Orden des Roten Lotus - Kapitel 19

Kapitel 19

"Oh." Ning Lang understood.

"Lie Chifeng." Lan Qiyu nudged the person lying on the couch with her jade fan. "Get up for me."

"Don't make a sound, I haven't slept for days." Lie Chifeng waved his hand with his eyes closed.

"You've taken up all the seats, where am I supposed to sit?" Lan Qi's eyebrows twitched, and his jade fan was imbued with a bit of true energy.

Lie Chifeng shifted his tall body slightly to make room, saying, "Lie down or sit, it's up to you."

Lan Qi's eyes twitched incessantly. With a flick of her wrist, her jade fan seemingly lightly tapped Lie Chifeng's shoulder, but the tap caused the third master of the Lie family to groan and finally open his eyes a crack.

"This carriage belongs to me, and this couch belongs to me." Lan Qi raised his chin.

"Do you want to have a match with me now?" Lie Chifeng asked coldly.

Lan Qi's green eyes widened, speechless.

Lie Chifeng's eyes were fully open, his gaze as sharp as a knife, staring intently at Lan Qi, completely unlike someone who hadn't slept for days. "To have a full-force match with you is one of the two things I haven't been able to accomplish yet."

Upon hearing this, Lan Qi grabbed her fan and groaned, "It's this again."

"If you're not going to compete, then don't argue." Lie Chifeng simply said this and closed his eyes again.

"Lie Chifeng!" Lan Qi gritted her teeth as she looked at the person lying comfortably on the couch.

The person on the couch closed their eyes and remained motionless.

"How would I know you?!" he hissed through gritted teeth.

At this moment, Yuwen Luo's feelings for Lie Chifeng went beyond mere admiration; it was downright worship! Even the seemingly helpless Lan Qishao had someone he couldn't handle? Lie Chifeng, you're truly amazing!

Lan Qi turned around, her gaze fixed on Ning Lang, and a cold, somewhat eerie smile appeared on her lips: "Ning Lang, since we are unmarried, there's nothing wrong with lying together."

"Huh?" Ning Lang, who was still standing at the door, froze.

"Ning Lang, you can sit with me." Yuwen Luo quickly pulled Ning Lang to sit down next to him.

"Hmm." Lan Qi nodded in satisfaction, then sat down gracefully on Ning Lang's couch.

The carriage swayed and finally set off again. Yuwen Luo hurriedly took out paper and pen from his pocket and wrote down what he had just seen and heard. Ning Lang sat properly beside him, Yuwen Luo closed his eyes and meditated, Ming Er poured a cup of fragrant tea, and Lan Qi picked up a fruit and put it in his mouth. The carriage was peaceful and harmonious.

A moment later, a very discordant sound suddenly rang out in the car. The Yuwen brothers and Ning Lang didn't seem to think anything of it, but Ming Er and Lan Qi turned their heads in surprise. Ming Er glanced at the sound and continued drinking his tea, while Lan Qi looked on incredulously and muttered almost shrilly, "He...he's snoring?!"

"What's so special about that? My eldest cousin's snoring is much louder. When he's asleep, the whole courtyard shakes, and you can hear it from four or five miles away," Yuwen Luo said dismissively.

“Yes, back when I slept with my fellow disciples on the mountain, I would hear their snoring every night,” Ning Lang added.

"But... how dare he snore in my car! How dare he snore in front of me!" Lan Qi kicked Lie Chifeng in the leg. "Wake up!"

Lie Chifeng remained motionless, snoring loudly.

"Lie Chifeng!" Lan Qi kicked again.

The person on the bed remained motionless, sleeping soundly, snoring softly and continuously.

Lan Qi groaned, rubbing her forehead: "So noisy!"

“A calm mind naturally leads to a calm spirit.” Ming Er put down his teacup.

Lan Qi lay limply on the small table between him and Ming Er, glancing at him, "Second Young Master, do you snore too? That would ruin your immortal image."

“I have no such habit,” Ming Er said calmly.

“Men usually snore when they sleep,” Yuwen Luo said tentatively, glancing at Lan Qi. “Haven’t you ever done it, Seventh Young Master?”

"Of course not!" Lan Qi sat up straight, flicked open his jade fan with a flourish, and exuded an air of sternness. "How could this elegant and charming young master do such a tasteless thing!"

"Huff... huff..." Lie Chifeng's snoring was quite rhythmic.

"Oh my god!" Lan Qi clutched her ears in great pain.

Yuwen Luo stared intently at Lan Qi, then turned to ask, "Ning Lang, do you snore when you sleep?"

Upon hearing this, Lan Qi immediately glared at Ning Lang with her emerald eyes: "Ning Lang, if you snore, I will definitely divorce you!"

"I won't fight," Ning Lang quickly shook his head.

"But he hit me!" Lan Qi pointed at Lie Chifeng with her jade fan, then buried her face in her hands and lay down on the table. "Are we supposed to listen to his snoring all the way here?"

Ming tapped the small table with his fingertips and asked with some curiosity, "I wonder if the sleeping acupoint and the mute acupoint have any effect on snoring?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Lan Qi jumped up, stretched out her jade fan, and swiftly tapped Lie Chifeng twice on the body, instantly stopping his thunderous snoring.

"Second Young Master still has a way." Lan Qi tapped her palm with her jade fan, quieted down, and then laughed heartily.

"This..." Young Master Ming hesitated, "Isn't it a bit unethical to strike someone's pressure points while they're asleep?"

Lan Qi blinked her emerald eyes, inwardly cursing "fake immortal!" but outwardly maintaining an innocent expression, "Wasn't it the Second Young Master who taught me?"

"I only have a question," said the Second Young Master Ming, sounding equally innocent.

"I was just doing what the Second Young Master said," Lan Qi said innocently.

Yuwen Luo stared wide-eyed, then forced back the word "hypocrite!" that was about to escape his throat. He lowered his head and continued reading "The History of the Martial World".

Yuwen, the eldest son, continued his meditation, seemingly oblivious to everything happening in the carriage.

Ning Lang also sat cross-legged, cultivating his internal energy. Chapter Twenty-Four, Part Eight: The Abundant Flower Shadows Captivate the Heavenly Charm (Part Two)

The carriage traveled north, and adding Lie Chifeng was practically the same as adding no one else. He hadn't woken up since he fell asleep that day, neither eating nor moving; if it weren't for his breathing, he would have been considered dead. Ning Lang had worried that Lan Qi might have pressed his sleeping and mute acupoints, causing him to remain asleep. He had tried to release the acupoints when Lan Qi wasn't in the carriage, fearing that continuing to press them would disrupt his blood circulation and cause him some harm. However, he couldn't undo Lan Qi's unique technique. Later, it was the Second Young Master Ming who graciously released them. But Lie Chifeng remained sound asleep, without even snoring. Yuwen Luo couldn't resist his curiosity and tried to wake the person on the bed using various methods such as shouting, pushing, pulling, pinching, patting, squeezing, and grabbing, but all to no avail. Finally, he gave up after the Second Young Master Ming said, "The Lie family's internal energy cultivation method is unique."

Five days passed, and one afternoon when everyone was drowsy, Lie Chifeng suddenly opened his eyes.

"Ah, you're finally awake." Ning Lang was the first to notice and exclaimed with delight, finally relieved that he didn't have to worry about this person sleeping forever.

Lie Chifeng glanced at Ning Lang, nodded slightly as a thank you for his concern, then reached out and snatched the cup of tea that Lan Qi had just been holding. He tilted his head back and drank it all in one gulp. He then left the empty cup open, indicating that he should pour another cup, as he was very thirsty after sleeping for so long.

Lan Qi opened her blue eyes, smiled, and smiled very kindly. She reached into her sleeve and took out a white jade porcelain bottle: "It is my good fortune to be able to serve Third Master Lie. So please drink this bottle of unparalleled 'Yellow Spring Water'." After saying that, she pulled out the stopper and was about to pour it into an empty cup.

"Yellow Spring Water?" Yuwen Luo shuddered, all sleepiness vanishing instantly, and he became wide awake. That was something that could kill instantly!

Lie Chifeng flicked his wrist, dodging the bottle of "Yellow Spring Water," and looked at Lan Qi, coldly uttering a few words: "The demonic nature is hard to change." After speaking, he reached out with his left palm into the air, and the teapot on the small table between Ming Er and Lan Qi flew into his hand, quietly without making a sound.

"Brother Lie's internal strength has improved again," Ming Er said after glancing at him.

"Brother Lie." Yuwen Luo greeted him warmly. There was no need for formalities; he had already automatically accepted him as an elder brother. After all, this was someone even Lan Qishao couldn't handle. It would be a waste of his parents' intelligence if he didn't take the opportunity to cultivate a relationship with such a capable person.

Lie Chifeng drank his tea without paying attention.

Yuwen Luo didn't take it seriously, and moved closer to him with a curious look on his face: "Brother, there's something I don't understand."

Lie Chifeng ignored Yuwen Luo's words, finished his tea, and fixed his gaze on Ming Er, "Second Young Master, how about we have a match?"

"Brother Lie, if you wish to challenge a master, you will surely find your way to Yingshan." The Second Young Master Ming ignored Lie Chifeng's persistent gaze.

“I’m talking to you.” Lie Chifeng didn’t even blink.

Ming Er glanced at Lan Qi and said, "We played the zither and sword together not long ago. Why don't you ask Young Master Qi for a match this time? Last time at Changtian Manor, I did learn a few moves from Young Master Qi, but it was just a drop in the ocean."

Upon hearing this, Lie Chifeng's eyes lit up even more, and he turned his gaze to Lan Qi, "Let's have a match."

"Not interested." Lan Qishao waved his hand dismissively.

“Brother Lie,” Yuwen Luo pressed on, “Miss Fushu said you stole something from her. We are very interested in what it is that you would like to have your eye on.”

Lie Chifeng ignored him and turned his gaze to Yuwen Yi, who was meditating with his eyes closed. After a moment of contemplation, Yuwen Yi seemed to sense his gaze, opened his eyes, and met his eyes, which were as bright as snow-white knives.

"Five years from now, your 'Red Heart Palm' will be fully mastered. Then we can have a contest."

“Okay,” Yuwen replied readily.

Lie Chifeng's gaze shifted again, this time landing on Ning Lang. He scrutinized him for a moment, his thick, dark eyebrows twitching.

Ning Lang felt extremely uncomfortable under his gaze. This man, sitting in the cramped carriage, was like a sharp sword, towering and gleaming, sending chills down one's spine. Not to mention his gaze, so cold and silent, as if peeling away skin and bones, scrutinizing him thoroughly from the inside out.

"A formidable rival ten years from now," Lie Chifeng said in a very calm tone.

Upon hearing this, Ning Lang was stunned, Yuwen glanced sideways, Ming Er smiled faintly, and Lan Qi waved her jade fan with deep, unfathomable eyes.

“Brother Lie, they can only compare themselves to you five or ten years from now. Let’s talk about the present. What exactly did you take from Miss Fushu?” Despite being ignored repeatedly, Yuwen Luo was not discouraged.

Lie Chifeng's gaze finally fell on Yuwen Luo, who quickly focused all his attention and listened attentively.

"Ambiguous talent, lazy, and only second-rate in martial arts." Lie Chifeng commented bluntly.

"Brother Lie, I'm not asking about my martial arts, I'm asking about Miss Fushu." Yuwen Luo really wanted to punch Lie Chifeng on the head a few times, but he didn't have the guts.

"Brother Yuwen, why do you keep asking about Third Master Lie? Why don't you ask me instead? I know what he stole from Miss Fushu," Lan Qi said with a smile.

"Oh, what is it?" Yuwen Luo immediately turned his head.

"Think about it." Lan Qi looked at Lie Chifeng with strange eyes, her smile extremely wicked. "A young, beautiful, unmarried woman says that a young, handsome, unmarried man stole something very important to her, and not only does she chase after him relentlessly but she also wants to spread the word throughout the world. What do you think that could be?"

"Yes..." The words "stealing hearts" had been in Yuwen Luo's heart for a long time, and now they were about to come out, but due to the cold gaze from the side, he could only keep them in his throat, hoping that Lan Qi Shao would quickly give him the answer so that he could breathe a sigh of relief.

"Adultery!" Lan Qi uttered the two words crisply.

The car fell silent for a moment, with only the sound of panting. Lie Chifeng, Yuwen Luo, Yuwen ??, Ning Lang, and Ming Er all stared at Lan Qi with wide eyes.

"Cough cough... cough cough..." Yuwen Luo suddenly coughed violently.

Ning Lang snapped out of his daze and quickly patted Yuwen Luo on the back: "Big brother, what's wrong?"

"Cough cough..." Yuwen Luo coughed hard, his face turning red and tears streaming down his face. He was alright, he'd just choked on a breath.

“Hmm, doesn’t Seventh Young Master think ‘stealing hearts’ is more elegant?” After a moment, Ming Er spoke up in a very gentle manner.

“There’s no clear and profound ‘affair’ involved.” Lan Qi waved his hand, refusing to change it. “You didn’t see how loudly Brother Yuwen coughed. This story of yours will surely be unforgettable for him.”

I will never forget this, but if I continue to spend so much time with you, Lan Qi, I will one day inexplicably die! I've made that clear to myself. Yuwen Luo thought to himself, tears streaming down his face.

Lie Chifeng stared at Lan Qi for a long, long time, then calmed his breathing and ignored her. He turned his head and saw Yuwen Luo hunched over a small table, writing something down with a silver pen and paper. He narrowed his eyes and asked, "What are you doing?"

The sound was so chilling that Yuwen Luo's hand trembled, and he almost dropped his pen.

"Oh dear, Brother Lie..." Lan Qi called out in a drawn-out voice, explaining with great kindness, "You don't know yet, do you? This Brother Yuwen takes it upon himself to record all the big and small events in the martial arts world. His ambition is to write a history book of the martial arts world. At this moment, of course, he faithfully records the timeless tale of Brother Lie and Miss Fushu's 'affair' in history, so that future generations can admire it."

"Destroy it," Lie Chifeng simply ordered, extending his hand.

"Hey!" Lan Qiyu stopped him with her fan. "The words 'adultery' came from my own mouth. I want to be remembered for all time. How can I let them be ruined?"

“Brother Lie, I also think this is a beautiful story of a hero and a beauty, and it should be known to future generations that you, Brother Lie, have feelings in addition to swords and martial arts.” Ming Er said sincerely and elegantly.
