They had never been this close before.
The first time they kissed, they only touched each other's faces, and his movements were gentle. But now, his body was pressed completely against hers. Shi Nan tried to break free, only to find that he didn't budge an inch. She hadn't realized how strong men could be.

Shi Nan woke up, her face flushed, pushed him away, and stepped out of his grasp. He didn't stop her.
She walked ahead, and he followed behind. The wind swept across the lake, carrying its scent—an ambiguous scent—which then brushed against his face.
Shi Nan spoke softly, "Why are you back?"
"...Isn't the intention obvious enough?"
Shi Nan turned to look at him, looking puzzled.
"Shi Nan, are you really stupid or just pretending?"
It's not that I want to play dumb, it's that I'm afraid I'll misunderstand. Shi Nan thought to herself, but glared at him and asked, "You dare call me stupid?!"
Lan Di sighed, "You're not stupid. I'm the stupid one. I didn't even know you had a boyfriend, and I still stupidly ran back here."
Shi Nan then realized that she hadn't explained Ye Feng's situation to him yet.
He is not my boyfriend.

"Then who do you take me for?"
"Good friend." Only after saying the words did Shi Nan realize he had been tricked.
"Oh, they're good friends too. If you can kiss me, can't you kiss him too?"
Shi Nan really wanted to slap him.
The wind suddenly became damp.
The next second, lightning flashed overhead, and large raindrops cascaded down. It was raining, and it was a rare downpour in Beijing. Shi Nan and Ye Feng hadn't brought jackets when they left school, and in less than half a minute, they were soaked. She wasn't wearing a bra; her thin cotton shirt, after being soaked, clung to her body, clearly outlining her figure.
Lan Di frowned, took off his coat, and quickly draped it over her shoulders. Shi Nan refused, struggling to take it off and hand it back to him, saying, "You only have a T-shirt underneath. If you give it to me, you'll catch a cold from the rain. I'm already soaked through, so it doesn't matter if I have this one or not."
"I'm not worried about you catching a cold!" Lan Di said angrily. "Do you want everyone to see you like this?!"
Shi Nan looked down at herself, her face turning completely red. She stopped struggling and let Lan Di help her put on her clothes.
There were no taxis to be found here, and it was quite a distance to walk out. If they walked like this, Lan Di would probably get a fever. Shi Nan pulled him under the eaves, tilted his face up to face him, and said, "Hold me."
Landi understood what she meant; she wanted to warm him up.
He stretched out his arms and encircled her waist. She put her hands on his neck, stood on tiptoe, and hugged him tightly, so that there was no gap between their bodies.
The thunderstorm could not obscure the bright moon in the sky.
Left ear to left ear, the two waited quietly for the rain to stop.
Tempt me
After about ten minutes, the rain lessened. Lan Di reached out and touched the air. "Let's go out now," he said, taking Shi Nan's hand and leading her briskly along the winding road. She followed him nimbly. Luckily, there was an empty car waiting at the intersection.
Once in the car, the driver asked where they were going. The two looked at each other but didn't say anything.
The driver asked again.
Lan Di told the driver to go to Dongdan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Street, and then said to Shi Nan, "You can't go back like this, you have to take a hot shower." Shi Nan nodded.
The car started moving, and he pulled her close, encircling her in his arms. Shi Nan felt a little dazed, but his embrace felt so comforting that she closed her eyes. He was so warm.
It seemed like only a short while before the car stopped. She half-opened her eyes and saw the sign for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' staff quarters, knowing they had arrived at his home. Reluctantly, she left his embrace. He paid the fare, then led her through the residential complex, into the gate, and up the stairs.
He opened the door and let her in first; it was much warmer inside. She glanced around the room—a black and white color scheme, Japanese-style decor, a duplex structure. Lan Di pointed upstairs, "I live upstairs."
He took her hand, led her upstairs, and took her directly into the bathroom. He adjusted the water temperature for her and took out a thick white towel from the cabinet.
"You shower here, I'll go downstairs to my parents' room." He didn't look at her, but she saw his face turn red.
"Hmm," Shi Nan replied, then suddenly remembered something, "Oh no, I don't have any clean clothes to change into."
Landi then realized, "Will mine be okay? I should have a new one. I'll go find one for you. Wait a moment."
Seeing his soaking wet appearance, Shi Nan stopped him, "No, stop. Go take a shower first, and find your clothes after you're done washing them. Don't rush, or you'll catch a cold."
Lan Di glanced at her, hummed in agreement, and left.
As Shi Nan undressed, she glanced around his bathroom, a sea of blue. Blue water-ripple patterned tiles, a blue sink, a blue vanity, even the mirror had a blue frame. A vast expanse of blue; standing in the center, she felt as if she were standing on the seabed, as if she had entered his heart.
She took off her soaking wet clothes and turned on the water tap. The warm water felt so comforting after being drenched in cool rain. She slowly let the water wash over her, waiting for her body to warm up completely.
She remembered the scent of the shower gel; it was his. It smelled the same today and that time in the stairwell. Apparently, he never changed it. In contrast, Shi Nan was much more fickle, always buying things he hadn't used before.
She really loved it here. She lingered, lathering up her body with lots of shower gel, covering every inch of her skin with foam.
She suddenly felt playful and wanted to look in the mirror to see what she would look like with her whole body covered in white foam, so she went to open the door.
She had just opened the bathroom door when she heard the last knock, but it was too late. At that moment, the bathroom door opened, and Lan Di was about to come in, wearing a bathrobe and holding clothes he was about to hand her, but he froze in the doorway the instant he saw her.
Rewind time, and there's that familiar scene.
During his graduation physical exam that year, while the other boys were making noise in the corridor, he stood quietly by the door. The female school doctor smiled and said to him, "Young man, please stand over here, I need to open the door."
He stood up and went to the door, but just as the school doctor entered, the curtain fluttered open, revealing her inside wearing only underwear and with her upper body bare.

She didn't hide; he could do whatever he wanted. She wasn't afraid; she liked him treating her this way.
After wiping her down, he carried her to his bed. His sheets were even blue. She lay on her back on his bed, her face towards him. He opened her bathrobe, and she didn't flinch.
She touched him; he was burning hot. Then she touched herself; she felt burning hot too. "It seems we still have a fever."
Lan Di hummed in agreement, seemingly unconcerned.
