Kapitel 41

My empty eyes stared at Gui Yao, and I murmured, "No, it, will, be, alright."

That's right, Jue will be fine. Jue is so powerful, how could he be defeated by a little poison?

This belief brought me back to reality. I held Jue tightly, looking at the unconscious Jue with unwavering eyes. Yes, Jue will be alright.

Leng Tian and the others stood behind me, looking at their master with worry, while staring at the group of people with murderous eyes.

Then, several groups of people flew in from different directions and landed on the ground. One of the old men ran to my side and knelt down, frantically calling out to Jue, "Master!" He then took Jue's pulse and said to the young man behind him, who was also looking at Jue with concern, "Quickly, take Master back!"

"Yes," she said, and then came over and took Jue from my arms.

When the old man first arrived, I watched him warily. When he took Jue's pulse, I knew that the old man would save Jue. But when he asked the people behind him to take Jue away, I subconsciously tried to hug Jue, but they glanced at me with a look full of coldness, disgust, and anger. They stared at me sharply, making me feel a chill run from my feet to the top of my head.

"Let go! Does Miss Zi intend to continue harming her master?" The young man forcefully picked up Jue from the ground, speaking as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

I was bewildered, my mind went blank. When I came to my senses, I was already in my room. Recalling what had just happened, I suddenly felt like I knew nothing about it.

I hurriedly pushed open the door. There was complete silence except for the rustling of fallen leaves sweeping across the ground. Everything was so cool and gloomy, just like my heart.

I don't know which way to go. Just like someone with no sense of direction, it's hard to find Jue's room, especially since I've never been inside his room before. Obviously, in my current panic, I've completely forgotten what Xiao Wu said when I first arrived.

A sweet floral fragrance wafted on the wind, faint yet not cloying. I wondered where the fragrance was coming from along the long corridor, but I followed the scent to a relatively secluded spot.

This place is clearly different from the cold and eerie atmosphere inside the building. Every plant and tree here exudes the owner's care for them, which is warm and made my chilly heart feel a little warmer.

I don't know why, but I felt I needed to go inside, so without any prior intention, I stepped into this paradise.

Not long after I walked, I heard a woman's soft voice. I hid behind a tree and listened quietly.

"What? He's been poisoned? Is he alright?" Rou Rou's voice was soft and gentle, but you could hear the anxiety in her voice.

"Yes, Master has been poisoned, but it's alright, Miss." I recognized this voice. I've seen a few people here before, and they left a deep impression on me. I know that the one speaking is Xuan Yin.

"Are you really alright?" It was a very pleasant voice, with a touch of childlike innocence, but it wasn't unpleasant; in fact, it was quite soothing.

I don't know why Xuan Yin doesn't know I'm here, but then I suddenly remembered that it seems to have been mentioned in the Moon Spirit's manual that the Moon Spirit can hide my aura when I need it.

"That's good," the woman said with a sigh of relief.

I don't know why I was eavesdropping here. Subconsciously, I didn't want to go out and see them. I knew they were being unreasonable, but why was there still such a woman here? My heart started racing, and my breathing became rapid.

"Who!" Xuan Yin attacked me. I was caught off guard and quickly used the Moon Frame to block it. I flew out and was face to face with them.

"You know martial arts?" Xuan Yin stood in front of the woman, looking at me with murderous intent. When she saw me use the Moon Shield to hit her, a look of surprise flashed in her eyes, but after a while she looked at me warily again.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hide here," I said timidly, knowing I was in the wrong. I brushed my wind-blown hair aside and curiously looked at the corner of the woman's clothes peeking out from behind Xuan Yin.

"Xuanyin, what are you doing? How can you treat a guest like this?" The woman gently pushed Xuanyin away, her face showing a hint of anger.

"Miss," Xuan Yin glared at the woman, but seeing her stubborn face, she had no choice but to step back and stand behind her.

The woman was facing me sideways. When I saw that somewhat familiar face, I felt a little dazed and wanted to turn away, but I stubbornly wanted to stand there and see her face for myself.

A gentle breeze blew, stirring the petals that seemed to linger on the earth. The flowers twirled in the air, and a few petals drifted towards me. I pinched a petal in my hand and unconsciously murmured, "So beautiful."

"Yes, but I'm curious, how did you get in?" She still didn't face me, but looked up at the petals, her eyes so gentle that it felt like you were drowning in them.

"Is there anything strange here?" I looked around, but there was nothing there. Why can't I come in?

“There’s an array set up here,” Xuan Yin said, still looking at me with a chilling gaze, uttering words that surprised me.

"An array? But I followed the scent of the flowers here, and there wasn't an array like you mentioned along the way." I lifted a petal and smelled it; it smelled wonderful.

“Is that so? I’ve heard Master say that there are people who are born with a floral fragrance, which makes formations ineffective against them.” Xuan Yin looked at me thoughtfully.

“That makes sense,” the woman’s gentle smile did not diminish because of my unexpected intrusion.

"Since you're here, please come in and have a seat," the woman said sweetly.

"Miss!" Xuan Yin called out again. I had seen this voice before, from Xiao Wu. They were the same, when it came to the person they were protecting.

"What are you saying, Xuan Yin? Come in." She finally turned her face towards her.

I opened my eyes wide and met the same surprised gaze.

she...

Chapter 86

I was a little dazed, my mind went blank, and my whole body started to feel cold. This time, it wasn't just my body that was cold, but a chill that went to my bones. My heart ached as if it were being torn apart. It turned out that when the fog cleared, all that was left was such heartbreak.

I know my expression must be blank and silly right now, staring at her who looks about five parts like me, I don't know how to react.

"You look just like me." She was clearly taken aback, but soon a warm smile appeared on her face.

Falling petals swirled and brushed against my body, my face, and my stinging eyes.

Yes, she's so much like me. She so easily said the things I've been avoiding, and all the images I've never dared to imagine flooded my mind.

"Yes, but you're much prettier than me." Looking at her face, which was clearly more radiant than mine, I shook my head. Perhaps she was more attractive than me.

"Thank you, please come in and have a seat," she said in a sweet voice, taking my hand and leading me towards the pavilion.

Once we were seated, she turned to Xuan Yin and said, "Xuan Yin, go get some tea and pastries. We haven't had any customers for a long time."

"Miss," Xuan Yin had been standing behind me, watching me warily, as if I were going to do something to hurt this girl. When she heard the woman tell her to leave, she finally shouted out in dissatisfaction.

"Is Xuan Yin not listening to me?" The woman lowered her head slightly, her eyes, filled with sadness, staring at the ground. Her fair skin added to her melancholy. Such a delicate woman, even I wanted to protect her, let alone a man.

"Miss, I didn't." Xuan Yin was a little flustered and didn't know what to do. Then she stomped her foot, glared at me, and walked out of the pavilion and onto the path.

When the woman saw that Xuan Yin had disappeared, her sad gaze returned. She playfully stuck out her tongue at me, then apologized, "I'm sorry, Xuan Yin didn't mean to."

"It's alright." I'm starting to like this innocent woman. She looks very frail, with big, bright eyes that seem to speak volumes. Her small red lips stand out against her white skin. A pair of dimples are evenly distributed on both sides of her cheeks. When she smiles, the dimples appear and disappear on her cheeks, making her as cute as an angel. Her long, fine, black hair is often draped over her shoulders, and her light blue dress accentuates her beautiful figure.

"Why are you here?" She blinked her big eyes, staring intently at my face, as if trying to figure out why I looked so much like her.

"What do you mean by that?" I chuckled slightly; this little girl's words were a bit nonsensical.

"Ah, sorry, why are you in the Blood Tower?" Her eyes were full of curiosity. She had just told me that no one had come here for a long time, no wonder she was so curious about me.

"Hehe, I'm here as a guest." For some reason, she just didn't want to tell anyone about what was going on outside. Her eyes were so innocent that it was hard to bear adding even a hint of ambiguity to them.

"Really? Then did it come in from outside? Xuan Yin said there are a lot of bad people outside, and Xuan Yin won't let me go out." Her curiosity grew even stronger. She leaned on the table, pulled her face closer, and opened her big eyes. When she talked about Xuan Yin, she pouted her little mouth in dissatisfaction, which was extremely cute.

"Hehe, there are a lot of bad people outside, but there are also good people. Xuan Yin is doing this for your own good." I reached out and patted her head. When did I develop a mother complex? Seeing such a cute little girl, I couldn't hate her or be jealous of her at all.

"I know Xuan Yin is doing this for my own good," she said, her head drooping, a hint of sadness in her eyes.

"Then, will you come here and talk to me from now on?" Suddenly, she raised her head, took my hand, and asked me eagerly.

I lowered my eyes, desperately suppressing the sadness in my heart, and looked up at her with a smile, saying, "I'm afraid that won't work."

She lowered her head when she heard what I said.

I stood up, walked over to her, squatted down, and said to her, "It's fate that we met today. Maybe we'll meet again someday. But until then, I've already included you in my list of good friends. So, if there's a chance, we'll meet again. When that happens, I'll take you out to play, okay?" I still couldn't bear to see this innocent girl sad. As I said these words, a bitter smile crossed my face. Perhaps there was no chance.

"Really? Then it's settled." She smiled again, that same heartwarming smile as always.

"But why? Your eyes are crying," she asked me, touching her eye sockets.

My heart ached, and I pulled her hand away, saying, "I'm sad, and I have to say goodbye to you soon. I'm a guest, and I can't keep my host waiting too long."

“Yes, yes, we will have a chance to meet.” She firmly held my hand. Looking into her pupils, I seemed to see myself when I first arrived, so innocent and willful.

"What are you doing?" At this moment, Xuan Yin, who had returned, saw me holding her young lady's hand, so she immediately put the tea and pastries on the table and pulled me away from the woman.

"Xuanyin, what are you doing? She's my friend!" The woman looked at Xuanyin with annoyance, then came over, took my hand, and gave Xuanyin a bright smile.

Xuan Yin glanced at the woman, then looked at me warily. I smiled at her, and at that moment, her wariness relaxed considerably, and she became less guarded towards me.

I realized I still had something to do, something I absolutely had to do.

"I'm leaving now. By the way, what's your name?" I patted her hand and said in a forced, relaxed tone.

"Xue'er, you can just call me Xue'er." The curve of her lips was as perfect as a crescent moon. Perhaps this was the smile of an angel, which drove away all the gloom.

"Ah, Xue'er, we'll meet again someday." I let go of her hand and resolutely turned my head away.

Xue'er? Hehe, Xue'er, what a lovely name. It seems everything is so simple. I was the one who didn't understand so much.

"Miss, where have you been? Ah, why are your hands so cold?" I walked outside and saw Xiao Wu looking for me anxiously. As soon as she saw me, she went up to me and took my hand.

"It's alright, Xiao Wu. I was on my way to see Jue, but I got lost." I pulled away from Xiao Wu's grasp, not wanting her to notice anything amiss.

Xiao Wu looked at me suspiciously, then noticed the path behind me, her face filled with panic, and she asked, "Miss, where did you go?"

"Yeah, what's wrong?" I asked Xiao Wu, feigning confusion. It was then that I realized my acting skills weren't bad at all. How ridiculous that I used such acting skills on Xiao Wu.

"No," she hesitated for a moment, then looked up at me cautiously and asked, "Did you see anyone?"

"People? Who are you? There's no one here. I just got out of here. It's too big." I pretended to be surprised, then touched my head, looking very annoyed.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Xiao Wu breathe a sigh of relief, and then she said, "Miss, let me take you to see the master."

After saying that, he walked ahead and led the way for me.

As I watched Xiaowu's retreating figure, sadness welled up in my eyes.

Xiao Wu, when will you stop hiding things from me? When will you be honest with me? Heh, I seem to have forgotten again, you're his woman, how could that be...?

Chapter 87

Following Xiaowu to the room next to mine, I suddenly remembered what Xiaowu had said, and I smiled wryly as I tapped my head.

As they got closer, they could faintly hear voices coming from inside the room, some familiar and some unfamiliar.

Xiao Wu walked to the door, looked back at me, hesitated as if she wanted to say something, then sighed, pushed open the door, and I followed her inside.

As soon as I entered, the people who had been talking stopped and looked towards the door. They didn't seem to notice Xiao Wu, but when they saw a pair of embroidered shoes appear behind her, they all frowned.

I looked up at them, and most of them had disgust in their eyes. There were the old man and the young man I had met before, as well as three men who were about the same age as me. They exuded a chill that went straight to me.

Heh, I lowered my head and gave a bitter smile. Maybe I'm disliked. I've been too stupid all this time. I'm so unpopular here, and I only realized it now.

"Elder, Master, how is it?" Xiao Wu stood in front of me, shielding me from those malicious gazes, and asked the old man.
