Capítulo 70

Song Lang felt a chill run down his spine; he didn't even dare to turn around and look at Hao Wei.

After enduring until the afternoon's PE class, when the teacher ordered everyone to disperse, Song Lang strode towards Hao Wei and asked, "Want to walk around with me?"

Hao Wei had the same idea. Amidst the ambiguous gazes of her companions, she walked along the track with Song Lang, which surprised Meng Fanxing and An Ru.

Neither of them spoke at first; Hao Wei was in no hurry, while Song Lang didn't know how to start the conversation.

After walking the third lap, Hao Wei stopped, looked up at him and smiled: "Are you going to tell me or not? When did you become so indecisive? It seems that saying still holds some truth."

"What did you say?" Song Lang asked.

Hao Wei looked around to make sure no one was there before saying, "Love makes people timid and hesitant."

Song Lang's mind went blank: "Don't talk nonsense!"

Hao Wei smiled and walked in front of him, backing away as she said, "Why are you so excited? Am I wrong? If you didn't like her, would you have hugged and kissed her for so long?"

"You...you saw it?" Song Lang's throat tightened, and he almost bit his tongue as he spoke.

"Even though there weren't many people in the theater, you two are really bold, putting clothes on your heads as if you're afraid people won't know you're kissing?"

Seeing how nervous he was, Hao Wei smiled and waved at him, saying, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. You should be glad that it was me who saw him, not Meng Fanxing, otherwise, with his loud and boisterous manner, you would have a real headache."

Song Lang did not feel relieved by this. After thinking it over again and again, he tentatively asked, "Don't you... think it's perverted?"

Hao Wei frowned and said, "What era are we living in? Sexual orientation is free. Those who call it perverted are just narrow-minded. Besides, it's none of anyone else's business if two people are in a relationship."

“I mean, I’m his brother… buddy.” Song Lang wasn’t sure if Hao Wei knew that he and Shen Zhifei were brothers, so he paused for a moment and used a rather vague term.

“There are many kinds of romantic relationships in this world. There’s love at first sight, and there’s friendship that turns into romance. As long as both people are willing, isn’t that enough?” Hao Wei turned around and walked alongside him, saying, “Don’t say you’re his buddy. Even if you were his buddy, so what?”

Song Lang was choked by the cold wind and coughed until his face turned red.

While patting his back, Hao Wei said, "I was just joking. What are you doing? I have a rather heavy taste when it comes to reading novels and comics. I read all kinds of stories, including father-son stories, brother stories, and stepmother stories. I'm quite knowledgeable and well-read."

"What kind of crap do you watch all day?" Song Lang cleared his throat, his face still red.

"Reading novels is fine," Hao Wei chuckled, "as long as it hits my sweet spot, I'm okay with anything. As for real people, it's mainly about looks; as long as there's no blood relation, I'm fine with that too."

Song Lang was speechless: "In the end, you're just a sucker for good looks."

"You dare say you're not?" Hao Wei nudged him with her elbow and chuckled in a low voice, "Your classmate Shen is really handsome. When he came to the school to see you last year, Xiaojun and I were completely smitten. We tried every possible way to get his contact information, and we finally managed to get him to come out, but tsk tsk—he's already taken."

Although Song Lang felt a little uncomfortable, he did not deny Hao Wei's definition of their relationship.

This intimacy, born from misunderstanding, allowed him to secretly savor a touch of sweetness.

"When did you two get together?" Hao Wei asked, then immediately changed her mind. "Don't tell me, let me guess. Last year when he came to see you, you still had a girlfriend. You probably weren't gay back then, but you definitely had those kinds of feelings, otherwise you wouldn't have rushed after him. So I guess it was during the winter break, right?"

"Stop guessing, it's impossible for us," Song Lang said.

"Huh?" Hao Wei was surprised.

"Sigh, this matter is rather complicated, I can't explain it." Song Lang sighed.

Although Hao Wei's words "as long as there is no blood relation" had tempted him a little, so what?

Can he really go to any lengths to win over Shen Zhifei?

What should I do if my parents find out?

Even if we take a step back and say they're both too young, not even close to adulthood, life is so long. If they just opened Pandora's box on a whim, what will happen to him and Shen Zhifei after they separate?

He's the older brother; he can't be so irresponsible.

"Hey, hey, stop thinking nonsense. Your ex-girlfriend is here." Hao Wei pinched his arm, keeping a smile on her face and speaking in a low voice while trying not to move her lips, "Look at this situation, it seems like she's coming for me. You'd better protect me later, or I'll tell Meng Fanxing about you."

"Hey, sister, your expression changed a little too quickly, didn't it?"

As soon as Song Lang finished speaking, An Ru came up to them, her expression from that morning reappearing. This time, Song Lang understood what she meant.

"Are you two together?" Anru looked up at Song Lang, tears welling in her eyes, her tone a mixture of accusation and anger. "You...you left me that day because of her?"

Song Lang didn't immediately realize which day she was referring to.

Anru, however, took his hesitation as consent.

She raised her hand and slapped Song Lang hard across the face, so hard that Song Lang's head was turned to the side and half of his face was numb.

"What the hell?! Are you out of your mind?!" Hao Wei shoved An Ru away. "Let's talk this out! Why are you hitting people?!"

Anru stumbled a couple of times after being pushed, then angrily rushed over and grabbed Hao Wei's ponytail. "I'm not only going to hit him, I'm going to hit you too! Is it fun for you two to play tricks on me behind my back?! If Song Lang hadn't abandoned me, would I have gone to find Gu Fengkai in a fit of anger?!"

Hao Wei, enduring the pain, pulled at her ear and said, "You blame others for your own foolishness? What are you pretending to be pitiful for! Do you dare say that Song Lang's only cuckoldry is with that guy surnamed Gu?!"

Song Lang then realized why Anru had her attack.

Ignoring the pain in his cheek, he went over and pulled the two people apart, shielding Hao Wei behind him, and said to An Ru, "You've misunderstood, it has nothing to do with Hao Wei."

Anru's hair was a mess, and tears streamed down her face. She looked utterly disheveled. Song Lang pulled out half a tissue from his pocket and handed it to her. "Wipe it off. If you're still angry about what happened between us, just slap me again. I won't dodge."

Anru cried even harder, and as she took the tissue, she grasped Song Lang's hand, "Song Lang, I..."

"Even a good horse doesn't turn back to eat the grass it already grazed, let alone now that he's changed his tastes. Sister, can't you just find someone else to ruin your life?" Hao Wei was furious and poked her head out from behind Song Lang to shut An Ru up from her plea to get back together.

The two started tearing at each other again.

Girls sometimes fight fiercely more than boys, and Song Lang, trying to break up the fight, got scratched several times by someone. Noticing the commotion, classmates rushed over, with Meng Fanxing leading the way, desperately protecting the goddess behind her, while Song Lang was pushed aside.
