Jiangnan Gaiden - Capítulo 11
The three petty thieves were terrified when they realized they had offended the powerful Shi family, the overlords of the north. They were practically dead, and just wanted to die.
However, Shi Wuji was not as bloodthirsty as rumored! Having shattered the Qi Sea acupoints of three people, they would likely be powerless to commit evil in the future. He cut off the arm of the man who injured Huan'er and then sent him to the authorities.

It was worth suffering this kind of injury.
While riding in the carriage together, Wuxia was no longer distant towards her; he was gentle and kind, speaking little but warmly. Clearly, the brothers Wuhen and Wujie were no longer cold towards her either.
Wuxia said they would arrive at Aolong Fort in three days. The thought of returning to Aolong Fort and having to start doing the things Su Guangping had assigned her was troubling. Stealing the account book, observing the people Shi Wuji associated with, investigating his background… She didn't want to betray Shi Wuji, but she couldn't abandon Yu Niang either. She had to rack her brains to find a way to satisfy both sides. A way to deceive Su Guangping without betraying Wuji… Hey! She could secretly look at his account book and write one herself, of course, she could change the contents however she wanted—that would definitely work! After all, she only needed the account book to get by; Su Guangping didn't expect her to be responsible for the contents. And, if Aolong Fort was truly impregnable, then it must have some kind of underground tunnel system; she could just draw a rough floor plan and that should be enough…
She was so engrossed in her meditation that when the carriage suddenly stopped, she didn't have time to grab the handrail and fell forward!
"Sister-in-law!" Wuxia exclaimed in surprise!
Upon hearing the shouts, the three brothers immediately spurred their horses and galloped over. Shi Wuji quickly dismounted and unfurled the cloth. However, what he saw almost made him burst out laughing.
Huan'er plunged headfirst into the pile of luggage, clothes, books, blankets, and miscellaneous items covering her in a small mountain, leaving only her delicate feet peeking out as she struggled and waved. He chuckled softly, pulled his wife out, and held her in his arms!
Are you alright?
"It's alright." She looked embarrassed at her husband's amused expression, then at Wuxia's flushed cheeks as she tried to hold back her laughter. Meanwhile, Shi Wuhen and Shi Wujie were already doubled over with laughter! Wujie even dramatically slid off his horse!
She glared at them, then looked back at her husband, offering a futile explanation:
"I was so bored! So I closed my eyes and took a nap, but who knew the carriage would suddenly stop."
Shi Wuji raised an eyebrow.
"Now you'll never be bored again."
"Oh!" Her attention was drawn to the yellow dust on his face. She took out a handkerchief to clean it off, completely oblivious to the surprised looks from the crowd. She was flirting with a man in full view of everyone, even her own husband, which was far too inappropriate.
But Shi Wuji did not stop him. In an instant, his whole body was filled with tenderness. Even though he knew he had to correct it, he remained silent, reluctant to speak.
Huan'er put away her handkerchief, put her hands on her hips, and looked at him.
"Okay, now you can tell me, what good reason do we have to stop suddenly? To make me fall so badly?"
Shi Wuji easily lifted her down from the carriage. As soon as she landed, Huan'er exclaimed excitedly, "Wow! My goodness! Sheep, and horses? Thousands upon thousands! This is the first time in my life I've seen such a huge pasture! The fence seems to stretch to the horizon, you can't see the other side. Whose is this? The owner must be very powerful! How amazing! To own such a large pasture!" She jumped and ran as she spoke, greedily taking in the vast grasslands around her! As the saying goes, "The sky is vast, the fields are boundless, the wind blows the grass low, revealing cattle and sheep." Wasn't this the perfect scene? She ran close to the fence, intending to jump over and hug the flocks of snow-white sheep, to wander among the lush green grass and watch the clouds drift by!
A strong arm caught her slender waist just in time—
"There's a door over there," Shi Wuji whispered in her ear.

Chapter Three
Following the direction he pointed, about twenty paces away, stood two rows of uniformly dressed servants, grooms, and maids, forming a wall of people. They all stared in disbelief at the newly appointed eldest daughter-in-law of the Shi family.
