfied. "You think I'm dirty, so I'll make you even dirtier than me." She worked quickly, and in no time, Tian Shu's already not-so-clean face was even more of a mess.

Perhaps because of anger, Tian Shu's hands trembled slightly, and his voice also trembled a bit: "Kill me."
