Questions sur les chansons d'amour - Chapitre 21
I quietly reached out and pressed the small wooden piece on the edge of the bed. I heard a slight sound and felt a surge of pride. Before I could even smile, Dark Night suddenly turned around and bumped me with his elbow, making me stumble.
I turned pale with fright, watching helplessly as I suddenly found myself standing in the same spot where I had been in the darkness. The ground beneath my feet suddenly cracked open, revealing darkness below. I stared intently, as if I could see the huge fishing net, smeared with sleeping potions, shimmering with light beneath the trap.
An arm suddenly reached out from the sky, grabbed my clothes just as I was falling, dragged me over, and placed me on a chair next to the table.
The fishing net opened and closed, but it caught nothing. The trap creaked and groaned, then immediately closed again. The ground was smooth and even, and no one could tell anything was wrong.
Dark Night clapped his hands: "Not bad, not bad. Fun, fun!"
I broke out in a cold sweat. I looked at him awkwardly, speechless.
An Ye reached out and poured two cups of tea, placing one in front of me with a grin, saying, "Drink up, calm your nerves." He then downed his own cup in one gulp.
"Uh..." I watched him finish the tea in one gulp, even licking the corner of his lips with satisfaction, before slowly saying, "Um, Dark Night, I have something to tell you. This tea contains a sleeping potion, and it's really strong..."
An Ye's expression froze for a moment.
"Well, considering you saved me once, I was going to say something... but you drank too fast, and I suddenly thought that if you were going to kill me, it would be better if I killed you. You must have killed a lot of people, but I haven't yet, so it wouldn't be bad to give it a try." I smiled and nodded as I spoke, and later I even thought to myself that perhaps this was actually a pretty good game.
Dark Night glared at me: "You damned woman, you never intended to warn me, and now you're pretending."
I nodded, smiling and exclaiming, "Wow, you're so smart! You even know this?"
“I just saved you!” he accused.
I tilted my head and thought, "It seems so."
“So…” Dark Night raised an eyebrow.
I blinked and said apologetically, "I'm sorry."
"You're not going to give me the antidote?" Dark Night stared at me in disbelief.
"No." I looked at him with a smile, clapping my hands excitedly and starting to count, to see when he would collapse.
An Ye was furious, stunned for a moment, then suddenly laughed. He licked his lips, poured himself another cup of tea, slowly drank it, and nodded with a smile: "Hmm, not bad."
I stared blankly as he drank the entire pot of sleeping pills, forgetting even to count them.
Chapter 59 That Damn Monster
They told him it contained a sleeping potion, so why was he drinking it with such gusto, as if it were the most delicious tonic soup?
After finishing his drink in the dark, he flicked his wrist, and a knife landed on the table with a "bang," only a fraction of a centimeter away from my hand that was resting on the table.
“Even though I was drugged, I could still easily kill you before I collapsed. Don’t you know that once an assassin makes a move, they never return until the mission is complete?” Dark Night raised an eyebrow, his tone light and cheerful.
Is it him? Or not?
As I looked at the masked figure in the darkness, my mind raced.
If not him, who else besides him could have such a twisted ability to ingest poison as a tonic? If so, why have his eyes suddenly become so dull and lifeless? This is clearly a sign that the drug is starting to take effect. Could it be that his abilities have changed because he's in a different body?
"Hurry up, girl, are you going to do it yourself, or should I do it?" An Ye teased.
Huh, that tone? It's definitely him, there's no way I could be wrong.
I jumped up and rushed to him in a few steps. I wrapped my arms around Dark Night's neck and giggled, "Master, Master, it's you! How dare you lie to me like this? But, haha, you've finally come. Haha, that's great, hehe."
That damn monster, it'll get itchy if it doesn't tease me.
My master grabbed my hand and smiled, "Looks like I'm quite popular. Good thing, I thought some people were having so much fun that they forgot to go home."
"How could that be? I really want to go home. I miss Master so much every day," I said coquettishly.
My master flicked me on the forehead: "Did I?"
"Of course there is." I scratched my head, feeling wronged.
"By the way, Master, when did you arrive? Is this a soul transfer? This isn't your body. Oh, I see, is it because the spatial barrier was closed that your body couldn't transfer? Whose body is this? What's its identity?" As I spoke, I ripped off my master's veil.
He looked him up and down.
She had a slender figure, tall but not thin, with beautiful and delicate features, a radiant complexion, graceful and arched eyebrows, a high nose, and full, cherry-red lips. Her beautiful almond-shaped eyes were misty with tears, but at this moment, they were clouded with a hint of gloom due to the drug.
"Wow, this body is quite handsome too, no less so than Master!" I exclaimed in admiration.
"Of course." Master said proudly, "Your master is naturally a beauty, so anything that suits my body is fine."
"That's right." I quickly offered a compliment: "By the way, Master, when did you arrive? Why are you only coming to see me now?"
My master glanced at me somewhat guiltily: "I did arrive quite a while ago, but you know, the owner of this body is an assassin... You know, being an assassin is a good profession, thrilling and exciting. And, the most fun part is that the owner's soul is also inside this body, and quite powerfully so. I can't control him, so I have to interact with him to control this body, but he doesn't know anything about it. Haha, it's so much fun! Your master was having so much fun that... I forgot everything."
I was stunned, then speechless.
Chapter 60 Forgot to Play
I know my master has this quirk: whenever he encounters a beautiful woman or someone interesting, he disappears for a while, completely forgetting he even has a disciple. But this is someone else's territory! He came to rescue me, and he completely forgot! Seriously, really...
My master, however, showed absolutely no remorse and was still excitedly telling me, "It's so interesting! This morning, I had just taken over this body when someone came and offered me money to kill you. When I heard that someone wanted to kill my precious disciple, I knew this was a big deal, so I rushed over immediately."
My lips twitched a few times: "So, Master came to save me?"
Of course.
"But the way you're acting, do you look like you're here to save me? You're more like you're scaring me!" I said angrily.
