Eine eisige Aura - Kapitel 27

Kapitel 27

Pang Wan frowned but did not answer.

"Tsk tsk, this little wench has a nice figure. Let me see her up?" A hairy arm reached out, trying to lift her chin.

Pang Wan turned her face away without showing any emotion.

"Oh, still shy, huh!" The owner of the arm grinned, spittle flying out along with a foul, fishy smell. "I love it when people are shy!" he said, and then reached for the tip of his knife to pry open Pang Wan's collar.

Pang Wan was just looking for a place to vent his anger when he saw this group of unlucky perverts automatically delivering themselves to his door. He swiftly knocked the knife to the ground.

"You choose the path to hell when there's a way to heaven!"

Under the bright white moon, she stood up straight, raising her golden whip high, her expression as cold as frost in the twelfth lunar month: "Today, this old lady will give you some pointers!"

The burly men with knives were taken aback at first, then exchanged glances with each other, shouted, and pounced on Pang Wan at the same time.

The four men were locked in a fierce battle. Taking advantage of his drunkenness, Pang Wan attacked ruthlessly and accurately, quickly gaining the upper hand.

In a dark corner of the alley not far away, a pair of captivating eyes were quietly watching this scene.

Just before the last thug fell to the ground, the owner of those eyes suddenly spoke:

"Add five more people, first class."

Just as victory seemed within reach and Pang Wan was about to withdraw and leave, several unidentified men in black suddenly appeared beside her. Without a word, they launched an attack on her, each move a deadly and ruthless strike.

These men were far more skilled than the thugs from before. Pang Wan twisted his ankle, and with the effects of the alcohol, he gradually found it difficult to cope.

For a moment she was distracted, a sharp sword suddenly grazed her cheek, slicing off half of her hair.

A fleeting look of panic crossed her almond-shaped eyes, which then erupted in fury—they dared to hit her face? How dare these people harm her lovely, beautiful face? The villains could hit her anywhere, but they couldn't hurt the face she was using to build her empire!

With a sharp "crack," the golden whip slammed into the person who had almost injured her. The person was jolted back more than ten steps, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"Slash her face!" the man shouted, clutching his chest and staggering before falling to the ground heroically.

The remaining men in black immediately changed their tactics, unleashing a barrage of weapons aimed directly at her face—swords, claws, hooks, nails, clubs, guns, forks, and rings—as if they wouldn't stop until they tore her face apart.

Having his weakness exposed, Pang Wan had no choice but to dodge left and right, nearly vomiting the wine in his stomach. Just when he could no longer bear it, a small red needle quietly slipped out from his sleeve.

Suddenly, a gust of cold wind swept by, and the men in black in the arena seemed to be frozen in place, completely motionless.

"Young lady, you've been frightened."

A pale-faced man in gray clothes landed, turned around, and gracefully clasped his hands in a salute to Pang Wan.

Pang Wan didn't answer, but clenched his teeth, his chest heaving, and he was panting heavily.

"I have subdued the thief by striking his pressure points, so you don't need to worry, young lady."

The man in gray bowed to her again, politely.

"Why did you save me?" Pang Wan looked at him coldly, maintaining her attack stance, her expression showing no sign of relaxation.

The man in gray chuckled twice and pointed behind her: "This is my young master's order."

Following the direction he pointed, Pang Wan noticed a tall carriage that had quietly stopped at the alley entrance. The carriage was quite peculiar; everything from the horses to the carriage itself was black, and even the coachman wore a black hood. The entire carriage looked like the mount of the Ghost King, which had just arrived from hell.

"Reporting to young master, the person has been rescued and brought safely."

The man in gray announced the news to the carriage from afar.

After a moment of silence, the pitch-black curtain was suddenly lifted slightly, revealing a few rays of dim light inside.

"Miss, please." The man in gray respectfully raised his hand to Pang Wan.

Pang Wan glanced back at the man in gray, a bright smile spreading across her face, and walked nonchalantly toward the carriage.

Closer, closer, I can already see the dim lights inside the car.

A glint flashed in her eyes.

Closer, closer, I can now clearly see that jade-like hand holding the curtain.

With a loud bang, Pang Wanlingyan leaped into the air and flipped into the carriage, simultaneously pulling her golden whip and locking it firmly against the throat of the person inside.

"Who are you? What are your intentions? Speak!" She stared at the newcomer like a hungry wolf or tiger, her eyes fierce and her tone sharp.

The entire sequence of actions was completed in the blink of an eye, executed in one smooth motion like a whirlwind, leaving no chance for anyone else to intervene.

The man paused, then slowly turned his face.

"It's you?" Pang Wan was taken aback, her grip loosened slightly, and the whip slid half an inch down the man's slender neck.

It was the same golden-crowned young master who had spied on her at the restaurant a few days ago.

"Girl! Why do this!"

The man in gray called out loudly from outside the carriage. He looked anxious, but for some reason, he didn't dare to step into the carriage and just hesitated in place.

"Take it away." The young master glanced at the weapon under his neck, a hint of disgust flashing across his face.

Pang Wan's gaze was intense, her red lips pursed, and she tightened the golden whip in her hand again: "Who are you?" Her nose almost poked the other person's face.

"My young master intervened to help those in need, young lady, please don't repay kindness with ingratitude!" The hoarse voice rang out again from outside the carriage.

Pang Wan glanced at the young master and saw that he remained calm throughout. After pondering for a moment, she finally moved the whip away.

"You've been following me?" She retreated to the soft couch, tilting her head to examine him.
